Such a cute book about a young boy that reads to his chickens until one day, instead of bringing books, he brings his hand held game and the chickens have to find a way to tell the boy they want books! I really enjoyed this book because it has a very good meaning. Illustrations are so bright and colorful that made it a fun book to read. I highly recommend it to kids of all ages to remind everyone that books are wonderful for even chickens. Thanks #Netgalley for the early review copy. I loved it!
Even though the story was a little bit simplified, I enjoyed the core idea. A boy who reads to the chicken of the coop until her gets immersed in a console game - he forgets about the books, the chicken and wants to be left alone. Luckily, the chicken find a way to get his attention back.
The story showed how dangerous it can be if children get access to console and computer games at an age too young and how addictive these games can be.
A charming little story of Quiet Little Red who loves books. She has a friend named Henry who stops by her coop after school and reads to her and six other chickens.
One day instead of bringing books, Henry shows up with a video game 🎮 and becomes engrossed in playing the game that he ignores the chickens. The chickens grow concerned and try to find a way to communicate to Henry. Eventually Henry gets the message and shows up with a book on his next visit.
Thank you to Angela Hunt, NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC of this book.
Just adorable! The story was cute and the pictures were even better. This is a good book for kids starting to read and learning new words. The book has a good flow of the words and will be popular with kids.
