'We've come a long way, haven't we, God?'
I've been a Robin Lee Hatcher fan for a lot of years and never miss one of her good books. She certainly pulls on the heart strings here. A sweet time slip, we meet such wonderful characters. Folks with real problems, some very hard, but who have learned that trusting God will make all the difference. I loved it from the beginning to the end. This story is poignant, moving and such a pleasure to read. Well done!

Robin Lee Hatcher authors wonderful Christian romance novels, and "Make You Feel My Love" is no exception. In this book, Chelsea Spencer is trying to escape her traumatic past by working at her great aunt's antique shop in a tiny western town. While there, she meets movie star Liam Chandler, who's trying to work through some baggage of his own. Along the way, Liam is discovering the truth of his family's past.

I enjoyed Hatcher's ability to craft a sweet, pure romance but felt that some of the obstacles were too neatly overcome. Life is messier than what she portrayed in this book. I also felt that the flashbacks to Liam's ancestors took me out of the main story line at times. Overall, this was a quick, easy read and I enjoyed it.

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

Make You Feel My Love is a wonderful novel that I didn't want to end. I enjoyed the period switches between present day and the historical fiction. The story with the two time periods includes two beautifully woven loves that I couldn't stop reading.

Robin Lee Hatcher has done it again. Make You Feel My Love is a wonderful story. It’s one I didn’t want to end. The writing is beautiful. The transitions between the contemporary story and the historical story work very well, and I found that when I came to the end of each chapter I desperately needed to turn the page to discover what was coming next. In addition to the flawless writing, I love the characters. This story focuses on four unique characters — Preston and Cora, and Liam and Chelsea. Preston and Cora’s story tells about the foundation of the Chandler family line that eventually leads to Liam and his brother, Jacob. I don’t want to accidentally let slip how Preston and Cora come together as a couple, but let me say, it is Cora’s bravery and courage to do what she did in the late 1800s as a single woman that had me glued to my chair refusing to do anything but read this story. Cora is outstanding and I cheered for her the whole time. I actually wish I had a pinch of her bravery. Liam and Chelsea’s story is the modern-era story and I was hooked from page 1. Chelsea, who is running from a real-life terror, ends up seeking refuge at her great-aunt’s home in Chickadee Creek, Idaho. It is here in Chickadee Creek that she meets, and slowly falls for, Liam Chandler. Liam is in Chickadee Creek trying to come to grips with the loss of his beloved brother, Jacob. As their friendship grows and the trust between them blossoms, both Liam and Chelsea find themselves falling for each other hard. What I appreciate the most about their journey to love is how they both make clear right from the start that their relationship with God matters the most. God will be their center or no-go. Personally, I think being equally yoked may be the most important aspect to a couple’s relationship so I really, really love this. I also really love how Liam and Chelsea force themselves to push past the hard emotions that they would normally hide in order to be 100% honest and open with one another. There is so much to like about their relationship, but it’s their reliance on God and their drive to be honest and open with each other that makes Liam and Chelsea’s relationship spectacular. And, if this isn’t enough reason to love this book, the many thought-provoking and self-reflective topics set this novel up as way more than just a sweet Romance tale.

Make You Feel My Love by Robin Lee Hatcher is a spectacular novel that I highly, highly recommend. If you love Contemporary Romances, if you love Historical Romances, and if you love stories that make you think and self-reflect, then definitely add Make You Feel My Love to your TBR list today. You will definitely want to read this beautiful story!

Chelsea Spencer goes to Chickadee Creek to help her great aunt Rosemary with her antique shop while her Aunt recovers. Liam Chandler is a local homeowner who is a Hollywood star that is contemplating his future and hiding out from his agent who wants him to sign for a blockbuster movie that is trying to recruit him. Chelsea and Liam become interested in Liam's family history in the town and especially in an old violin that was found in the shop and belonged to Liam's great-great grandmother. This is a charming story and involves family dynamics in both Chelsea's family and Liam's family. and values and integrity.

Who is she so afraid of?

I like the historical side story. Fun.

I like this Preston Chandler fellow.

She has PTSD.

Has Cora ever written her parents?

I like his diary entries.

You would think being a Chandler would give him the land rights for free.

Ooh, is David his father?

I think you can be faithful and superstitious.

Geez. No wonder she has panic attacks!

Well I was wrong.

Cora's father needs to get a life. She married the richest man in town!

I didn't know about the economic crisis in the 1890s.

A great story about a hard topic. A dual timeline of two women and the abuse in their lives. I really enjoyed the way this story shares such truth and depth of their lives. I always enjoy her writing. I received an advanced copy from netgalley and the publisher.

This is the story of 2 women from 2 different times. Both were involved in abusive relationships. The story goes back and forth from past to present following the women who learn to love again. I liked the story but I didn’t fully connect with the 2 women. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.

Two women, one in the present day and one in the late 1800s, grow up with controlling, abusive fathers. Chelsea’s father died, but then her boyfriend proved to be just as bad. Both Chelsea and Cora escape and end up in Chickadee Creek, Idaho. They find healing, strength, and learn to love Chandler men. In the present day, Liam Chandler is an actor, which seems to be a popular occupation in novels lately.
A satisfying story full of the Scriptures that guide them to brighter futures. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

The title of this book puts an earworm in my head, so I look it up and it's a Bob Dylan song from 1997, and the song encapsulates the basics of Robin Lee Hatcher's plot.

Chelsea needs to escape a bad relationship and her timing couldn't be better because her great-aunt needs some help to recover from a fall. So Chelsea ends up in Chickadee Creek, Idaho, to help Rosemary get back on her feet.

Liam recently lost his younger brother to cancer and needs to hide from the glitz and glam of Hollywood to mourn his loss. Chickadee Creek offers him the refuge he needs to get away from all that his life in Hollywood entails.

While Chelsea is helping Rosemary clean up her antique shop, she comes across a violin, something she always wanted to learn. Rosemary gives the violin to her, but she finds out that the instrument is worth far more than she ever imagined and it once belonged to Liam's great-great grand mother, Cora.

Chelsea takes the violin to Liam, but instead of wanting it for himself, he gives the instrument to Chelsea for her own use. The more Chelsea and Liam are around each other, the more they begin to like each other. Chelsea has her own dark secrets that she has to overcome to grow in her relationship with Liam. Both Rosemary and Liam help Chelsea with battling her fears and growing her faith.

I have been familiar with Robin's writings for many years. She wrote for the secular market before she started writing for the Christian market and I saw many of her books in the bookstore where I worked for over fifteen years. The quality of her writing has not changed, just the focus. I appreciate the way Robin has worked growing faith into her novels and she even used my favorite verse in this one. 😊

Robin tells Chelsea's and Liam's stories along with the history of the town of Chickadee Creek and Liam's forebears in this book. It takes a while for the two plots to merge together but each story is a fascination in and of itself. This is a solid four star book that is great to read on a rainy day, curled up with a blanket and a cup of hot tea by your side.

This is the second Robin Lee Hatcher book I've read and it was fantastic! Her duel timelines and the connecting factor made the story even more fascinating but the two love stories were romantic on their own. Her inclusion of relevant scripture warmed my heart. I see many more of her novels on my future reading list. A not to be missed book!

I am not sure why but this duel time-line story is one of my favorite types. I can always count on Robin for an exciting, entertaining, and still wholesome novel. I love the way she weaves a thread of faith and belief throughout her work. This author has a way of capturing your heart and taking you on a great adventure withing the first few lines. The little town of Chickadee Creek, Idaho sounded like the perfect small town you would want to move to. Her characters are always well crafted and someone you might want for a neighbor or friend. Even the bad guy, Tom Goodman in the story is the kind you love to hate. I loved this story and would highly recommend it.

Make You Feel my Love is about 2 different women. Although they live during different time periods, their stories are woven together to tell their story. Cora and Chelsea both escape abusive relationship, living in fear. But, they learn how to trust and love again.
While I thought this was beautifully written, I struggled to fall in love with the characters. I felt that there was a lack of character description, making it difficult to visualize them.

This book is a modern day story interwoven with a historical story. This adds to the story and helps to layer it. This book included themes of healing, conquering your past and giving your all to God.

This seems to be a standalone book but I did wonder if there is potential for it to become a series due to the mention of a character mentioned to be moving in. I would definitely read another in this series.

This book was given to me to read for free in exchange for an honest review. Since it was a good afternoon of reading and relaxing, I'm happy to positively review this and recommend it to others.

MAKE YOU FEEL MY LOVE by ROBIN LEE HATCHER is a beautifully written split timeline romance novel in which the two stories run seamlessly side by side, meeting up when an old and valuable violin is found in Rosemary Townsend's antique shop.
Both Chelsea Spencer, in present time, and Cora Anderson, in 1895, escape abusive and controlling situations by moving to the small town of Chickadee Creek, each of them wondering if their past lives will catch up with them there.
There are really great characters and beautiful love stories in each time period and there is strong biblical truth running through the novel. It is good to see, amongst other things, Chelsea overcoming fear by holding on to her faith and the Bible verses that she knows, Cora choosing faith over superstition and Liam Chandler coming to Chickadee Creek in order to get his priorities in order.
The novel is about sacrificial love, redemption, forgiveness, the healing of broken lives and the strength that comes from the Lord when one is weak.
It is altogether an enjoyable and inspirational read and one I cannot recommend highly enough.
