Grave Reservations was little surprise for me. Similar vibes to Janet Evanovich. A cozy little mystery which makes you want more and I also want more to know how the Detective and main characters relationship evolves.

This was a great read, had strong characters, and was authentic to the Seattle region. I enjoyed reading it as someone who has lived in Seattle for the past 12 years. Also a good fit for the cozy mystery genre, with character types, love interest, animals, quirky hobbies, and the title of the book.

Here's a breakdown of the book's strengths and weaknesses:
Strengths:
Unique blend of genres: Cozy mystery meets the paranormal in a refreshing way.
Compelling characters: Leda and Grady are well-developed and engaging.
Witty dialogue: The banter between characters adds humor and keeps the story lighthearted.
Intriguing plot: The mystery unfolds gradually, with enough suspense to keep the reader hooked.
Weaknesses:
Pacing: The story can feel slow at times, especially in the beginning.
Supernatural elements: Some readers might find the psychic aspects a bit too outlandish.
Overall, "Grave Reservations" is a fun and entertaining read. It's perfect for fans of quirky mysteries with a touch of the supernatural. If you're looking for a book that will make you laugh, think, and stay up way too late turning pages, then this is the one for you.

I really enjoyed this!
Leda is a psychic and travel agent working in Seattle. She teams up with Detective Grady to solve a cold case murder mystery.
This is a great cozy mystery to get lost in.

As per usual I started reading this series (The Booking Agents) out of order and read book two before I started this one. I think they work fine as a stand-alone, you'll just have more background on the characters if you start with book one.
Leda is a psychic and travel agent working in Seattle. She teams up with Detective Grady to solve a cold case in this cozy murder mystery. I really enjoyed the characters and the psychic aspects of the story, particularly when Leda sings at Klairvoyant Karaoke, that was fantastic. I'll also always pick up a book set in Seattle. Having lived there I feel like I can really picture the locations and the general vibe of the places in the book. In short, this is a great book to curl up on the sofa with and lose yourself for a while.

Leda is a struggling travel agent who sometimes uses her psychic premonitions to help her clients avoid travel-related disasters. (More often, she uses those psychic abilities to wow the crowd at karaoke night.) But when she uses her abilities to help save a police detective, he turns to her to help solve a murder case that has completely stumped him. Soon, they're a team (though the straitlaced detective says they're not) and she's having all kinds of premonitions to help out.
I'll be honest: I read this book several months back, forgot to blog about it until now, and had to look up the main character's name, as I don't remember much about the actual crime or plot. But what I do remember is absolutely loving this cozy mystery, which is hilarious and fun and just completely wonderful. I can't wait to read more about Leda!

I never got to cover these psychic travel agent murder mysteries by @skullsandpinkflamingos last year, so I called my dad today (you may remember that he and I read the @vaseemkhanwriter mysteries together!) to see if he would give them a good home. He accepted, so they'll be making their way to Michigan. If they go air mail, hopefully a psychic travel agent will reroute then from any dangerous flights!
In this series, inconsistent psychic Leda and Seattle PD detective Grady team up to solve crimes, starting with a pair of seemingly unrelated cold cases in GRAVE RESERVATIONS, and searching for a missing person (and a missing pooch!) in FLIGHT RISK. Thanks again to @atriabooks for sending these my way!

I'm such a fan of this genre of cozy-ish mysteries that are smart, witty and fast. Featuring a fun cast of characters, I'm excited for things to come for this series and this author.

Fun and unique! Already started the second in the series.

This is a quirky contemporary cozy mystery with far too many coincidences that required a lot of suspension of disbelief.

The first in the booking agents series. This book involves a psychic and a travel agent. Death was a main point in this book but didn’t make you feel like everything was revolves around death/dying. Leda and her friends were great. Grady was a type A no nonsense guy and when Leda and Grady come together they are the perfect pair.

A witty mystery with twists. I think this book is also earmarked as a thriller but it’s much more mystery than thrilling. I really enjoyed the wittiness and characters in the book. It’s too often that in musters the main character is very stoic and serious this was a good mix.

Grave Reservations is a mysterious read that I couldn't help but flip the pages through. I definitely recommend this novel by Cherie Priest to those who want a quick paced read!

I really enjoyed this book and will purchase it for my teen grandchildren to read. I loved the clairvoyant connection and how she developed her skill and confidence at the same time as helping others.

If Ghost Whisperer met Veronica Mars, this is the book that would come out of it. It is more serious than a cozy, but just a notch below being a full-blown thriller, and trust me when I say that is the exact balance we all need in our lives.

This was a very interesting book with intriguing characters. I didn’t know what I was getting into, but enjoyed the book thoroughly. It’s the first time I read this author, but I am willing to read them again because I found the plot engaging in the characters. interesting.

3.5
Psychic travel agent teams up with a detective to solve her fiancé’s murder! I enjoyed Leda and Niki’s best friendship, and I thought detective Grady was a good character. Can’t say I understand the draw of “klairvoyant karaoke” though. I felt like the momentum dragged a bit in the third act. I’ve previously read and enjoyed Cherie Priest’s horror novels and this one just lacked a certain “oomph” for me. I liked it but not sure I’ll pick up the next book in the series. Fans of cozies will like this!
Thank you to NetGalley and Atria Books for the early copy in exchange for my honest review.

3.75 ⭐️ rounded up! What a fun read — this would be great for fans of Finlay Donovan, and anyone who remembers and loved Psych (tv show on USA)!
Leda is a fun, loveable character, and I actually enjoyed the reveal and tie up at the end, but despite that grand reveal, I felt like a lot of the characters in this book were passing around just a few brain cells. Not the smartest bunch, and definitely not cops by the book! Still, this book is enjoyable as a comedy, and I was hooked pretty early on!

Seattle murder mystery is the epitome of my type of book. Having lived in Seattle, this setting had me completely immersed. Add to it a psychic who may or may not always be able to tap into her abilities, I was sold. This book was fantastic, and I cannot wait to read more!

Thank you for this arc copy of Grave Resrvations. It wasn't; my type of book but others may like it. I did enjoy the cover picture though.
