A great psychological thriller that keeps you thinking all the way through and long after you put it down. I think the best thing about Slated is that it is all too real in the way that it could one day happen in this world. Slated follows Kyla, whose memory has been wiped which made a very interesting perspective because she doesn't know how to do so many things. Not a book of blood and gore (though I suspect the sequels may head in that direction a bit more), this is a psychological thriller. People go missing and we have to imagine what happens to them. And, honestly, imagined dangers can be scarier than the ones that are spelled out. Kyla lives in a world of imminent danger and suspicion rather than running from monsters and you'll be hoping for a sequel. Hint hint.
