I totally adored this book. It takes you on a journey, where the main characters decide to make business out of their passion, not just to do boring everyday jobs. Both Lucy and Jack are adorable and totally deserve to find love. The story is mixed up with delicious spices, fruits, pizza and cocktails with walks on the beach and drama dog Daisy.
I also loved the added book club inside this book... right after my heart.
If you look for something light hearted and easy to read, this is your perfect summer book, that takes you around Cornwall seaside and makes you hungry and thirsty not just for travelling ;)
Like the perfect pizza and cocktail you know when you have found your favourite and it made my heart sing the whole way through this story with Lucy and Jack. I wanted to dive right into the book, queue for the pizza and watch the cocktail being made and curl up in Lucy’s delightful cottage.
A book that will leave you simply smiling and with your heart full of joy – the best tonic to any cocktail!
A very enjoyable read with likeable characters and settings. If you have a book by Caroline Roberts in your hands you know you are going to enjoy reading it. Would like to give this far more than 5 stars but that is all we can give.. I highly recommend this novel.
Thanks to Netgalley and publisher for this eARC
It is only in recent years that I have discovered Caroline Roberts and was thrilled to be able to read the latest from her. The cover itself is a delight and a great draw and just absolutely cheers your soul as does the story within.
Lucy lives in a cottage just near the sea with Daisy the Dachshund her faithful companion since she realises that her fiancé was never going to propose, well not to her anyway. Changing her life completely she finds herself starting a new adventure and venture with the Horse Box she has converted to a mobile Pizza van.
Jack has been driving his red Cocktail Campervan to local events, weddings, parties in Northumberland for the last couple of years. Whilst it is not what his parents thought he would end up doing, he has had made a success of it and he is kept busy. However Jack seems to be using all his energy into this venture and not giving himself any time for life and love.
Lucy and Jack’s paths cross at many events and the book is wonderfully divided into different events that we are also invited along to share the fun, the laughter, the wonderfully cocktails created and the delicious pizzas which simply make your mouth water.
Thanks to Daisy, Lucy does make rather an impact on Jack’s campervan and when they find themselves drawn together, despite some prior warnings and previous hurts it seems that the happy ending is clear for all to see. Of course true love does not always run smoothly and of course you need to be sure and both Lucy and Jack test this to the max.

I was instantly attracted to this book when I saw the intriguing cover and realised it was a new release from Caroline Roberts, an author whose books I have enjoyed previously. The cover is indeed cleverly drawn, and tells a lot about what is going on in the pages within. I sat down to read this book and was instantly drawn into the lives of the main characters; for me, it was finished all too soon.
The story revolves around Jack and Lucy, both of whom have set up their own catering businesses. Jack is serving delicious cocktails and other drinks from his converted red VW campervan, while Lucy, with her Italian roots, is serving equally delicious pizzas from her converted horse box. The businesses are based in the Northumberland coast, where Jack and Lucy take their respective vehicles to a range of events, from private birthday celebrations to festivals. They meet at one such event and continue to bump into each other as the summer of celebrations progresses. After a somewhat fiery start to their relationship, friendship grows, but they are determined not to get emotionally involved. Can romance find a way in anyway?
I thought this was a really entertaining story, filled with fun characters and situations. I loved the idea of the two food vans and my mouth was watering with the descriptions of the cocktails and pizzas. The book was cleverly written, each chapter introduced with an invitation to a particular event where the food vans are present. These events are in various lovely locations in the Northumberland coastal area. Both Jack and Lucy have pasts that are holding them back from starting a new relationship - a situation that has the reader feeling desperate for them to find a way forward. Just when you think that there may be a chance for romance, something always seems to get in the way. I must, of course, mention another important character in the story. This is an adorable little dachshund by the name of Daisy who travels with Lucy and gets up to some great antics. The book ends with recipes for some interesting sounding cocktails, cakes and pizza, which I shall be trying out. I can definitely recommend this easy to read book for a slice of escapism this summer.
A cozy heartwarming romance that is a great summer read. It has everything I wanted in a romance love, friendship, laughter, and exciting adventures. One the best summer reads I've read this summer.
Thanks to netgalley for the chance to read this book.
Lucy has a mobile pizza van business and travels with her dog Daisy around the Northumberland coast attending local village celebrations. Jack is the owner of the cocktail camper van who Lucy meets at one of these celebrations. They try to keep their relationship strictly business to avoid making the same mistakes as the last. But, can they continue to keep to strictly business or will romance win and will their romance blossom whilst attending the different events.
I do love all of Caroline’s books so was super excited for this new one. I adored this from start to finish, devouring it all in one day.
As always, the characters are relatable, and I found myself rooting for them from the start. The story is told through Jack and Lucy’s points of view, which I like as we get to see what each are thinking/feeling. Jack is charming for sure, running the cocktail campervan; he’s got a bit of experience now and is successful at events. Lucy has newly converted a horse box into a pizzeria and is keen to make it a success. Between the pair of them I was constantly hungry and ready for a cocktail or two!
The relationship between Lucy and Jack is a difficult one at times; plenty of ups and downs, misunderstandings and sometimes sheer stubbornness that leads to problems. I enjoyed seeing how the relationship between the two develops over the course of the book.
With lots of celebrations and events, it was fun and enjoyable – a clear pick me up after recent times, I could imagine having fun at all of them. I loved the romance, the delicious descriptions of food and drink and the cast of characters.
I’d love to hear more from these characters in future – hopefully with highly successful businesses and even yummier sounding goodies!
Another brilliant book by this fantastic author, highly recommended for a light, lovely summer read.
Set in Northumberland, Lucy a mobile pizza maker and James a cocktail maker cross paths. Learning from mistakes in the past they keep things strictly on a business level. As summer progresses in this beautiful setting with Daisy the dog stealing our hearts, things develop. I liked the fact that the booked covered events and built the relationship around them. Thoroughly enjoyable.
I love Caroline Robert’s stories so much, I know if I pick one up I am guaranteed happiness, that I will grin from ear to ear, yes there will be emotion, maybe some heartbreak and anxiety along the way, but I know I am guaranteed the most perfect escapism you can get. The Seaside Cocktail Campervan is no exception to this, amazing descriptions of Northumberland and the North East, cute relatable characters, this Agustin the perfect holiday read, regardless which holiday it is or where you are. Thoroughly recommended for happiness

I adored this book, it was so much fun to read. Caroline roberts is an author I just can't pass by anymore. Perfect summery escapism!
I picked this book solely on the cover. I was delighted to discover it was set on the North East Coast and Northumberland which is where I’m from. It was great seeing a ton-Com set here!
I really enjoyed the story, the characters and the journey of the book.
I adored The Seaside Cocktail Campervan. Warm and relatable characters, beautiful accounts of scenery along the North East coast, mouth watering descriptions of gourmet pizzas and cocktails, not forgetting a cute dachshund make this a most enjoyable book. It’s a take if love, laughter and friendship that will stay with you long after you’ve turned the last page. A heartwarming read that is worthy of five stars. Thank you to NetGalley, Harper Collins UK, One More Chapter and the author for the chance to review.
In a time that is nearly impossible to travel, this book was the perfect getaway. Set in Northumberland, Lucy just started her business All Fired Up, a traveling pizza stand where she makes her papa's recipes. Her family thinks she's crazy, but she needs a break after her fiance left her and she was forced to move. Now traveling to fairs, weddings, birthdays, and village market days feels like a fresh start. At her first event, she notices the bright red cocktail campervan and the typical flirty charming barman. Just out of a bad relationship, she gives this player, Jack, the cold shoulder at first. But the more events they work together, the more she realizes he's a more shy and reserved man than the barman persona he shows in public. And she really likes that man! Add in a quirky dachshund, plenty of yummy drinks, and of course pizza, and it's a lighthearted fun read. It really makes me want to drop everything and travel around to events too.

The Seaside Cocktail Campervan - Caroline Roberts
I received an advance review copy for free thanks to NetGalley and Harper Collins UK and I am leaving this review voluntarily
When Lucy isn’t in her cosy cottage by the sea, she’s winding through the Northumberland coast with her loveable Dachsund Daisy, cooking up a storm at the local village celebrations. Inspired by her Italian Poppa, Lucy’s chasing a new dream with her pizza van business. And at one particular party she meets Jack, the brooding but gorgeous owner of the Cocktail Campervan.
Wary of repeating mistakes of the past, Lucy and Jack keep it strictly business. But as the summer drifts by in a swirl of garden parties, fun and fizz, laughs and celebrations, and as the cocktail campervan creates the community they so desperately need, romance starts to blossom – one stop at a time…
I thought that this was a nice summery read, with such a cheery setting and beautiful descriptions of the locations. It is hard not to feel a connection to Lucy and Jack - and even Daisy.
A nice relaxing read, perfect for a nice summer evening. Very easy to follow and enjoyable from beginning to end.
Rating 4/5
The Seaside Cocktail Campervan was a bit of a struggle for me. I wasn't sure that Jack was trustworthy and also able to sustain a relationship with Lucy beyond friendship. Jack was fantastic at helping Lucy and being a friend but his personal past kept them romantically apart. The concept of following food trucks though different venues and locations was fun. I liked reading about the different food and drinks they served and the different locations they visited.
The perfect mix of cocktails and pizzas with a group of great characters. This story is a brilliant summer read as we get to know more about Lucy and Jack, and of course Daisy and Ruby. A story of love, friendship and family, I loved the
sound of the book group at the cafe - such a wonderful group of people ready to share their love of reading and support one another.
With each chapter an event in the busy lives of Lucy and Jack, the book seemed to finish far too fast.
Oh how I love these feel good rom co s with the colorful cute covers. I do t know the artist of these covers but I want to read every book I see in the style of cover. The Seaside Cocktail Campervan was just exactly what I hoped it would be. Thank you so much for letting me experience this fun and heartwarming read during my summer vacation.
This book is described as an “uplifting, Cody, romantic summer read” and it is EXACTLY that! Absolutely loved it. I have never read any of Caroline Roberts’ other books so this was a first for me and I will say that I am hooked. The cosy vibe was perfect and the descriptions of the coast, dunes, and environment were perfect for someone who has never been to England. It made me want to pack up, order some pizza and cocktails and drive along any coast! This book had romance, friendship, and fun throughout. I really enjoyed it and it was a quick and easy read.
Thank you NetGalley, Caroline Roberts and HarperCollins UK, One More Chapter for the ARC of The Seaside Cocktail Campervan. This is my personal review.
This was a fun read! Ruby and Jack sound like people I would want to be friends with. They both have a unique lifestyle and getting to know them was easy.
The sparks between the two are there but for both of them there are things in their past that keep them from taking that step to be together.
I hope to one day meet campervans that sell pizza from one and cocktails form the other.
This is an easy relaxing read I know you will enjoy from the beginning to the end.
