This is a book that every parent of tweens and teens needs to read, even those who think they're rockin' the whole parenting thing. It's not judgmental. It's not dry and difficult to read. It offers several real-world scenarios and meets parents where they are. It accepts that there are no perfect parents, kids, or situations, and that parenting is a state of flux. Then it provides options to practice during the calm times so you have them down pat when you need them... It also makes some commentary on the state of our teens' mental health today and how the world has changed....it's quite different from when we were younger!
