Follow the bread crumbs to the last page. A domestic thriller from a promising new author, filled with twist.
I really enjoyed this character-driven thriller, Greenwich Park by Katherine Faulkner. This compelling London-based story focuses on Helen and her marriage, pregnancy, siblings, and friendship with fellow soon-to-be mom Rachel. With lots of complex characters, this intriguing narrative is told from three POVs, gullible Helen, her perfect sister-in-law Serena, and her brother's journalist girlfriend, Katie. Lots of secrets and deception, tension, twists and turns, and an unexpected, really satisfying ending. A well-written, riveting debut; I look forward to reading more from impressive newcomer Katherine Faulkner.
Thank you to NetGalley for providing a digital ARC of Greenwich Park in exchange for an honest review.
This was a fast-paced, page-turner - a perfect beach read! I was intrigued from the very beginning. I definitely had the sense of foreboding and there were lots of twists and turns throughout. Most of the chapters were short, which made it hard to put down. I also enjoyed that it was told from three different points of view, which really helped to get inside the minds of each of the characters. My only criticism is that the ending dragged out a bit, otherwise I loved the writing style and most of the characters. I didn't realize until I finished that this was a debut novel for Katherine Faulkner - well done! I can't wait to read her next one!
Very well written mystery/thriller. Enjoyed the setting and the characters and the twisty plot. A fantastic debut!

Ooooh, now this is what a thriller should be! I absolutely devoured this dark, twisty piece of suspense glory.
Helen is living the life. Fancy house, with child, handsome successful husband. Then she meets Rachel during her prenatal class. Maybe the friendship she needed? Maybe not? I mean, she’s pregnant too. And Helen is bored being at home all the time. As Rachel’s behavior begins to make Helen uncomfortable more questions arise.
This book was intelligently written. I loved the atmosphere it created. I felt like I was there in each situation, like I knew the characters. I don’t know if I would call this a slow-burn thriller, but I do know that it comes to a point where it takes off and I couldn’t put it down. And it’s a debut?! I cannot wait to read more from Katherine Faulkner.
I would recommend this to thriller lovers of all! Thank you to Simon & Schuster for the chance to read this.
Helen has trouble making friends; at present she has two. Katie, her childhood friend, is involved in reporting on a rape trial and Serena, her brother’s wife, busy with her photography. When she meets Rachel in a pre-natal class, despite her flashy appearance and actions, she is happy to have someone to talk to. Helen works hard to stay focused and calm, having suffered four miscarriages. As time passes, however, Rachel’s involvement in her new friend’s life grows intense. It starts to wear on Helen, especially when her family members seem irritated and uncomfortable. What is Rachel’s hold over these people? Katherine Faulkner’s novel is filled with deceptions, anxious moments and an occasional heart-stopping surprise. It is a page-turner from beginning to end.
I could not put Greenwich Park down! It was an excellent debut book by Katherine Faulkner.
Greenwich Park is an excellent debut by author Katherine Faulkner! I absolutely could not put it down. Though it started a bit slow, I was so intrigued by the various relationships between Helen and her siblings (brothers Rory and Charlie), as well as her husband Daniel and Rory's wife Serena. They all seemed pretty closeknit at first, but then things start to get real. The author keeps you guessing about how everyone really feels about each other, and what exactly Helen's new friend Rachel is up to. This book is so worth the read!
I appreciated the time and detail put into all the perspectives and characters. This was more of a slow burn then I usually like in thrillers but somehow it worked!
What an incredible story! I love mysteries and thrillers but sometimes they start to feel all a bit the same. This one was unique and in a category all its own. I genuinely got connected to the characters and story of their lives. The mystery was an added bonus.
This was so well written. I’ve seen a lot of people calling this a “slow burn,” and I can see why, but I hesitate to call it that because I couldn’t put it down. It hooked me from page one with that letter!
The only negative I have is that the ending felt more like a recap and I would rather have seen some of it play out since I was so invested. But this wasn’t a typical reveal and I appreciate that.

A delightfully twisty thriller for fans of unreliable characters and mysteries that brim with secrets and suspense!
Helen's life is going how she always dreamed it would. She's married to a wonderful man, has the Victorian house she always wanted, and a baby on the way. But when she meets the dynamic and erratic Rachel at her first pre-natal class, her life is turned upside down. At first, she finds Rachel fun, unpredictable, and a refreshing change from Helen's own cookie-cutter lifestyle. But as Rachel's behavior becomes increasingly concerning, Helen begins to re-think their friendship. Especially when Rachel threatens to expose a secret that could destroy Helen's perfect life.
What a smart and captivating debut! This book kept me guessing from beginning to end and turning the pages late into the night. I will certainly be looking forward to Katherine Faulkner's next novel!
Thank you to NetGalley for providing this book for me to read in exchange for my honest opinion. I heard a lot about this book and was excited to read it. It did start off slow for me but I was quickly pulled in to the story. This book is told from three different perspectives. The story line follows Helen, her husband and her two brothers. Helen is friends with one of her brothers wives and the twists and turns keep coming as Helen makes a new friend who is somehow connected to her family.
Set in London, Greenwich Park follows the lives of Helen, Daniel, Serena, Rory and Katie, a group of friends/siblings whose lives are intertwined in more ways than they even realize. Helen and Serena are pregnant at the same time, and when they sign up for prenatal classes, Serena backs out and leave Helen alone. But not for long, as Rachel, a loud mouth, smoking, drinking pregnant woman joins the class as well and immediately befriends Helen. As their friendship grows, everyone around Helen begins to realize they all have secrets. And they all come back to Rachel…they just don’t know it yet.
Thank you Gallery Books and NetGalley for an early copy of this book, I’m not sure I enjoyed this, I mostly endured it. I didn’t like any of the characters, not even the main one. It dragged quite a bit and was confusing with added plots. I will say the last chapter was excellent especially the last line of the book, I wish the whole novel was as intense.

An edge of your seat suspense.
Helen’s idyllic life—handsome architect husband, gorgeous Victorian house, and cherished baby on the way (after years of trying)—begins to change the day she attends her first prenatal class and meets Rachel, an unpredictable single mother-to-be. Rachel doesn’t seem very maternal: she smokes, drinks, and professes little interest in parenthood. Still, Helen is drawn to her. Maybe Rachel just needs a friend. And to be honest, Helen’s a bit lonely herself. At least Rachel is fun to be with. She makes Helen laugh, invites her confidences, and distracts her from her fears. But her increasingly erratic behavior is unsettling. And Helen’s not the only one who’s noticed. Her friends and family begin to suspect that her strange new friend may be linked to their shared history in unexpected ways. When Rachel threatens to expose a past crime that could destroy all of their lives.
Narration was the main highlight of the novel.
Thanks to NetGalley and Gallery Books for giving me an advanced copy.
This book took me a bit to get into, but once I did I couldn't stop reading. The story is about three siblings, the middle sister is pregnant and meets a new friend at her local maternity classes. Everyone seems off, the new friend, the siblings, their spouses. But it's not an obvious "off". Just when I thought I'd have it all figured out, I'd read the next chapter and second guess everything. This was a twisty one that kept me guessing until the end.
This was a gripping thriller that had me glued to the pages. As a reader of a lot of the "domestic thriller" genre, it isn't often that I rate one as 5 stars. Faulkner kept it interesting throughout the entire novel, and the character development makes you truly care for each person involved. This started off as a "predictable" thriller, and I thought to myself, "I think x, y, and z will happen but that would be too obvious", and it left me trying to guess the twists and turns. Let me tell you, this was a better ending than I could have dreamed of and I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys thrillers!
Loved this twisty turny story. Lovers of a good mystery/thriller will not be able to put this down. Great characters and a great story!
Review to come.

I enjoyed this book A lot it had me guessing back and forth a lot of the time before I truly figure it out what was going on. I read it in two days and I would definitely recommend it. Was a great Thriller
It took me about 15% to get into the story and once in, I could 't wait to get out. It is never good when you do not like the main characters and honestly, there was only one likeable character in the whole book (Katie) and she was 't introduced u til well in. While the basic premise was interesting, there was too much side story and not enough real character development. Some secrets were figured out right away and Helen, the main narrator, was no one to root for. I don't think even the author liked her. This will not go down as one of my favorites.
