This was an interesting take on Behaviour and how to help it. I took a course on cognitive behavioural therapy to help with my depression and sadly it did not help, this book did give more information on the subject but its not something that works for me.

I've heard so many promising things about CBT and this book didn't disappoint. Granted it takes daily effort to see an ultimate change but it is worth it. This book and the guidance it provided has helped me with my insomnia as well as anxiety. I would recommend this book to anyone who is curious about CBT but afraid the instructions will either go over their head or that a licensed professional is required. Invest in yourself and the first step can definitely be with this book.

Have finally decided I am not going to finish this book.
I was excited about the topic, and want to learn more, but this was not the book for me. It is very dry, and does not explain the HOW. It just gives examples. Might be good for some people, but not the right fit for me.

This book is one that I could recommend as self-help.
It explains clearly what Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is and how to apply it to our everyday life.
How to manage our anxiety, compulsion and addiction. This information is precious and can help us or a person we love.

I requested this book and the book on mindfulness in hopes to continue my journey of self-healing. There are so many helpful chapters to lead you through the process. You’ll learn how to monitor or sift through your thoughts to let go of what does not serve you and so much more. This is a book I will be utilizing quite a bit in the months to come.

Thanks so much to DK Publishing and NetGalley for a copy of this book in return for an honest review!
