This a very heart-wrenching yet also super heartwarming story about a squirrel and her adjusting to life as being a new big sister.
I think Squirrel’s struggles will be something that a lot of parents and children will be able to relate to and it seems like the perfect story to read to a child who is hesitant about being a new older sibling. This book is a great way to have that child open up about their fears and nervousness surrounding the topic!
I think this story and art itself was adorable and has a wonderful message behind it!

This was a very sweet and helpful book! My daughter will be a big sister in June and I can't wait to read this to her!

I like that this book shows true emotions. As the big sister in the family, I felt the same way when I had my little sister. I like that this book shows it’s okay to be jealous, it’s natural when your world changes and a new person is added. But that doesn’t mean you friends and family don’t love you. As when she went in and everyone said they loved her. I loved the ending with the mom holding big sister squirrel and telling her how proud she was of her.

A great picture of what it is like to be the older sibling and feeling left out when a new sibling comes along. I loved how sweet all the characters are and how Squirrel comes to love and appreciate the new baby.

Very cute and fun story. Dealing with new child in a family might be a struggle for the others siblings and this is a good way to talk about it and made the children understand. I recommend it!

A strong purpose is behind this book – reassuring a young reader that just because a new arrival has added to the family doesn't mean they're not as loved as they were before. An odd assortment of animals climb the tree to the squirrels' home (seriously, a fox and a rabbit and more, all up in the branches of the oak?!) just to see the baby, leaving our heroine with a lot of doubt. Luckily the happy ending, the bright artwork and the overall warm-heartedness of it all make those fears go away. I could imagine this with fewer words for the young reader, but there is little wrong with those I saw. Four stars at least.

A very sweet book for children who are about to get siblings. Squirrel is worried that everyone will like the new baby and will forget about her, which is a fear of kids everywhere before their new siblings are born. This may help quell some fears of children when they read about Squirrel. The illustrations are cute too!
