Pulse is a Dystopian Sci Fi/Horror novel based in the near future where everyone is reliant on technology. Pulse has taken over all tech giants and basically has a monopoly on what people do, eat, drink, wear and like in general. Pulse is having the music festival to beat all music festivals when a mysterious outbreak is causing people to become violent mutants that don't care for any of these things. All they want to do is feed. No one knows how the outbreak began or why there a select few of the protagonists not affected. This novel keeps you on the edge of your seat and the characters are believable in a well built world. Can't wait for the follow up.
Oh wow. And I mean WOW!
This book it totally not what you think it is going to be, and I love that. There was elements of almost everything in this: horror, fantasy, scifi, thirller, this book really has something for everyone. The writing is spot on, I love the format the book takes too. I can not wait for the sequel coming out!
I stayed up all night reading this, I couldn't put it down.
This was a thrilling ride. I honestly can say it felt like I took some psychedelics or something while reading this because its full of so many weird things. The music festival setting was spot on, and felt totally real. The monsters were scary and omg, were they STRANGE.
If you like things that go bump in the night mixed with a very strange setting, pick this up.
This book has SO MUCH POTENTIAL. I have a feeling that this could be a show, movie, a hugely successful series and I am so excited to see where this story will go. It is terrifying how likely this all is to happening and how much I could see the world we are currently living in leading right to this scenario. I am really looking forward to book 2 or any other related work.
