"Isn't It Bromantic?" is the fourth book in the "Bromance Bookclub" series by Lyssa Kay Adams and I think is my favorite I've read so far. I've enjoyed all these books. They are light and fun but touch on serious topics as well. It would be great to see men read these books. The newest novel is about "the Russian" and I'm not sure what set this one apart for me, but I think it was his character. Big, tough guy, professional hockey player outside and loveable, tenderhearted, romantic inside. Anyway, it did it for me, so if you liked the other books, I'd encourage you to continue the series with this book. If you haven't, it can be read as a standalone although I'd recommend reading the first book for some of the context (though no required).

I am obsessed with The Bromance Book Club series. I just read the first 3 last month and they are all 4 some of my favorite books. The banter among the guys is just the best! It’s what makes me laugh in every one of these stories.

🏒 I was really curious how Vlad’s story would turn out being that he’s been a goofball with digestive issues in the three previous books. Thankfully, his diet situation was figured out and that wasn’t a part of his romance. As readers of the series, we’ve known he’s a softy who cares about his friends and loves a grand gesture. Seeing him get his HEA after some ups and downs was wonderful. I enjoyed the parallel between Vlad’s book and his actual life. I liked that about the first book, too. I really liked how the guys were helping him and basically analyzing romance novel first kisses. I think I highlighted that whole page in my Kindle. 😂 I liked the new side characters. They weren’t ultra-important to the plot but they added humor and it was nice to have some fresh faces. There was a little suspense too, thanks to Elena. Oh, and his nickname for her…it made me smile every time he said it. This book was worth staying up way past my bedtime to finish.

The Russian has been a complete scene stealer since his first mention in the Bromance series, so obviously I was over the moon when Adams announced that literature’s softest and most gentle giant was getting his own story.

The story is SO worthy of our beloved Russian. Trust me. It’s everything you could ask for and more. It’s perfect and keep those tissues handy.

And I may feel a bit greedy in asking this... but can we get Colton next? Pretty please?

This series is going strong! It was wonderful to be back with the bromance book club and like many readers, I wanted the Russian’s story. I’m so glad we got it and I appreciated the new characters as well as our old friends. This love story was well done and I was glad to get to know Elena.

There was a lot that bothered me about this book. Sad to say this book fell flat for me. I was bored most of the time and was waiting for things to pick up at a faster rate than they were presented. I didn’t really believe the chemistry between Vlad and Elena, and I was more excited about where they started off at the beginning of the book to where it actually went with. Jokes were a hit and miss with this story too, a bit would go on for too long until things got back on track and I just wanted to progress at those points.
This could be an off day and what normally wouldn’t bother me did unfortunately with this read.

“Our society has allowed men to get away with a lack of emotional intelligence by equating the expression of a full range of human emotion with femininity.”

When I tell you I literally did a happy dance when I got approved for this one on NetGalley, mean it! I literally couldn’t wait until next week to read it.

The bros are back and this time they’re helping The Russian! He’s provided so much comedic relief (and hugs) throughout the series and it’s finally his time to shine! I loved getting to know him more and learning his backstory with Elena, and instead of reading a book for the Bromance Book Club this time around, Vlad is writing one! As with the first three, this one will make your heart happy and make you laugh, but still manages to bring awareness to current real world issues.

This one gets 4.5 stars for me - I loved it!! I only knocked a half star off because I didn’t love it *as much* as the rest but it was still amazing! If you loved the first 3, you’ll love this one! I read somewhere recently that this is going to be a 6 book series so I will be not so patiently waiting for the next one!

This was my favorite book of the series! This is the long-awaited Russian's story! Vlad is a hockey player for a team in Nashville, who came over from Russia with his wife, who he married when he was 20. At the beginning of the book, we learn that they are planning on getting a divorce but we don't know much more about the relationship.

This book had the humor from the previous books but also had more depth. There is a mystery/action towards the end of the book that provided a nice turn of events. I enjoyed learning more about their complex relationship and it still the amazing Bromance friendships that we have come to love from the previous books. Tropes: childhood friends, marriage of connivence.

If you haven't read the Bromance Book Club series, this could be a stand alone. There are a lot of characters mentioned from previous books so it would be helpful to read the previous ones to enjoy it more but not necessary.

This is a marriage of convenience, friends to lovers, forced proximity, missed communication-yes, all of the things we know and love, packed into this story.
I’m going to be completely honest here. When I read the previous Bromance books, I loved Vlad, but his character was not one I was drawn to. I felt like the author used his gastrointestinal issues as a punchline for those books. With this book, Vlad has discovered he has a gluten allergy and while those jokes are still made, they’re less often and his medical condition is discussed often.
It’s impossible to not fall for the giant softy that is Vlad. He’s a man that is a romantic and wears his heart on his sleeve. Sometimes I just wanted to shake Elena, I had a hard time enjoying her character because she just seemed so dense.
This is probably my favorite Bromance book that really encompasses the bromance this group of friends has. The relationship written about who Vlad is to the bromance book club is so dang sweet. The fact that we are going to get to see these guys play out on the big screen has me so excited!
Ultimately, I did really enjoy this story. I liked it more than Noah’s, but I have to say, the subplot within the story that Adams does, seems to be getting more and more dramatic. I think I disliked the subplot of this one the most out of the four but Vlad’s character is written so well, you can’t help but love The Russian and cheer for his HEA.

Finally, the Russian's story! If you've been reading this series, you've probably been waiting for this & let me tell you it does not disappoint. It has it all, humor, friendship (new and old), and a love story between childhood friends. At first I wasn't sure I was going to like Elena because of how she treated Vlad when he reached out to her about making their marriage more than a marriage of convenience, but as the story progressed and you realized her drive to find out what happened to her father I was able to put that aside. With help from the bromance book club, Vlad finds his happily ever after. I've enjoyed all the books in this series, but this is now my favorite.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Ahhhhhhhhh! The boys are back! Gosh, I have devoured every book in the series and the Russian definitely became a beloved character, the readers loved him so much he got his own book! There is not enough I can say about how much I freaking loved this book. It definitely became my favorite one in the series and I have been obsessed with all of them! The story is sweet and yet profound and the story inside the story was such a treat. I do not know what I will do when this series comes to an end.

I loved everything about this funny romance novel!

Vlad, The Russian, is a sympathetic and charming hero. His tender feelings, love of animals, and dedication to his wife Elena make him the perfect hero. He is even writing his own romance novel! Elena is strong and smart and the perfect match for hockey-star Vlad.

The Bros are such a fun group of supportive friends that know how to encourage each other. Some of the funniest lines in the book happen when the Bros are talking to each other.

The conflict in the story, because this is a romance book there is always a conflict, is believable. The conflict added to the excitement of the ending and Vlad and Elena’s eventual HEA.

I read the first book in this series a while ago and now I am wondering why I didn’t read the rest of them. I am going to remedy that now!

In the fourth book of the Bromance Book Club series, we finally get The Russian's story (which I heard only came into existence because of fans' requests--so, go us!). I think this book may be my favorite of the series so far. Featuring a character who originally seemed to be the butt of all jokes, we get a peak behind the curtain at the sensitive soul that is Vlad.

It turns out Vlad has a number of new developments in this book: (1) he's been diagnosed with a gluten allergy, so he's finally sorted out his gastrointestinal issues, (2) he's secretly writing a historical romance novel, and (3) ...he's in a marriage of convenience. His mysterious and previously unseen wife, Elena, finally makes an appearance. Vlad is determined to turn their fake marriage into a real one, but Elena plans to return back to Russia. Of course, with the Bromance Book Club at his side, Vlad is ready to take on the challenge!

This book was touching yet funny, and somehow managed to make the typically unbelievable marriage of convenience trope actually seem realistic. I hope Adams continues in this excellent trajectory for Colton's book (who I assume we get next...?). I also love some of the new side characters, like Vlad's friends and the cheese monger. Bring me more cheese man!

The Russian and Elena were childhood friends who married so that Elena could immigrate to the United States after her father disappeared. Vlad wants a read marriage, so he joined The Bromance Book Club to read manuals to learn how to make his wife love him. Will Vlad run for his own grand gesture and get his happily ever after?

Full disclosure: While I always end of loving The Bromance Book Club books, I’m always slightly disappointed when I find out who the main male character is - I always seem to want to read about a different “bro.” This was no different - I was pulling for a book about Colton and got Vlad instead.

However, I’m glad I didn’t get what I wanted because I ADORED this book about Vlad and his estranged wife Elena. It was so unexpected but so so so enjoyable. Also, the book within the book has a fun twist this time!

Loved that the Russian got his own story!! This one was pretty good, and I loved seeing the bookclub guys and the wives in this one! Also loved the neighbor ladies! I'm not huge into friends to lovers, but still enjoyed this one. It had a fun background story for Elena and Vlad.

I think my favorite scenes were the bathtub scenes and those with The Cheese Man. Definitely had some laugh out loud moments.

I really hope Colton gets the next book! I just love these characters so much and want more!!

Thank you so much Berkley Publishing and Netgalley for my early copy!!

Vlad has been one of my favorite side characters in all of the Bromance Book Club books. He is the character that seems the most invested in making sure that everyone gets their happily ever after. In the beginning I thought it was because he had already found his. In all actuality it is because his marriage is a sham and he wants the real deal.

I read this books so fast. It was hard to put down because it has a few of my favorite tropes. The first being the marriage of convenience and the second is friends to lovers. I was completely in from page one and loved the addition of the Loner’s club to the cast.
“See, that’s your problem right there,” Claud said, pointing at Andrea. “You’re still waiting on your knight in shining armor who will make you all giddy and sparkly for the rest of your life. What you should be looking for is someone you’re still willing to have sex with after they make you look at pictures of their colonoscopy.”M

Elena was so vulnerable and deserving of someone to make her feel special. Vlad has a tender heart and while he is great at putting it out there for those he calls friends, he is not great at that when it is his heart that could be broken and the man can totally do stubborn better than most. Good thing the Bros are there to point out when he is messing up completely.
Del turned around and returned to the side of the bed. “I’m not leaving until I hear this. Not because I think it’s worth hearing, but because I want to file it away the next time we think we’ve met the dumbest fucker on the planet, and I can say, oh, no, remember the fucking Russian?”

After a hockey injury puts him out for the rest of the season his estranged wife comes to help take care of him. It is awkward for everyone, especially Elena who has never really been a part of Vlad’s American life and thinks that all his friends must despise her. She didn’t expect the Bromance Book Club to be so warm and welcoming and she really didn’t expect them to talk about her husband’s cute butt so much. But they are going to be there to help Vlad both write the romance novel he has been stuck on for years and fix the almost marriage he never got.

Vlad is really the best and I enjoyed almost everything in this book. I totally devoured everything. Sure if he and Elena had really talked in the beginning I think most of the misunderstandings could have been avoided. But, then we wouldn’t have the deliciousness that is the two of them finding their way back to one another after six years of basically living apart.

This is my favorite of all the Bromance Books. I was so happy to go on the journey with Vlad and Elena as they found their way back to each other.

Finally! The Russian gets his own book, and it might be my favorite Bromance Book Club book to date.

I feel like I say that every time author Lyssa Kay Adams releases a new book in this fantastic series, but each new chapter continues to dazzle and delight me -- and I absolutely adored Vlad and Elena's childhood friendship turned modern marriage of convenience saga. There is SO MUCH to dive into within these pages -- their history, the circumstances of their marriage, their pining, Vlad's romance novel writing endeavors, and an underground illegal cheese ring. (Really.) Isn't It Bromantic? made me laugh so much, but it also made me swoon and sigh over Vlad's sweet tender heart.

I just adore these guys so much, and I truly hope there will be many more adventures to come for these woke, romance-reading dudes.

Another great entry into the Bromance Book Club series! I admit that when "The Russian" was introduced in the other books in this series, I didn't really take him seriously, but I'm so glad he got his own story!

Elena Konnikova is the daughter of a Russian journalist who mysteriously disappeared, and Vlad, aka the Russian, is her childhood best friend. They got married to be able to come to America for more opportunities, and their marriage of convenience began. Vlad always wanted the marriage to be real, and there's a lot of miscommunication here that causes hurt feelings, on both sides. Vlad joined the Bromance Book Club to learn how to make his wife love him, but all he’s learned is that he deserves more. He’s ready to create his own sweeping romance—both on and off the page.

Seeing Vlad be a big old softie was great. Men should be allowed to show a sensitive side and cry when they want to, and Vlad was never ashamed to be that way. I also liked the Vlad-is-writing-a-book storyline. I was surprised at his choice of setting and topic, but his book sounds interesting!

I've been a fan of Lyssa's ever since reading the Bromance Book Club and I very much hoped this newest story, about Ivan, the Russian, would live up to the previous books of the series.

She absolutely knocked it out of the park. Giving us the much wanted backstory of Ivan and his mysterious bride, whom none of his friends had ever met.

In this childhood sweethearts of a story, it pulls on your heartstrings as serious topics of discussion are brought.

As always, Lyssa delivers amazingly real dialogue between the friends and a beautifully crafted romance that also features a blackmarket cheese shop owner. I hope he's also in your stories to write, Lyssa!

There were parts of this book I laughed so hard I cried and cried because of the characters' finding their way to each other for their happily ever afters.

Truly a fun read.

Another successful novel from Less Kay Adams Bromance Series! When I found out that the fan-favorite character, "The Russian," was getting his own book, I jumped for joy. Vlad deserved this. We all deserved this! Just like with the previous three books, I fell completely in love with this story. I could read about these Nashville guys forever. While this one wasn't my favorite book of the series, Adams hit the mark yet again! Isn't It Bromantic gets a solid 3.5 stars from me. Thank you Netgalley for my advanced reader copy in exchange for my honest review.

While I'm a fan of this series, I was a little nervous to read the Russian's book. Honestly, most of what I know about him from the previous books is that he has some uncomfortable reactions to dairy and is emotional. But my unease going in quickly dissipated with the explanation for Vlad Konnikov's bathroom issues, making it a non-issue in this story. Phew!

Anywho, this book centers on Vlad and his marriage to Elena Konnikova, a marriage that was anything but romantic. However, things change for the couple when Vlad is injured, and Elena begins to take care of them. For the first time, it seems, the two are forced to confront their discomfort around one another, and how they both wish there was something more between them. I loved the sweet innocence they both had and how the book club, along with some nosy neighbors known as the Loners, helped bring them back together.

Although this book had some lighter moments involving the Loners and the mysterious "Cheese Man", the pace of the story seemed a little slower than the other books and wasn't as compelling. The story does pick up in the second half of the book, so if you have similar thoughts as I did about the first half of the book, be patient.

Given how much Colton Wheeler, one of the book club men, is featured in this book, I sure hope his story is next, with perhaps, an older woman . . . (one can dream).
