As cheese lover, you can imagine my excitement that the next installment of the Bromance series, Isn’t It Bromantic?, was all about Vlad, aka The Russian. Like the prior books in the series, this one is devoted to a single member of the Bromance Book Club. Now it is Vlad’s turn, the gentle giant, emotional Russian hockey player with gastrointestinal issues and a mysterious wife. After Vlad gets injured in a game, his marital woes come to light and the guys have to do their book club thing to guide Vlad to win back his wife. After all of these books, I feel so connected with these guys and it felt like I was back with old friends. I absolutely love how they rally around each other and create such a supportive network. I love their quirks and their one-liners. I love that their characters have stayed true to themselves through all these books. I love the silliness that always makes me laugh. And this book had a secret cheese shop which is something that I need in my life ASAP. I am already guessing who the next book will be about. Colton?

Absolutely my favorite of the four in this series . I always loved the Russian and really enjoyed his story. I loved how the “manual” they were reading was the book Vlad was writing and how well it paralleled his feelings. Elena is wonderful and the excitement in her story is almost a book of it’s own.

Happy belated pub day to Isn't it Bromantic?! I have had this book on my Kindle for awhile, but I have been saving it for a reading slump. I started reading it last night after I put my girls to bed, and finished right before 2 AM. That's right- I stayed up and binge read this entire book in one sitting. I don't know how she does it, but I have seriously loved every book of the Bromance book series, and it seems like I love each one more than the last, and I have loved every book. In this one, we finally get Vlad's, aka The Russian, story, and I am so glad he finally got his own book. We get to see a side of him we haven't seen previously, and meet his wife, Elena, and catch up with the guys and their wives from the previous books. There were moments that I laughed out loud, and I wanted to keep reading because I was completely hooked and invested in Vlad and Elena's story. There were plenty of laugh out loud moments, but there were also plenty of vulnerable and emotional moments, and it was the perfect balance. Add some steam and you've got yourself a swoon-worthy romance that'll leave readers with all the feels. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5!! Thank you @netgalley and @berkleyromance for my copy!

IT’S AS GOOD AS I WANTED IT TO BE

Thank you Netgalley and Berkley for the eARC!

The Bromance Book Club series gets better with every book, and I don’t know how that’s possible, but it’s true.

So HAPPY PUB DAY to Isn’t it Bromantic?

This book is everything you expect from a Bromance Book Club book. It’s funny, it’s witty, it’s swoon worthy.

In this one we get the Russian’s (Vladimir) story, and honestly, it’s everything you could ever want from him. So Vladimir has had an elusive wife for the previous few books, and in this one we finally get to meet her (Elena).

The story is told in alternating perspectives, and I was rooting for them the whole time. This is definitely another book you’re going to want to read in the whole day.

Vlad and Elena are just such fantastic characters, and I loved their love story.

While you can read these as stand-alone, I definitely recommend reading the series and reading them in order. I think you’ll really get way more out of them if you do.

Lyssa Kay Adams knocked this one of out the park, and I can’t wait for her next book!

Thank you to Berkley and NetGalley for the review copy—all opinions are my own!

This was such a bighearted, fun, emotional next installment of the Bromance book world. I loved getting inside Vlad’s head and meeting Elena, the smart, sensitive, mysterious woman who’s owned his heart since we first met him.

As always, Lyssa Kay Adams weaves humor with heartfelt emotion, and this book was no exception. From the hilarious subplot of The Cheese Man and his “speak cheesy,” to this new evolution in the Bromance Book Club with their involvement in and conversations about Vlad’s romancenovel he’s writing, I really loved seeing this delightful cast of characters evolve. I loved getting a peek into Elena’s world and seeing some sociopolitical commentary on immigration, sex-trafficking, journalism, and dealing with the pain of our past so we can live fully into our future.

Also, as someone with Celiac Disease and related GI-complications, I appreciated the particular self-awareness brought to this story on that subject matter and the gentle recognition that using it as fodder for humor, while extremely common, can be painful for those who live daily with not only those health issues, but the related insecurities, complications, and embarrassments that culture reinforces.

Finally, the sweetness of these two childhood friends, their growth into the maturity necessary to be truly vulnerable and open about their hearts’ desires, the Pushkin poetry, the swoony slow-burn as they both pined for each other, was such a fresh new set of tropes and dynamics in this story. I fell in love with these two and won’t soon forget them!

If you’ve read any of the other Bromance books (you have right?) then you already know all about Vlad aka the Russian. He’s the goofy sidekick hockey player with a weak stomach and a heart of gold. Well, this time around we learn way more about the real guy behind it all. And don’t worry, the stomach issues have been solved.

In the 4th Bromance book, we have a marriage of convenience meets marriage in crisis. Vlad and Elena are childhood best friends, both from Russia, and their “marriage” leaves a lot to be desired. Luckily, Vlad is the gentle giant, romance writing man we didn’t know we needed and he’s ready to show Elena his true feelings. Plus, we have the whole club standing behind him.

This book is filled with delicious Russian food, a bit of mystery, wonderful side characters, and LOTS of cheese. I’m a little unsure about the group of women (the loners) that were introduced this time but I have to believe they’re set up for future books.

If you love the bromance guys, you obviously won’t want to skip this book. All of your favorites are back and ready to help the next lovesick member.

Isn’t It Bromantic is on shelves now so don’t wait! Thank you to @berkleypub and @netgalley for my eARC of this book.

The Russian, aka Vlad, has been a huge comic relief for this series and I was unsure how he’d fit as a main character but wow he may be my favorite. This book is a smattering of tropes: part bffs to lovers, part marriage of convenience, part forced proximity, and part second chance romance that just somehow REALLY makes this book amazing. Vlad is sweet, genuine, and really wear his heart on his sleeve despite being a brute hockey player. Elena was the perfect addition to his other half. She fit in so well with his circle of friends while also staying true to herself. This books is just chef’s kiss…. Perfection!

ISN’T IT BROMANTIC? is the fourth book in the BROMANCE BOOK CLUB series, and I certainly hope it’s not the last. The only one I haven’t read yet is the first book in the series, which I hope to rectify soon. This is Elena and Vlad’s story, and it is a quick read with so much packed into it.

Elena and Vlad have been best friends since growing up together in Russia. They’ve been married for six years but have lived apart for most of it since she goes to school in Chicago (to get her master’s degree in journalism) while he lives in Nashville. Vlad plays pro hockey and is part of the Bromance Book Club with a group of male friends.

The Bromance Book Club discusses romance novels so they can be better at romance and their relationships. When Vlad is hurt in a playoff game, his friends call Elena. She returns to Nashville to see if she can help him but always seems to have one foot out the door. Neither is good at communicating, and that gets them into trouble. Will they figure out what they want before it’s too late?

The rich friendships really make the story work. I loved how involved all his friends are, but ultimately it’s up to Elena and Vlad to figure out what they want—their marriage or to go their own ways. Elena had a troubled home life growing up in Russia, and a lot of that comes into play in the story. Her father was a journalist who ended up dead due to a story he was writing. She seems to want to pick up the thread investigating that same story, which could turn out badly for her as well. Meanwhile, Vlad is writing a romance novel that we’re given glimpses of with input from his friends. And it’s funny and heartwarming to see how his fictional story mirrors the one we’re reading!

ISN’T IT BROMANTIC? is a romance with strong relationships, whether it be friendships among the men or between Vlad and Elena. Sexy and fun, this is a story not to be missed. I hope that we meet up with the men of the Bromance Romance Club and their women again and again.

Isn’t It Bromantic is the fourth book in the Bromance Book Club series and one I’ve been looking forward to. We all know and love the Russian from the previous books and it’s finally time to get his story.

Vlad’s story was nothing like I expected it to be. It was a mix of marriage of convince, childhood friends to lovers, slow burn and a few other troupes that I don’t want to spoil. Vlad is the sweetest hero alive and I adored Elena as well. The guys were a hoot as always and I had so much fun reading this one! It might just be my favorite of the series so far…

I’ve heard this is the last of the series, but I seriously hope we get a Colton Wheeler book, because… come on! We need it!

“The boys are back in town….the boys are back in town”

Fellas, I freakin missed y’all so much. Bromance Bookclub is a favorite. Sincerely. I adore them. Book four….daaaang Lyssa, you brought it gurl.

With this installment of the Bromance Boys we finally, F.I.N.A.L.L.Y get our favorite Russians story. It did not disappoint. Vlad and Elena were lovely. Their story….chefs kiss. I mean. I’m nearly speechless. Don’t tell the other guys…but this one might be my most favorite love story in the delightful Nashville series.

Couple key points.

•In my opinion, you need to read these in order. Trust me…your experience will be better because of it.

•These are not your mama’s Romance novels. They can get a lil steamy.

•The books within the books (iykyk) can be just as amazing.

•Go on. Start at the beginning and enjoy this group. They are completely original and unapologetic. I swear. Such good, good guys ♥️.

I received a gifted galley of WHILE WE WERE DAISN’T IT BROMANTIC by Lyssa Kay Adams for an honest review. Thank you to Berkley Publishing Group and Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review!

ISN’T IT BROMANTIC is the fourth installment in the author’s Bromance Bookclub series, this time focusing in on Vlad, aka the Russian. Vlad married his childhood best friend Elena in order to escape her past in Russia where her father disappeared. While Vlad has played professional hockey in the U.S., Elena came with him to go to school. Now that she’s graduating, she is considering a return to Russia to follow in her father’s footsteps as a journalist. Unknown to her, this marriage of convenience has been one of love on Vlad’s side.

When Vlad is injured and Elena comes to take care of him and help him get back on his feet, it seems the perfect time for the men of the Bromance Book Club to get involved with helping Vlad win his wife’s heart. Vlad’s meddling neighbors get in on the action too. Add in Elena’s and Vlad’s histories in Russia, Elena’s Russian cooking and Vlad’s own attempt at writing romance and there’s a lot to keep him occupied in recovery.

This is the first Bromance book that I picked up and it worked fine as a standalone. I do think that it was helpful having read reading a lot of bookstagram reviews about the series when it came to knowing what the setup of the series was. I will say that bathroom humor is not my favorite, so I had some initial qualms when that is how the book opened, but putting that aside, it was a very fun read!

Vlad was a very loveable character to follow and Elena’s cooking had me wondering if there was a Russian restaurant in my area. The love of cheese did have me ordering some groceries just so I could have a few cheesy snacks in the house. I did really enjoy getting the male perspective in a romance for a change as well. I loved the friendship themes throughout the book as well!

This was a very fun read and will definitely be one to pick up for the romance fans! ISN’T IT BROMANTIC is out today!

Thoughts: Lyssa Kay Adams just keeps pumping out bestsellers with the Bromance Book Club series, and her latest is one more to add to the list. I thoroughly enjoyed the previous books in the series, so I was a bit worried to have my hopes up thinking that she could possibly keep this going. I was wrong. Adams has done it yet again, penning a funny, romantic, and sweet story about friends-to-lovers with a side of #friendshipgoals to go along with it. I adored Vlad -- he is a total sweetheart, a huge Russian teddy bear of a man -- and his personality and interactions with each character had me smiling with almost every page he was on. Elena has quite the character depth, as well, which is honestly kind of refreshing (some of my most recent reads were slacking a bit in this department). Not only will readers feel their hearts go out to her, but she also knows how to crack her wit with some hilarious one-liners, especially when it comes to some of Vlad's friends. I loved the chemistry between Vlad and Elena, and could feel the despair at what they each felt was unrequited love for one another. This was such a sweet story and I cannot wait for the next series installment!

This is the fourth book in the “Bromance Book Club" series and the heartwarming story of Vlad, the Russian professional hockey player, and how he wins back his childhood best friend through grand overtures and sweet words. A hilarious and hopelessly romantic second chance romance about taking chances and holding onto the one that truly matters!

Vlad marries his childhood best friend out of convenience, but he wants it to be the real deal, so when he hurts himself during a hockey game Elena shows up wanting to play nurse. She hopes to pay him back for marrying her. The only problem is that both of them don’t realize there is an attraction. Can Vlad and Elena finally open up and show their true feelings for each other?

I’m so glad Vlad got his own book. I think overall, Vlad is always providing great comedic relief in this series and he’s such a big, lovable teddy bear that you can’t help but fall in love with his character. I also adore how everything revolves around food, the added element of the mysterious “cheese man,” and the murder of Elena’s father. This an entertaining and laugh out loud adventure and I’m completely satisfied with Vlad’s happily ever after!

The Bromance Book Club series has worked its way into the must read category. I really enjoy getting the depth on a new couple in each book but getting to see all the guys in the club and sometimes their ladies. The humor is the real deal.

Vlad has been a favorite since the beginning because he is just funny and earnest and precious. He's finally found solutions to his problems with some medication and going gluten-free. Now he's decided with Elena's school completed, he wants to have a real marriage. Of course, she's decided to stop being a burden on him and go back to Russia and start her career.

The dynamic with the guys was a bit different this time, and Colton was on hand. A lot. (Is he next up?) Somehow, I felt there were a lot more guys and I didn't know some of them. Mack was the biggest supporter other than Colton. While they were there to put Vlad on the honest track, Vlad himself is the most caring and compassionate guy. He didn't need to be schooled on that aspect. He needed to be brave enough to face the truth and speak honestly.

Aaaaand that brings us to Malcolm's pet peeve in a romance novel again, if two adults would have an honest conversation much hurt and confusion could be avoided. It was going to be difficult because they had been apart so much, there was plenty of time to form misconceptions.

There is plenty of other action in the plot with Vlad's injury and recovery, a new group of female friends who support Vlad (the Loners), the Cheese Man, Vlad writing a romance novel, and Elena's working on the story which got her father murdered. I'll let you have the pleasure of discovering it all yourself. But let's be clear - I want Cheese Man!

Lyssa Kay Adams does it again! This yet another smart, funny, tugging-at-the-heart-strings instalment in the Bromance Book Club series!

Finally, Vlad “The Russian” gets his happy ever after. Just like the other books in this series, his story is a common romance novel trope made fresh again. He’s been married to childhood friend Elena for six years before she asks for a divorce. He’s heartbroken, even though they’re technically not even together, and they haven’t even been living in the same state for the duration of their marriage. How can this be? Because they’re in a marriage of convenience!

For the last three books, Vlad has been an integral member of the Bromance Book Club. He’s provided much-needed comedic moments, and he’s the heart of the group. He’s mentioned his wife only occasionally, and we already knew how madly in love with her he is. However, he’s neglected to mention to his best friends the circumstances surrounding his “marriage”. Vlad married Elena six years ago so she could have her green card to leave Russia and her tragic past behind. They’ve only ever kissed once, and it was during the wedding ceremony.

The book is told in dual POV, with scenes from both Vlad and Elena’s points of view. But we also get a third narrative interwoven throughout the novel. Vlad has been writing a historical romance set during WWII, and we get to see excerpts from this book. This is a throwback to the very first book in this series, where Gavin was reading a regency romance, and using the lessons he learned from it to woo his wife. Just like in the first book, Vlad’s romance novel mirrors his own relationship with his wife. I absolutely love that the author returned to this extra-meta-goodness, since I’d missed it in the second and third instalments in this series.

Isn’t It Bromantic is a beautiful second-chance-at-love romance, with a hint of suspense that nicely complements the historical war romance that Vlad is writing. Of course, this book wouldn’t be as incredible as it is without the bookclub bros. I love how they all come together to help Vlad, just as Vlad has helped them in the past with their own love lives.

This book has plenty of humour, and even Hazel the chicken makes a reappearance. There are also tons of heartfelt moments. The theme that men can be “manly” but still show a vulnerable and soft side is just as strong in this book.

Highly recommend this book to romance book lovers–regardless of their gender!

we've seen the Russian in every past Bromance book, but haven't learned much about him. I loved seeing him as the heart of the group. He is sensitive and compassionate, giving support to his friends; but has now found himself in a long-distance arranged marriage void of love.

when Elena and Vlad are thrown into a situation where they have to interact on a daily basis again, they learn how to be around each other again: how to support, how to communicate, how to forgive.

There was a little bit of suspense included in the plot, which I don't really enjoy in general (suspense is not my genre of choice). But overall, I really enjoyed this book and I just love being in this world that Adams has built. I can't wait for more in this series

Is the Russian not the sweetest teddy bear ever?! His heart is so dang pure, and I just want to hug him! I really enjoyed watching Vlad and Elena work through their relationship and feelings. The angst was real between them, and I became so invested in their happiness. Also, Claud is the best. Her love story would be friggen hilarious and fantastic! One of the characters dad/grandpa should come to visit!! 😍😂

I love this series. Do I think it’s 100% believable that a group of famous men would have a romance book club? No. I still don’t, four books in. BUT…that doesn’t matter, because I love them all, and they make me cackle out loud every single book!

It’s one of those series you can just let go and have fun reading. It’s perfect for the summer time ☀️

Thank you to @berkleypub and @netgalley for the arc in exchange for my honest review ❤️

Isn't It Bromantic is the 4th in Lyssa Kay Adams' Bromance Bookclub series and it’s The Russian's story. I have been waiting for this one since I first discovered the series, and it did not disappoint. Vlad dealing with the effects chronic illness (finally diagnosed) and being a romantic at heart while experiencing the expectations oft he tough guy stereotype were wonderfully drawn.
The trope used here was the marriage-of-convenience-trope and it worked, the story was both believable and relatable. As always we got both of the characters POV‘s and the other Bros and Vlad’s subdivision friend group of middle age and upwards women dubbed the Loners add to the laughs (no worries, we are not laughing at them), but they have great suggestions to get this relationship from a paper marriage to a real partnership.
I liked the storylines for both Vlad and Elena, their backstories seemed real and relatable. The foundation was there for their relationship to flourish but they were both so stubborn. I felt that the ending – the grand gesture - was a bit rushed, but aside from that, I loved the book. I also liked that the romance novel included and referenced this time was a book Vlad was in the process of writing, rather than a romance novel the Bromance book club was reading. I loved the Pushkin references as well !
Even though Elena’s backstory touches on tough socio-political issues, the book was overall a very light read, a perfect beach or pool read. I bingeread this book and couldn’t put it down.

Thank you to @netgalley and @berkleypub for providing me with this eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Loved, loved, loved this latest installment in The Bromance Book Club series. Vlad has always been my favorite character, so I was thrilled to see him with his own book. I hope that this author keeps adding to this series as I will be a longtime reader!
