I’m a long-time fan of books by Portia MacIntosh and I always look forward to the next release. I thoroughly enjoy her writing style, there is comedy, emotion, drama, and romance everything unfolds at a good pace. MacIntosh always provides a fun, easy read that will entertain.
The characters in Portia’s books are always realistic, loveable characters and this time is no exception. I think Peach is brilliant, and Matt sounds like a dream! They were both strong characters but completely likeable – even when you think Matt is no good. I really liked Van, although I grew quite uncertain of her motives at points. I didn’t think I would grow to like Charles at all, I disliked him but by the end I found myself quite charmed by him. It might be interesting to see how he (and everyone) would react if all the secrets of the past had come to light
There was an awful lot crammed into this story, entertaining but at times it was quite full on. A lot of characters in one place with secrets and twists, a couple of things never seemed to be resolved and a couple of characters just seemed to fade away by the end. I would have been interested to see what happened if a couple of other scenarios played out.
This book has brilliant characters and fun storylines, it was highly entertaining, and I would recommend for an easy, relaxing read.

A perfect weekend read. A lovely story. The cost of the wine made me laugh out loud and naked wednesday was brilliant. So many twists and turns but it kept you intrigued. Glad it all ended well

A funny smart witty story . Nice characters and situation we can relate .
I received this novel from net galley and the publisher as an ARC. Thank you! All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Fun and easy. The characters we’re easy to enjoy and relate to in many instances. A bit predictable, but overall an enjoyable summer read. It started quick and read fast. Light and breezy, much like the title.
Thank you netgalley for the advance copy.

This was my first Portia book! It was pretty good! I enjoyed the characters they were loveable, cute, funny!
I loved the cover its so cute and lively.
Very cute quick book!

Thank you to Boldwood Books & NetGalley for this ARC.
This book is sadly not for me. The first four chapters were fun but not the laugh-out-loud level of fun. I really hated how the book dealt with the guy who was a bully - I'm sorry but I really think he doesn't deserve a second chance. The romance felt very superficial and I didn't feel the chemistry. I can't rate this book higher for the fact I didn't find it enjoyable or entertaining, and I was actually bored most of the time.

3.5 ⭐️
I love quick, easy to read romcoms, and this is just that!
Starting with a meet cute and headed for who knows what, you get to follow Portia through a tumble of emotions and an incredibly short engagement (not hers).
With books like this you expect a certain amount of miscommunication and coincidences to occur. However, I did feel like there were a few to many coincidences to be remotely believable. I’ll admit, believability isn’t what I look for in a romcom, but it’s nice to feel some true plausibility. That said, Portia and Matt are just the right amount of perfect for each other to enjoy the journey.
Thanks Netgalley for this book in exchange for an honest review.

This is the third book I’ve read by Portia MacIntosh, and it makes me even more excited to continue reading more by her. I quickly learned that I love her writing style, and thought this story sounded so fun! And as expected, I loved the way it was written.
I also absolutely loved both Peach and Matt. They were both such strong characters, individually, and when they were together. I wish there were even more moments of them being together, because I swooned over basically every single paragraph that involved the two of them. I also really liked Van, Alex, and while I wasn’t sure what I thought about Charles at first, he won me over by the end.
This was a 4/5 for me because I felt like there were just too many coincidental situations written into the story. I’m fine with some random things happening to add little twists, but some parts of the story just went a bit too far for my personal preference. But even though the story ended up not being my absolute favourite, the wonderful characters and the writing style made this book well worth the read for me. I will definitely be picking up a paperback copy when it comes out.

Well, Queen Portia has done it again! She's rocked up to, completely nailed another absolutely wonderful masterpiece that has left me with tears streaming down my cheeks.
This is a beautiful and heartwarming novel with the perfect amounts of romance, drama and laughs. I have devoured this in just hours and can safely say that this is absolutely my new favourite of the fabulous Portia's books.
I adore the characters in this book, Peach is brilliant! Who doesn't want a fiancée that's crossed between Matthew M and Chris H, although I'd need a dash of Channin Tatum thrown in as well. Peach has really made this a great read with her antics and mishaps.
Matt is just gorgeous and I've wanted great things from him. If only real men were like Matt. Even with his douche bag ways he is a nice guy.. definitely a favourite on the fictional boyfriend list.
Throughout this one, we have a number of secrets unveiled. Some are more entertaining than others. There are events to make you laugh and cry.
I adore the cover of this book; it's cute, inviting and definitely transports you go a different setting. I want to be on that beach.
I cannot say anything negative about this book. Portia has absolutely created a masterpiece and is most definitely a queen of the genre. This is a heartwarming and beautiful tale which shows that the right people really will ride out the bumps and obstacles with you.
A definite five star read and one which I will be highly recommending. Also, if any of my bookish friends haven't yet delved into queen Portia's novels, this is an absolute must!
