Enjoyable series of meditations. The author's voice and style were enjoyable enough. The book felt a little too long for my taste, but overall a good read.
Setting aside even just 5 minutes a day to meditate these days feels like it's impossible to fit in.
This book is broken down into parts that make it possible to find time to include in your day. While I still struggle to set the time aside, this book makes for a good guide to get you started.
This book is definitely one to keep around whenever you need a guide or a bit of help.
Modern Meditations: 101 Ways to Slow Down & Connect to Spirit by Murray du Plessis is a nice collection of meditations that includes something for everyone. I especially appreciated the Healing and Grounding chapters. #ModernMeditations #NetGalley

Modern Meditations: 101 Ways to Slow Down & Connect to Spirit by Murray du Plessis is a great guide to meditation.
The book is broken into twelve chapters covering spiritual fields: Chapter 1: Relaxation, Chapter 2: Abundance, Chapter 3: Heart, Chapter 4: Transformation, Chapter 5: Angels, Chapter 6: Healing, Chapter 7: Grounding, Chapter 8: Heaven, Chapter 9: Soul, Chapter 10: Unity, Chapter 11: The Universal Spirit, and Chapter 12: Reflections. Within each chapter, there are meditations related to each field.
I love how the author describes meditation as "loving conversations with yourself". I've always struggled with meditation and hearing it described that way has helped to change my perspective.
This is not a book to read cover to cover in one sitting, but rather one that you work through.
I'm so grateful to Murray du Plessis, Llewellyn Worldwide, Ltd., and NetGalley for providing me with a free copy of this ARC ebook in exchange for my honest review.

The author suggests fully engaging in the book instead of trying to read it in a week. Each meditation in the book is about ten minutes long. Since I have an older Kindle, I have the ability to have the book read to me. An idea may be to use a voice recorder to record the meditations so you can listen without reading or trying to remember the words. The author did a great job creating these meditations that can be used by any meditation skill level.
With many of having fast-paced lives these days, it is hard to slow down and find any quiet time to meditate. That is always my biggest struggle. This book offers a wide array of meditations that fit into almost every aspect of your life, allowing you to find one that fits into the space and time you have.
I really will have to buy this book and keep it near my meditation area. It is such a wonderful source for those with busy lives.
The book is laid out very well and is easy to follow and comprehend what is going on. My favorite part is that it really does more than giving you meditations...it shows the reader how to adjust their meditations to their own needs.
Great book. Interesting to read and practices are very intuitive, which means it will give you the freedom to adjust meditations to your own nature. Beautiful insights are scattered through the text. Forex. Simple advice about esoteric work with your eyes open is very valuable for this and many other occult works! Very uplifting book which will help you understand the secrets of meditation.
Love how this book has meditations that fit in with the different things in life, being new to meditation it's great to see different ones and not just a "one size fits all" meditation. Definitely buying a physical copy.
