In Fern Michaels newest series we meet a brother and a sister, Cullen and Luna Bodman. Cullen is an antique restoration dealer and Luna has alot of gifts but her main gig is a coffee shop. These two sometimes work together seeing as how their shops are in the same big market-place. These two have a great relationship and find themselves embroiled in the same mystery together by the purchase by Cullen of a desk that needs restoration. Can these siblings figure out this mystery before it's too late??
I am a huge fan of Fern Michaels books and I loved this new one as well!!! In my opinion this book is the adorable first in a great series that will charm readers. Which is what Ms Michaels is famous for with her books. The brother and sister in this series are too adorable and so likable. I will definitely impatiently await the next book in this series. I highly recommend this book.
This is book #1 in a brand new series by Fern Michaels. This book is full of suspense as multiple people race to find the last will and testament of Randolph Millstone. HIs son seeks to find and destroy the final will as he suspects he has been cut out of the will completely. That will have a serious impact on his and his wife's lifestyle. The will was jammed in a desk sold to an antique restoration shop. Cullen, who owns the shop and his sister Luna discover the will and want to get it to the attorney for Randolph Millstone. Before they can do that multiple people converge on their shop trying to find the missing will. It's a game of cat and mouse and with Luna's ESP she picks up on the illicit intentions. Mr. Millstone's assistant Collette, who witnessed the will, must go into hiding as people are trying to find her thinking she has the will in her possession. She is afraid for her life and the life of her young son. Somehow, she has to get in touch with the attorney for Randolph Millstone. It's a race against time.

In Michaels latest novel we find three segments in the lives of people that intertwine to give us one outcome. First we are introduced to Arthur and Rowena Millstone of Boston. They are trying to work through the death of Arthurś father Randolf Millstone. He passed suddenly while discussing business with his associate Collette Petrov. He had given her documents to help change his will and the future of his business, Millstone Associates. In the event of his death, Randolph wanted Collette to make certain that his attorney, Clive Dunbar received the updates. In no way did he want Arthur and his wicked wife to run the business and inherit the fortune. She knew that if her dear boss passed that Arthur and Rowena would fire her. She and her son would need to leave Boston in fear of what they would try to do to get documents at he business managerś disposal.
In North Carolina we find Luna Bodman and her brother, Cullen working for the newly opened Stillman Art Center. Luna runs the Namaste Cafe and Cullen has taken his furniture restoring business in the studio next door. He has recently purchased a load of unused furniture from Millstone Associates. It was sent from the Millstone home. Rowena had wanted to get rid of the masterś antiques, some of which were marred and needed repair. She knew that selling part of Randolphś domain should have gone through the Millstone business board but she chose to dispose of it as quickly as she could to keep the money in her own pocket. As the book progressed incidents wove in and out of the lives of each persona. I enjoyed the book although at some points I became confused by the history disclosed. Once I was well into the story I was wondering how it could end and bring in full circle. Itś an interesting read and one that literary fiction readers will enjoy.

Fern Michaels has been a favorite author of mine for a long time!
Hidden is going to be added to another amazing read on my list of favorites from this author!
Another amazing read by one of my favorite authors! This has me in the edge of my seat and LOVE the way it ended! I highly recommend this book! Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for my ARC copy in exchange for my honest opinion!
Siblings Cullan and Luna Bodman are joining forces to open a new business in a local artisan center. Cullan is a furniture restorer. Luna is an old soul with psychic powers who is opening a coffee shop across from Cullan's business. Luna is attracted to the Marshall she has done searches with in the past and all of them get together to solve a mystery that involves an item in Cullan's shop. This is a twisting and turning mystery and has a lot of suspense and action. This was fun to read.
I have voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book that I received from NetGalley. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.
This was my first Fern Michaels book, and I would characterize it as a sweet romantic suspense with slight paranormal elements. The main characters are a brother and sister, Cullen and Fern. Fern has psychic abilities, although her abilities weren't a very big part of the story and could have been removed without really altering the plot.
Two villains are hunting for a missing will, because they are (rightly) afraid they've been written out of the will and will inherit nothing if it is found. The book is about their search and whether they will be able to find and destroy the will before they're brought to justice.
I was drawn into the story quickly, and enjoyed reading it. I found the slow-moving romance between Fern and a US Marshall to be endearing. However the story held no real surprises. The villains were so villainous, they seemed like cartoons rather than real people, and when they got their predictable comeuppance it felt anti-climactic.
Though I liked all the characters other than the villains, overall the book was too much of a slow burn for my tastes. It would appeal to lovers of clean romance who are after an easy, comforting escape.
Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Books for providing an ARC of this book.
Luna and Cullen are siblings who run an antiques business and cafe. Luna has a special sense so be prepared for some light paranormal stuff. She also has a crush on a US Marshall. They find themselves in a mess when Will. who restores the furniture, discovers a contested will. It's really light. It's also really slow- so slow that I gave up on it. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. A rare pass from me (especially for Michaels novel) but note that it might make a good YA read.
Ever finish a book and wonder if the person who wrote the synopsis and taglines actually read the book?
I used to read Fern Michaels books – hand me downs from a neighbour – when I was younger and I used to think they were fabulous. I fear it was misleading marketing and extreme nostalgia that elevated the promise of this novel.
I was tantalized with the following:
“dangerous mystery” “defense in a matter of life and death” “riveting new thriller” “their lives may depend on it” “dangerous information” “thrilling new suspense” ….hhhhmmmm….it’s NOT what I got. I read every single sentence in this book.
YOU read and be the judge.
The first thing you’ll notice is that there are quite a few characters, with lots of development and a TON of backstory. This makes sense for the first novel of a series, but when it’s not backed up with action that supports the tag lines, it’s really disappointing.
Despite there being many characters, I couldn’t connect with any of them. I saw potential for a romance between two and it may develop over the next few books.
This is a light, fluffy story with a predictable ending and very little in terms of danger or thrills. I think I’ll pass on the remainder of the series.

I love Fern Michaels' books, and this was one of my favorites.
Fern weaves the lives of several different characters together artfully to create a story with suspense, romance, friendship, and secrets. The chapters go back and forth between several characters, building each of their stories, but it flows effortlessly together to create a wonderful plot. A rich couple is on the brink of financial disaster, and they need to find their father's will that they believe was hidden in furniture that has previously been sold. Luna and Cullen are brother and sister that each run a shop in the local art center. Ellie is the owner of the art center. And then there is the Marshall, who has worked with Luna in the past. When the table with the hidden will shows up in Cullen's shop, secrets unfold, crimes are uncovered, and a sprinkle of romance grows. While the overall plot is predictable, this is a wonderful story,
I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
Oh my goodness.
I hate to say it but… I will.
This book was boring.
I kept waiting for something amazing to happen… But every single chapter was just a very, very slow progression to a very unexciting conclusion.
Her character descriptions were good, it was a pretty easy read… It was just an unbelievably boring book.
It has been a very long time since I have read a Fern Michaels book, if I'm being honest, it might even be categorized into decades. This book sounded interesting in the fact that it had a supernatural or psychic spin to the story so I decided to go ahead an request the ARC.
The thing that comes to mind when I read this book was that it was EXTREMELY superficial. It really reminded me of books that I read when I was much younger from authors who tended to write in a somewhat different style than the authors now. Danielle Steele and Mary Higgens Clark come to mind. There is just something about the verbiage that is....hmmm....simpler? I'm not sure how to define it other than to say the flow of the dialogue did not seem to be natural. It seemed very forced. Kind of how someone sounds when they talk without using contractions. Stilted and formal. Those are the two words that keep coming up in my head.
Anyway, there really wasn't much to this story. We are introduced to two siblings - a brother and sister. Apparently the sister has psychic abilities - she mentions psychometry - but these abilities are barely touched upon. She likes a U.S. Marshall that she met during a missing child case, but that relationship is explained in a way that I can only describe as juvenile. She likes him, her knees get wobbly, she gets tongue tied...get the picture? Their relationship - if you can call it that - entails some awkward phone conversations, several kisses on the cheek and then FINALLY a real kiss at the end of the book.
There are the requisite bad guys (and girl). They are portrayed as caricatures of actual bad people and then there is another woman with a young child who somehow finds herself in the middle of things. Was the book awful? No. It wasn't. But, it wasn't great. It just was.
It was a very easy read that did not create any feelings of investment - I mean I liked Cullen and Luna...they were very nice. The problem is that it really didn't bring forth any feelings whatsoever. The plot was obvious from the very beginning and it played out in EXACTLY the way that it had telegraphed from the beginning. But, with that being said, it was pleasant.
Will I continue with this series? No, probably not.
Thank you to NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review. The opinions above are mine and mine alone.
Fern Michaels introduces a new series Lost and Found with Hidden. Cullan, the serious business type, and his free spirited sister Luna launch a cafe/ furniture repair shop. Luna is worried about the vibes from one table, that they just acquired. This launches a story of criminal behavior and a missing will. Fern Michaels at her best as the plot rattles along carrying the reader into the suspense filled story. Enjoy.
A very entertaining read involving a missing will, greedy people, and the wonderful people who are determined to set things straight! Thoroughly enjoyed the good characters and cheered alongside them!
A possible missing will and the search is on. Arthur the potential heir to a business owned by his Father has a gambling problem. He thinks his Father may have changed his will and he has to find and destroy it before he loses everything. There is a great cast of characters, some a little off beat, but likable. There is a bit of humor, and a romance along with the suspense in this book. Altho it is a bit predictable, It was an entertaining read with a plot that will hold your interest. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.
I usually enjoy most of Fern Michael’s books and this one is no exception. It’s supposed to be part of a series so it’s off to a good start. The plot isn’t all that deep, but I enjoyed the fumbling of the villains. I either snickered or chortled when I read the parts concerning Arthur and Rowena, especially Rowena’s thoughts and comments. I was immediately into Marshall Gaines, um yes please. I liked Chi-Chi and Ellie. I loved Wiley. I was actually a little slow to warm to the 2 main characters: Cullen and Luna. I think the secondary characters were more interesting, in my opinion. It’s an entertaining read and I can assure you, the ending is very good.
I would love to see the main characters in a series of books. It left me wanting more adventure and suspense. Fern Michaels always keeps me on my toes.
I’m so glad this is the first book in a new series. I really enjoyed the characters of Luna, Cullen, Gaines and Ellie and can see many great stories ahead for them. An enjoyable read.
I really enjoyed reading this book. I loved the premise and the characters. The storyline was easy to follow along with and the romance aspect is minimal. A furniture restorer, his psychic sister, a wealthy widow and a US Marshall are just some of the interesting people in this easy to read book.
Great first book in the Lost and Found Series! We meet the siblings Luna Bodman, who just has that sense, and her brother Cullan, who restores furniture, both are in business at the new a local arts center.
Somebody’s trash is another person treasure, one is an old table that Cullan buys to restore,\ and attracts the attention of Luna. What happens next is a tale of riches, corruption, race against the clock, and also of friendship, trust, and the good in people.
Lovely story, easy to read, looking forward to reading more of Luna, Cullan and their friends.
Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Books for an early read.
