This was a nice book albeit a bit on the slow side. I really enjoyed these characters and their relationship with each other- it was the overall plot that cast a shadow on an otherwise great novel. It was just not as exciting or thrilling as I would have liked or expected considering this is the final which will either end with the rift reopening or the bad guys stopped. Instead, the whole book was spent with a cult like setting with these meetings and a very lackluster climax where the villain was soundly beaten and easily. The heroine was a magical woman with a sassy Irish lilt and an eagerness to discover everything the hero had to offer. I liked their romance and it was certainly hot and heavy. I wish the ending to this series was a bit more - we'll say- memorable.
