Ben Harris is a 12-year-old with spunk, and he's been invited by his uncle Owen Quinn, a private investigator to attend THE event of 1955 -Springfield History Museum's unveiling of The Colbalt Mask. Ben is excited to be present at the prestigious opening, along with other characters-who-may-be-criminals Genevieve Marcus (the rich lady who would love to buy the mask), Jimmy Bones (who is out of prison now), and Sergeant Belson (the officer who may be a little shady).

When an ancient suit of armor falls in the grand room, there is screaming and chaos. What has happened? Oh, no! The Colbalt Mask is gone!
