This is a perfect fit for readers who crave a heartwarming and dramatic romance, with a strong focus on family dynamics, forgiveness, and the complexities of sibling relationships, all set against the backdrop of a picturesque lake house getaway.
Just a continuation of the same story in Books1&2, with the same somewhat toxic/dramatic vibe carrying through. Didn't enjoy the tone in first two books - as such, didn't relish this one either
If you're looking for a sweet sports romance give this one a try! Fast-paced with a lot of heart and even some tear-jerking moments, I read it in one sitting and definitely recommend it!
After reading and enjoying the first one, I could not get into the rest of the series. I found the book to be repetitive and much like the first so it felt like I wasn’t reading anything new.
In Book 3 of the KISS & TELL series, the Chamberlain brothers are still feuding: Dylan is dating Zach's ex, and Zach feels betrayed. During a lakeside family vacation, their girlfriends concoct a scheme to help them work out their differences. But when their youngest brother gets involved, will it backfire? While Books 1 and 2 of the series can be read as standalones, this book will make more sense if you read the series in order. It's a good chance to revisit the characters and see how the family moves forward after the heartache of the previous books. It's a sweet way to wrap up this storyline before moving on to the next books in the series. It's written with the same heart and humor the author shows in the previous installments.
As I’m invested in this series I must say that this third book in the Kiss & Tell series continued to delight me. I’m this book we get Xach and Jenna and Dylan and Emily with some tension between the brothers as you might expect as they are gathered at the lake house for Easter. Then there is mischievous younger brother Nick who stirs the pot. There’s a lot that happens in this novella. The author does a wonderful job tying up all the loose ends and leaving you with a smile on your face.
Zach and Dylan have been at odd together for a while now. Zach feels betrayed by Dylan. Even though he is happy in his current relationship and is making a solid life for himself as a pro baller.
Dylan and Emily are getting their happily ever after but neither of them want it to come at the price of their family anymore.
Jenna and Emily devise highjinks to get the guys solidly back on familial ground and hope they can even be friends again.
Many thanks to the author and Netgalley for the arc of this third installation in this series. I adore this family and have loved watching their happinesses. I can't wait to read more about Nick.
I have been really enjoying Christy Hayes writing and this was no different. This was a novella so shorter but I still felt the plot was fleshed out enough to enjoy it. Another good read
I really enjoyed Kiss & Make Up. I’ve grown really attached to these characters throughout the three books.
Kiss & Make Up deals with the fallout from the first two books as they all work toward a reconciliation. I liked following the characters after the first two books to see how they would resolve the tension and conflict. It was a nice wrap up for the characters and the reader.
I don't read much about characters in college so I really liked that aspect of these books. It's a really important time in someone's life and it definitely added to the story,
Enjoyed this series from Christy Hayes. Haven’t really read this author before. Enjoyed it all. Will read more.
I liked this book now than the second one but they're all just post to me. A lot of immaturity going on in this series
#KissandMakeUp brings both books to a sweet conclusion as a #novella. As the Chamberlain clan gathers for Easter, Zach, Jenna, Dylan & Emily have a tense reunion. Throw in youngest brother, Nick, who has his own part in the story
and there’s so much that happens!
Leave it to the fabulous #ChristyHayes to wrap up all loose ends in a perfect bow with lots of kisses. What a fantastic series this has been to read!
This is the third book in the series and it was a really short and fun way to end the story.
The Chamberlain brothers are still mad at each other so when both couples gather for a weekend together, the family drama begins.
Since this is a novella, not a ton happens plot wise. But was still a must read if you’ve read the first two books in the Kiss and Tell Series.
This was a super cute read. It was the final book in Christy's trilogy and probably my favorite of the stories. If you're looking for an easy and clean romance novel, this will fit the bill.
Ah i love happy endings and Ms. Hayes never fails to give you just that with beautiful characters that have unique voices. Definitely recommend this book to anyone who's a hopeless romantic
In the Novella KISS AND MAKE Up, we fast forward to Easter weekend and the entire Chamberlain family plus the 2 girlfriends, Emily and Jenna, are headed for the family’s lake house in North Georgia.
This one is told from the 4 main characters from STALLING FOR TIME and THE END RUN points of view and it’s a fun story of everyone clearing the air!
I really liked the character of Nick, the youngest brother who is cocky and smart-mouthed. I hope he gets his own story!
What a cute book series! Love the bright colors of the cover and really enjoyed the story. Looking forward to more from the author and would definitely recommend to friends.
Parts two and three of author, Christy Hayes' KISS & TELL SERIES are ready for your eyes. END RUN and KISS & MAKE UP follow part one STALLING FOR TIME. What we know so far is, Emily Dilbert is now on the arm of Dylan Chamberlain, after dating his brother Zach for five years. It doesn't appear the brothers are going to let bygones be bygones anytime soon. Zach still has his football career and the biggest game in his senior year to focus on.
In END RUN, Zach has given up women forever. He doesn't understand them and he's not going to have his heart crushed again, especially by his brother. Zach doesn't expect spending time with his tutor, Jenna is going to lead anywhere - she's not his blue-eyed, blond-hair-cheerleading type. But when Zach realizes he has to pass statistics to continue to play football, something unexpected clicks with this smart, nerdy woman.
In KISS & MAKE UP, it's time for Zach and Dylan to put their grudges aside, or is it? It's family Easter weekend at the lake house, Zach is there with Jenna, Dylan with Emily. Can't everyone just get along? Not everyone thinks forgive and forget is such a good idea. The girls put together a secret plan, but will everyone be ready to kiss and make up.
Christy Hayes' stories are delightful. They're romantic, funny and the best part, totally clean so you can give a copy to anyone. Her books also share the importance and love, family and relationships. They are also quick to read, so you don't have to put too much time aside to read. Enjoy!
Kiss & Make Up (Kiss & Tell Book 3) by Christy Hayes
Publisher: CAH LLC
Genre: New Adult | Romance
Publication Date: April 12, 2021
Kiss & Make Up is the third book in the Kiss & Tell series by Christy Hayes. I have not read the previous books, but was easily able to jump right into this novella.
This was a cute romance! It seems to be in a linear timeline from the previous books in the series, but I was able to enjoy this without reading the first two books. The story was really good with interesting characters. There were definitely some very funny moments, as well as some feel good moments. I loved the theme of family and forgiveness.
I'll defintely be reading the other books in the series because this was so good!
I'm so grateful to Christy Hayes, CAH LLC, and NetGalley for providing me with a free copy of this ARC ebook in exchange for my honest review.
This was a cute, short tie in of books 1 and 2. Dylan and Emily spend the weekend with Zach and Jenna and the Chamberlin family at the lake house for Easter weekend. The girls are determined to make the boys put their differences aside so that the family could finally move forward. Emily also wants to earn the family’s respect back. Nick, as usual, causes some problems but it turned out being a cute novella!
