TRUE LOVE COWBOY by Jennifer Ryan. I have been waiting for this one and Ms. Ryan certainly came through. I loved Trinity and Jon and, of course, Emma. Ms. Ryan wrote a great nasty villain and, boy, did it frustrate the heck out of me every time she was in the picture. There is love and romance, great family time and wonderful friendships throughout this book and the series. The only reason I took away half a star was the ending came across a bit rushed for me. Our characters seemed to recover rather quickly from some traumatic events and that was a bit off for me. However, not so much that it took too much away from the story. This book and series is one of my faves and I look forward to reading more tales by this talented author. (received NetGalley Arc for honest review)

A love at first site story with suspense and heart rending choices. I really appreciated the ease that the main characters fell for each other and then supported each other through the trials of their current life. The main characters are easy to love and they are definitely someone to root for. The only thing holding this story back from 5 stars, for me, was Jon's Ex/mother of his child. That character was cringy, horrible and unneccessarily unredeemable.

True Love Cowboy by Jennifer Ryan is the third book in her McGrath series. It works just fine as stand alone, but I suggest reading Book 1 to fill you in on what happens to Trinity in that book. I'm enjoying this entire series. A bit guilty pleasure and mystery reading. True Love Cowboy's format is a little different in that we don't have chapters devoted to the wrong doer's perspective. I didn't miss this as the wrong doer in this story is bad news...

Trinity is a successful co-owner of a business selling take away meals. She is recovering from a traumatic event often having panic attacks. It is always in her nature to help others. One night afterwork she brings food to a elderly customer, Dennis Crawford, and finds him very sick. She is able to get him to her car when a strange man comes rushing to her. He triggers her PTSD but we find out it is Dennis' son Jon and they get Dennis to the hospital. Trinity and Jon have instant sparks and real foundation for friendship.. or more.

Here is where the book gets its juicy mystery side. Jon has moved back from California to his Father's Ranch. He brings with him his daughter and also his ex. Jon is hoping to give his daughter a better life here and step back from working so much. His ex, Steph was having problems before the move, has a selfish personality and most likely mental health issues. Jon sets Steph up with an apartment and helps her find a job. Jon is a genius at buying businesses and helping them. When he talks to Trinity about this there is some instant conflict. She has no intentions of selling her business. Despite the conflicts in Jon's life, Trinity makes an instant bond with Jon's daughter and they all seem to fit together in the sweetest way. Emma is a great character in the book and you will instantly love her.

This is where the book gets mysterious and then heavy. I was yelling out loud to the characters all the time. As a mom I found some of the issues near the end very simplified. It works for the novel but may be a bit problematic.
So much action and child care in this book there is little time for romantic scenes. Doesn't take away from the connection and attraction though! Overall, it is a very fun and touching read.

Thank you to #Netgalley for the early read.

This one took me a few days to process for my review.

This book is very light on the smut side (which I normally hate), but the story was so good. It was also one of those books that while you are so frustrated with the actions of the characters, you have to realize they can't do what you want them to do.

The star of this book was Emma for me (Jon's 4-year-old daughter). She was so sweet and cute. You will love her from the get go and you will want to punch her mother in the throat the entire book.

They are from LA and Jon is ready to slow down and raise is daughter on a Ranch like he was. Steph (Emma's mom) says she will go with so that they can start fresh as a "family", note they are not together but she wants them to be.

This is where the processing comes in. Emma's mom is awful. She is a selfish cow, but she puts on a show for everyone. Jon knows that Steph is getting worse and worse, but legally he can't do anything until she steps over this awful line. And he also has the fear that if he doesn't cave to her a little she will move back to LA and he will have to follow to be with his daughter.

So, he has to send his daughter to stay with a mom he knows isn't treating her the way he wants. It will break your heart every time she goes back. But I get it, I can't imagine being in that situation. He wants his daughter to have this relationship with her mom, so what do you do? He does everything he can, aside from basically kidnapping her. That is the main trigger for this book that I know some might struggle with.

Now this is a romance book (without a lot of sex). Jon meets Trinity the first day he comes back, and is drawn to her instantly. Of course instalove kicks in (my favorite trope - don't fucking judge me). Trinity has her own PTSD from an incident that happened in a prior book, but she won't let her issues get in the way. She is all in, she is awesome and supportive and the best to Emma. I loved every part of Trinity's character. I loved how Jon and Trinity were as a couple.

Okay, here is why it's not 5 stars for me.

1. Only 1 sex scene.. Need I say more?
2. The epilogue wasn't there for me. I didn't feel completed at the end. It was a good ending, 90% of you will love it.. But I'm an epilogue whore and I need them. I need to see 10 years down the road that you are happy and you worked through your issues.

Otherwise an incredibly written story, that will definitely get your emotional and brain going.

Not sure what to say but wow what a book and storyline. This is my first introduction to the McGraths but I'll go back and read the rest for sure.

It starts all out and continues for the entire story so there is no lulls in this book and keeps you in it the entirety of the book. Trinity meets Jon as she's trying to save his dad and it's full on from there.

This book has a lot in it and a bit of a trigger warning it has some child abuse as part of the story. So grab a tissue.

I received this ARC by the publisher in exchange for an honest review. Enjoyable read, worth picking up and love story that conquers fears and doubts. I’ve always enjoyed Ryan’s strong male heroes and feisty heroines which this story has. Welcome to the world of the McGrath Family. We meet Trinity, the youngest McGrath who is still struggling with PTSD from when she was kidnapped and locked into a car’s trunk. She has been trying to deal with this on her own without the help of her family.

Along comes Jon Crawford who is coming back home to help out his dad and also to spend more time with his 4-year daughter, Emma who he has joint custody with his ex-girlfriend, Stephanie. Stephanie has also made the move to start over with her daughter Emma also, Jon was able to set her up with a job and an apartment. Things go downhill from there.

Both Trinity and Jon are struggling but they do find each other and it clicks. Read this tenderhearted love story and find out how Trinity and Jon find love and help each other.

This is such a fantastic series and is worth re reading. I loved being emotionally involved with the characters. Really loved how great Trinity was for Jon and his daughter Emmy. She understood that Emmy always comes first. Loved staying on edge, Jon’s ex girlfriend (Emmy’s Mom) is really bad and I never knew what she would do next. I did cry towards the end when something bad happens. Thankfully there’s a very happy ever after, it’s so heartwarming. I highly recommend this book.

Jon and Trinity are just <sigh> so freaking cute together. If you have read the rest of the series, you are pretty familiar with Trinity's story. She is the youngest of the McGrath family and continues to suffer from PTSD after she was kidnapped and hurt by her sister-in-law's psycopathic ex. She and her sister-in-law Adria have built a business

Jon grew up with Trinity's older brothers, but had moved to California. He is an entrepreneur who helps businesses expand and then sells them for a profit. He had a not-well-thought-out relationship with a spoiled woman named Stephanie that resulted in a sweet precocious daughter. Jon's father has been declining in health and Jon wants to return to his hometown to give his daughter a more wholesome childhood. He has convinced his ex to also move with him (but live in her own apartment).

Trinity is the first person Jon meets when he gets back to town - she is trying to rush Jon's father to the hospital when she finds him unresponsive. She supports Jon through that crisis - and truly - connects with him in a very profound way. To say Jon is going through some stuff - is not an exaggeration. Between his dad and his ex - things are not starting off the way he wanted them to. The only constant Jon has is his interest in Trinity - and wanting to spend as much time as possible with her.

Jon's ex is - well - spoiled and selfish really isn't enough to describe her. Being a single mom is the hardest job around - but Jon is truly a supportive co-parent - and she definitely has more help than many people do. Her neglect and abuse of their daughter is really hard to witness. It may be very triggering for some readers - so please read with caution.

I will say, though, that if you didn't love Jon before a major crisis happens, you will afterward.

Overall - this is a great conclusion to the series (and you can totally read it without reading the others).

I received this as an ARC from NetGalley, but these opinions are all my own.

We are back in Montana with the McGrath clan and this time the story belongs to the youngest one, Trinity McGrath.
If you read book one, you met her when she was kidnapped and lived a traumatic experience.
While she’s still dealing with PTSD, and doesn’t like to be touched, she continues offering her “meals to go” in her shop, and on occasion, delivers to those homebound. During one of her deliveries she finds Mr. Crawford collapsed in his home. As she struggles to help him, his son shows up , at first scaring her, and finally helping her take him to the hospital.
Jon Crawford is that man. He has left California and his busy lifestyle in order to returned home to spend time with his father and give his 4 year old daughter the opportunity to grow up in the country. But with his daughter, his ex-girlfriend and the girl’s mother, Steph, comes along. A self-centered woman who cares little for her daughter.
As a relationship develops between Jon and Trinity, and Trinity starts opening her heart and letting go of her fears, Steph interferes, at times endangering Jon’s little girl.
I have to confess I had a hard time understanding why Jon continued to enable Steph. That said, Trinity was the one that really took charge in helping the little girl flourish.
As the final story of the series, it was nice to reunite with the previous characters and see them all getting their HEA.
I was entrusted a copy of this book by Netgalley. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

ARC received for review

Trinity is still suffering from PTSD and flashbacks from being kidnapped in her brother's book Love of a Cowboy. She finds Jon's father unresponsive when delivery meals. Jon arrives just in time to help load him up and take him to the hospital. There is an attraction between them, but she's afraid plus he's brought his ex and their daughter to town with him. His daughter is adorable, but his ex is nasty, nasty, nasty. Then Trinity thinks Jon is trying to buy her business...or is he? There's lot of angst, drama, sex, and family. Loved the epilogue.

I received an arc from NetGalley and this is my honest review.
Jon is moving back home so his daughter can grow up with the same roots as he did. His selfish ex (Emmys mom) also makes the move but Steph makes some definite life altering choices that she is left to regret in the end.
Jon meets Trinity and he is captivated by her right from the start. Trinity also falls in love with Emmy right from the beginning. Could she be Jons happily ever after?

I loved Trinity's story- book 3 of the McGrath series!

During Tate and Liz's story, Trinity undergoes a traumatic event that leaves her with panic attacks and PTSD. Dark places and sudden movements behind her are a couple of triggers that lead Trinity down a road of painful memories. When delivering her homecooked meals to a favorite customer on a random Thursday, Trinity finds Dennis Crawford sick and in desperate need to go to the ER. Struggling with all her might to wrangle him into her car, Trinity is spooked by a vehicle barreling down the road and a stranger jumping out of the truck to confront her. When she gets her brain to realize this stranger is Mr. Crawford's son, Jon, they work together to get the elder Crawford to the ER. Trinity and Jon take a quick liming to one another and the foundation for true love begins.

Jon is moving home from California to give his daughter a better life, with simpler things and more of his time. Problems is, he is bringing his ex along, yet separate, to hopefully heal and give their daughter the best of both parents. Steph doesn't see it this way, she thinks Jon is going to allow her into his heart. Once Steph and her actions are revealed, there is no way Jon is going to allow her is his heart. Especially when Trinity is slipping in there, along with his daughter's heart as well.

I loved this book because it was totally different than anything I have read. The interactions with the ex were devastating for a little girl who only wanted love and Emmy was a sweetheart. The drama of dealing with Steph was interesting and Trinity handled herself with grace and dignity.

The powerful scenes with Jon and trinity and dealing with drama, hurt and healing were touching. I loved these two together.

Jennifer Ryan’s third book in the McGrath Novel series, True Love Cowboy, evoked such intense emotions from its onset. With realistic, and relatable characters it was so easy to develop a powerful attachment to them. There was humor, banter, tension, and intense moments that were jarring, yet powerful in the overall arc of the story. Trinity’s struggles with her past horrors were poignant and carried the story so fluidly.

The realism as the scenes unfolded created such authentic mind’s eye visuals. I enjoyed not only the journey Trinity and Jon took to their HEA, but also how the entire series culminated, tying up each couple’s story.

This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher and NetGalley. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.
