Susan Stoker is a master storyteller. Trusting Molly is another engaging story with amazing characters and storyline and they become "family." An excellent addition to my "Susan Stoker Shelf."

The plot didn't feel believable, maybe it was the pace of the plot that's making think this way. From what I've read in the synopsis I was curious about reading the book. I didn't feel like there was enough suspense and everything followed a pattern which is okay. This book just wasn't right for me.

Trusting Molly is the 3rd book in the series by Susan Stoker and this one has just as much suspense and romance as the first two. This particular book follows "Smoke" and his friends rescuing schoolchildren from Nigeria and stumble upon Molly, who was also taken. After rescuing her from the jungle and getting back home to the US, she realizes during her capture, her grandparents were murdered. In coming to terms with the fact that her family is gone, there is another threat to her freedom and it isn't necessarily from the jungle that she escaped from.

A great read from Susan Stoker!

4.5 stars. I have loved every book in this series by Susan Stoker. She has created characters and different story lines for each man in silver stone towing that have made me fall in love. Both Molly and smoke were wonderfully developed characters and I love the way they eventually loved each other. From the moment smoke found Molly, until the very end you couldn’t help but root for them.

The suspense and plot were very well written and kept you on the edge of your seat.

A big fan of the author’s works and this book showed me why I love her stories so much once again . Beautiful romance with a slow burn that drove me crazy but made me love the characters even more.

I love Susan Stoker books, her plots are amazing and her characters draw you in. I don't even read synopsis's when preordering her books, that's ok great she is.

Trusting Molly was my first Susan Stoker book and certainly not my last. I haven’t read many military and romantic suspense romances before but I found the action to blend perfectly with the romance. The connection between Smoke and Molly was just swoon-worthy. I love a hero who is guarding his heart yet is immediately drawn in by the heroine. Although I would have only wished the kidnapping plot line would have been a bigger part of the story, I felt like the overall mystery and action was fantastic. I desperately need to read the rest of Stroker’s backlist!

I love and look forward to SS's book. I will typically purchase the audiobooks because they are released a week before the ebook. I can never wait. The suspense aspect of the romance was fast-paced and exciting.

Trusting Molly, Silverstone book 3 by Susan Stoker, is my favorite of this series so far. When I read one of her books, I know to expect a steamy romance with an intense emotional connection between the hero and heroine, where the hero falls hard and fast. I love that! Stoker balances an active writing style, vibrant description, deep friendships/partnerships between the characters, steamy emotional romance, and characters you can’t help but admire, root for, and love – even if their lives and stories aren’t at all relatable. These are my favorite things about her books. With Trusting Molly, we definitely get all that, but it’s even sweeter.

Trusting Molly starts with the Silverstone assassins on a mission in the Nigerian jungle searching for a terrorist group that has kidnapped young women and girls, and environmental engineer Molly Smith, from a school. The team’s mission is to take out the terrorists, so the women and girls can be rescued. Former Army Special Forces and the stealthiest member of his team, Mark “Smoke” Chamberlin is comfortable heading into danger, protecting innocents, and taking out terrorists. Past relationships have made him wary of love, especially after inheriting money from his uncle left him very wealthy.

Molly has always been unlucky – from the time she was a child. Her kidnapping was just the latest unfortunate incident. But when Smoke trips and falls onto her, rescues her from the kidnappers, and returns her to the US with his team, she starts to believe that her luck may be changing for the best. However, learning about her grandparents’ deaths is a devastating loss for her. Needing time to recover from the kidnapping and their deaths on top of it, Molly accepts Smoke’s offer to stay with him. The two become friends bordering on more as they negotiate living in close quarters while Molly heals, emotionally and physically, and figures out her next step. Danger from Molly’s past threatens their burgeoning closeness and future. I loved both Molly and Smoke. Their interactions are sweet, sexy, emotional, and humorous. Smoke and Molly are a great match for each other, and the evolution of both characters and their relationship is a pleasure to read.

Stoker’s heroes are serious good guys, but her villains are downright evil and just plain awful human beings. So far, the weakest part of her books to me has been the suspense, which has improved over the series. Although much of the book is spent developing the relationship between Mark and Molly, aside from a couple of things I couldn’t reconcile, the suspense elements are nicely plotted and definitely kept me turning the pages to find out how Stoker will resolve things.

Readers who love pining, friends-to-lovers, close quarters, heroes who are all about the heroine, and fearless and strong heroines, but don’t mind if their romantic suspense is more romance than action/suspense should enjoy this sweet, steamy, angsty, and thrilling romance.

When Mark "Smoke" Chamberlin goes into the Nigerian jungle the mission is easy get in, kill the target and get out as quickly as possible. However Molly Smith an a hundred school girls have been kidnapped. Smoke is leery of love but once he meets Molly that changes. Smoke rescues her but when she returns home she finds out her grandparents were murdered. Molly turns to Smoke for help. There is another threat around the corner. This is a good read I read it in one day and I enjoyed it. I really liked Smoke and Molly and was glad to read their story they felt like real people to me. I reccomend this series and this book. There is drama, romance and a mystery of who is the threat.

The thrilling suspense of this book kept me glue to the page with all the lights on. Truly chilling stuff, and very well written. This is the kind of story that will haunt you while at the same time restoring your faith in humanity. Not for the faint at heart, but if you like pulse-pounding scenes this is the book for you. The HEA was spot on, with a strong lead-in to the next book in the series. Simply fantastic ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I've loved all of the Silverstone books so far. They are a fascinating group - and I feel like it is not much of a stretch of the imagination for a group like this to really exist. To have them be as compassionate and such good employers - I'm not sure - but what they do - I am sure that exists (or maybe I just hope it does?).

When Smoke literally falls on top of Molly while in the midst of a rescue - you can't help but know they are going to be together. Molly feels she has had a lifetime of bad luck - and honestly - she has had more than her fair share of it. But she isn't really unlucky - just the victim of a lot of bad things outside of her control.

She and Smoke are definitely an insta-love, insta-relationship kind of couple - but it does make sense in the circumstances. This is definitely a classic Susan Stoker book - romance, sexy-times, drama, and core friendships between both the men and women involved. If you enjoy Susan Stoker - you will definitely love this one.

I received this as an ARC from NetGalley, but these opinions are all my own.

This was just an okay read for me. Susan Stoker's works are becoming too formulaic and usually I don't have problems with it. However this book is just too much "by the numbers" kind of work and that's pretty disappointing to me. I don't really get the chemistry between the H and h, mostly I can't really feel their attraction. I'm still a fan of Susan Stoker, just not this book.

Thanks NetGalley for the advance copy, the view above is all of my own.

Mark “Smoke” Chamberlain goes in to rescue some school girls that have been kidnapped; he has also found an American Molly who was their school teacher and also believes that her bad luck that has happened most of her life is the reason that they were kidnapped in the first place.
Once the rescue is over and she is back she also finds out that her grandparents have been murdered as well. Smoke continues to stay with and to work at finding the people who killed them, he is also wanting to change the idea of her being bad luck. The story moves along at a good pace and is like most of the other books that I have read from this author. I liked the characters and the story was a very good read.

Trusting Molly was my first Susan Stoker book, but it won't be my last.

Mark and his team of Government-sanctioned assassins have been sent into the Nigerian jungle to track down a warlord who has kidnapped a group of young girls, and an American woman, Molly. Mark is the best at what he does, but he doesn't expect Molly, and her determination to survive the situation she has found herself in. Determined to protect her, he takes her home to give her a safe space, only to find himself falling for her.

I really enjoyed this. Mark, and his team (whose stories I would be really interested in going back to read) are the best in the field, but their day job is running a mechanic business. These highly trained soldiers, who are all alpha characters, are also very dedicated to their heroines. Rather than being over-the-top, Mark comes across as a man who wants to help Molly, who sees her strength (instead of viewing her as a victim) and who wants her to be in his life because she chooses to be there. And while the situation Molly finds herself in at the beginning of the book lends itself to her being the 'damsel,' she's really not. She's tough, determined and independent, but she doesn't outright reject Mark's help, which was a nice change.

The writing and pacing of the story was excellent and I was compelled to keep turning the pages to find out what was going to happen next. While there were cameos by characters who already had their own stories, you could read this comfortably on its own (but I suspect you'd be intrigued enough by those characters to pick up their books). I can't wait to continue reading more of Susan Stoker's books.

A quick and easy read from this prolific author. Smoke is a deliciously alpha, ex-military hero out to save some kidnapped school girls when he stumbles upon his heroine in distress. Thankfully, Molly is a pragmatic, level headed character almost too much so given her circumstances. There is some steam and suspense. I particularly loved the car accident scene as I love to emotionally torture the H’s.

“Trusting Molly” continues to tow the line in the new series of Silverstone. Kidnapped and rescued by the special Silverstone crew, Molly has a lot of trauma to get over, and Mark “Smoke” Chamberlin is right in the wings to support Molly in her new rescued life. But coming home to tragic news, and finding herself all alone in the world can be terrifying by any standards. And trying to unmask the domestic danger threatening Molly is even more of a challeng that Smoke is willing to put that threat six feet under to protect the love of his life.

I have not missed one single book of Susan Stoker! From her Badge Of Honor series to Delta Force Heroes series to Seal Of Protection series to Ace Security series, and now the Silverstone series, the plots may be simple and very realistic, but there’s just this charm in her narration that draws me to her books time and again.

There’s no denying the fact that she’s one of my top authors I’m addicted to. Her writing is intense, her characters charismatic, her plots entertaining and her narration are tight and emotionally charged to keep the readers engrossed and enthralled.

So worth the wait! As usual this series is benefitting from an amazing addition. Smoke & Molly are adorable and this story is packed with all the good stuff. The action pulls you in from the first chapter & you hang on tight for the rest of the book. I loved the rollercoaster ride of emotion/suspense this story took me on. I cannot wait for the next one!
