Princess Fuzzypants here: Where is Tucker? When his girl cannot find the kitty, she searches high and low. In the process, she goes outside and meets up with a wide assortment of animals of whom she asks the titular question. She goes further and further afield until she asked whether she checked in her house. Since that is where she started, she scoffs but upon re-entering her home, there she finds Tucker, curled up on a rug.

This is a sweet little story that highlights the universal question of where do cats go when they disappear. Of course, those of us of the feline purrsuasion know all about morphing but for humans it can be quite perplexing. There are cute pictures to accompany the story. As an added bonus there is some very good advice on what do do if your kitty leaves home and some great advice on how to keep your furbaby safe. It is good to educate our humans early in life. It avoids future problems.

"Have You Seen Tucker?" is a cute story about a girl called Mary who is looking for her missing cat, Tucker, and on her search comes across a number of animal friends who point her in new directions. The story is pretty simple and uses a rinse and repeat technique throughout the book, which makes it great for young kids but a little tiring for adults without the enthusiasm of children to counterbalance it; if anyone else has seen "The Game Plan" starring Dwayne Johnson, that scene where the Rock falls asleep as his daughter tells him a story about all the princesses and the colours of their dresses, that's what this storytelling method made me think of. That being said, this could be a pro for parents who are looking for books to soothe their children to sleep.
As for the illustrations, I absolutely loved everything... except the characters' faces, and unfortunately that's a big detail for me. Don't get me wrong, this book has bright colours, great scenery drawings, and the animals are all portrayed really well, but unfortunately the humans just weren't quite right for me.
In the end, this is a sweet and relatively harmless story, and I can imagine children and parents being able to connect together over it.

I loved how this book shows the sneakiness of cats while the main character is looking for the missing cat. I thought it was funny how she goes looking all over the place outside and the cat is sleeping inside. The tips about taking care of a cat and keeping them safe at the end of the book are very helpful.

I really enjoyed this book and thought that the story was great!

It was well written and had some lovely illustrations to really bring the book to life, a lot of effort, time and attention to detail had clearly gone in to them - we both thought they were stunning.

I read it with my daughter and we loved meeting the other animals on the way too - that was actually what my daughter preferred from the story as she loves wildlife and all things outdoors.

It is 4 stars from me for this one – highly recommended

The pictures in this book are likely more interesting to a child reading than the story itself. This is not a story that all children will enjoy though mini cat lovers will fall in love right away!

It is a cute idea but I found it sort of creepy that the animals directed her on her quest for her missing cat. There were also some different animals pheasants, Marmots and chuckars (chukar?). I have only ever seen a pheasant. I did like that there were ideas at the end of what to do if your cat goes missing. None of those things did the girl in the story do interestingly enough. I think I would be to sarcastic reading this book to a child so I don't think its for me. The graphics are nice and go well with the story. 3 stars.

As a cat owner myself, I find this book very helpful and fun! Cats are amazing creatures, and children need to learn how to interact with them early, for everyone's sake. The illustrations are lovely, and I like how it teaches about the other animals and little parts of the natural world—an excellent book.

This book has detailed, delightful graphics that are sure to appeal to all children. It models the love and concern you have for your pet.

Mary has an adorable cat named Tucker who loves to explore and get in trouble. When Tucker is no where to be found, Mary sets off on an adventure to find her handsome black & white cat.

Everywhere she looks she is told that he's not there but the animals she encounters all suggest other places she could look. We are introduced to birds, a squirrel, deer, a pheasant, a marmot, and chuckars. There are great opportunities to discuss not only the animals Mary meets but the places she looks for Tucker.

There are tips at the end of the book on what you can do should your cat be lost. There are also tips on how to be a responsible pet owner. There is also information on the Ontario Feral Cat Project.

Stories of outdoor cats just horrify me. But I guess cats can escape homes if not careful; stuff happens. I had to read the story in hopes that the cat was found. I figure it's a nice reminder to children about what can happen if you aren't careful. I did appreciate the ending of the book with the how to locate a lost cat and being a responsible pet owner. That's the best part of this book! I did enjoy the illustrations, however. Make a good story for any child wanting a cat, Good info Ms. Jeffries!

Thanks for the chance to review this book. I'm hugely attached to my pet cats, and of course, I have gone through the whole "where is [my cat]??" and checked everywhere, calling and searching, only to find them ignoring me while relaxed under the bed or something of that nature. That's pretty much what happens in this book. The girl goes looking for her cat and asks various creatures, they direct her around, she finds Tucker asleep on the rug eventually. At the end of the book, there are two sets of resources: 1) how to be a good pet owner and 2) how to find a lost cat. Thus, I think this book would be pretty neat for a kid who is wanting a pet or maybe has a pet. The illustrations are nice paintings, although the faces on the girl are a bit off putting. Everything else is very nice, including the cute curled up cat picture that made me smile.
