I adored this book! Though I don’t read a ton of romance anymore, I do on occasion like a good romantic comedy and this was just what I like. The main character Gretchen is a strong confident woman, focused on her career, who doesn’t care what people think, on the outside. I loved all the characters, the group of girlfriends was so good. Their interactions had me laughing out loud, it was great! The banter and sarcasm throughout is exactly my taste. I thought the steam level was just right. There was enough heat and enough sexy scenes written that I didn’t feel like we were skipping the good parts or glossing over the sex, but it also didn’t feel like once the characters started it was every page. I have never read any of the other romances in this series but after reading this I definitely want to pick up the others.

Definitely an interesting tale from the beautiful town of Charleston. Quite steamy but I appreciated the witty banter. This isn't normally a book I would pick up but it was pretty good.

I liked this. I enjoyed the inner banter, the friendships, and the chemistry was very good. That being said I feel like if a good editor really took a hack at this it could be so much better. The middle dragged for me. Overall I give it 3 stars. All opinions are my own. Thank you to netgalley for the ARC.

I wasn't feeling this book as much as I thought I would. I really enjoyed the premise, but both characters were a little too tropey for me to be invested in their relationship. I've never enjoyed when a main character has multiple personalities within herself that become audible, i.e. her vagina that she so lovingly personifies as "slutty" and she has a weird "old hag" that tries to talk her out of doing "slutty" things. Also, throwing around the term "whore" to your friends is a bit dated for me and will forever make me cringe. I'm sure there are plenty of readers that this book would appeal to, but I really couldn't get past those few pet peeves.
