I apprecitate the publisher allowing me to read this book. I found this a really interesting read and the characters are quite engaging. it kept me reading until the end. I highly recommend.
Mary tells the story of the mother of Jesus of Nazareth. This novel was a very inspirational read about how Mary said yes to God even though there were dangers that came with it. Therefore, Mary is a very strong woman and a devoted servant to God! This novel is an excellent Christmas story! I recommend this for fans of Angela Hunt, Mesu Andrews, and Jill Eileen Smith!
I loved that this was a historical novel about Mary, Mother of Jesus. The was a beautifully done story and I really enjoyed going through this book.
I really liked this perspective of Mary - a lot of novels don't really talk about her journey and I liked how the author gave the events from her point of view! The writing is well done and I thought the story flowed nicely
I started this book but couldn't complete past a few chapters as they seemed very repetitive. I didn't realise the book was going to be so Mariological and conflicted with my own beliefs. I did like the idea of trying to bring the story of Jesus to life with characters who were 'normal' but found the writing style mediocre and unvaried.
Sadly I decided not to finish reading this book. I usually enjoy fictional stories about people in the Bible, but I felt that the author used too much licence and veered too far from Biblical accounts that i found it upsetting to read. I would not recommend this book to others.
