A quick and fun story to read. Their past is heartbreaking, but can they overcome it to deal with their feelings with a new approach to the future?

As teenagers they faced insurmountable obstacles in their relationship. Parents stepped in and handled it in the best interests of their children. Was it fair to either Faith or Danny? Time will tell as they face a life ahead in the same small town.

I received a free ARC eBook from Net Galley and the publisher in exchange for my honest opinions.

"Sweet Talking Rancher" is the first Kate Pearce book I have read and the 5th in her Millers of Morgan Valley series. This is the story of Danny and Faith; childhood sweethearts who dealt with tragedy and betrayal from the people closest too them. After 17 years apart Faith returns to her hometown to take over her families vet clinic where the secrets of the past are set to come out when she and Danny meet. This is a wonderful story of love, second chances, family and moving past hurt. I absolutely loved this book.

Things I really loved:
- Kate was able to weave an intricate backstory that really pulled at the heartstrings
- Danny's family were lively and fun!
- Loved Faith and Danny and felt that their characters were really well explored: perfectly imperfect and human.
- Descriptions were really great of the area, being a vet and ranching.

Things I didn't enjoy as much:
- The other characters in Danny's family were really tricky to keep straight and I wasn't always sure who was who.

This book was truly wonderful and is a great example of 2nd chance romance. I absolutely loved it and can't wait to read the others in the series!

A really nice entry to the series. I wish the siblings were a bit more involved in the story, but too many characters gets overwhelming, too. I thought the ending was a bit rushed, more so than earlier books, but still fitting to the overall couple. Can't wait for the last one!

Danny Miller and Faith McDonald were once childhood sweethearts but when they were seventeen something happened and they drifted apart. Faith moved away whereas Danny worked for his family farm.
Faith didn’t plan on returning but with her Dad retiring, she is back to help with the family veterinary practice and a scours outbreak has Faith and Danny in close contact, working together. And now they need to figure out a way to work out their past and move forward, together ?
This was a wonderful addition to the Miller series. A little emotional as we come to know what really happened 17 years back. It is a story for forgiveness - forgiving yourself and others so that you can really move forward. I also enjoyed catching up with the characters from the previous books.

Whew, this is an emotinally charged read. Every time I visit Morgan Valley it takes me a bit to reorient myself with the large cast of characters. The reason for Faith's departure and absence form the valley is revealed early on. I thought Faith's parents should have been held much more accountable for the decisions they made, unfairly. Danny begins to find his backbone. His and Faith's relationship is a bit stilted in the book. I can anticipate who will appear in the next book, however. There is one very touching scene when Danny gets emotional after seeing pictures. It's a small town, but there's a,ways lots going on.

The more I read of author Kate Pearce the more I love her. Her books always have a special topic that draws you in & keeps you all in until the end. I really love Danny & Faith, their past relationship was pulled apart by their parents & took 17 years to get them back together. They were definitely meant to be together & their relationship was very combustible, intense & loving even as they couldn’t decide what to do. Their story was one of many young teenagers who got pregnant, but with Faith’s life on the line at the birth of their child everything changed. Parents stepped in & made decisions without consulting either Danny & Faith that set the end of their teenage relationship in motion. This was definitely an emotional roller coaster of a read as Danny & Faith worked to save calves that were dying & also trying to navigate their way through the past & into the future. I definitely recommend this book & the entire set of books that are set in Morgantown. Thank you to the publisher & Net Galley for letting me read this book for an honest review.

Another great addition to the Morgan Valley series. This time it is Danny and Faith's story. As teenagers they were in love but something traumatic happened and they haven't seen each other in seventeen years. Faith left town but has recently returned. Will they be able to lay the past to rest.?

Danny and Faith…a really hard road for two kids…who are now adults. Seventeen years later, they are finally unraveling what had happened all those years ago. Most of the town has taken sides making living tough for Faith. Bit of intrigue, too. Second chances can be sweet.

Faith has to put on a good face to deal with coming back to town, after seventeen years. She and Danny have a back story that really tweaked my heart. It’s not fair that the town rallies around Danny but he truly is a good guy. He and Faith need to work through years of hurt and misunderstandings and the well-meaning actions of their families but their HEA is pretty sweet. Really enjoyed their story.

Wonderful contemporary western style romance. The main characters of Danny and Faith have a past that effects their future. They deserve a second chance but there are many obstacles and people interfering. Faith is a veterinarian and Danny helps run his family’s ranch. They’re is strife, angst, heartache and love. The characters are realistic and so is the storyline.

Kate Pearce brings us another installment of the Millers of Morgan Valley series. It is like visiting with great friends where you get to catch up with everyone and meet new people at the same time. This time it is Danny Miller and the girl left all those years ago. Faith McDonald is back after all these years to help with her dad's business. She soon finds out that small town have long memories and experiences the backlash of her decisions from the past. Danny and Faith must figure out how to go forward from their shared past and if their relationship can be repaired. Secrets and truths come out forcing them to confront the past and their repercussions.

I enjoyed reading about another member of the Miller family. It was also nice catching up with everyone else and I look forward to seeing them again soon. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I would like to thank NetGalley and Kensington Books for this privilege.

Another sibling from the Miller family of Morgan Valey finds his HE. This one is a story about a second chance. After years Faith returns to her hometown. Everything has changed especially her teenage love Danny, just attraction between them is still going strong. Both Danny and Faith are bound with actions from the past and for the first time, they have a chance to sort things out. Interesting story with ok and developed characters. In the story, it is given insight to really see in-depth from both Faith and Danny and to see how action from others has changed their lives. The story showed us that true love never dies.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for NetGalley

This is the fifth book in the Millers of Morgan Valley Ranch series. While technically it can be read as a stand-alone novel, I recommend reading the series just so you get a better feel for the whole Miller family. This one features Danny Miller and his former teenaged love, Faith. When Faith returns home to Morgan Valley for the first time in 17 years, everyone is worried about how it will affect Danny. Danny has never really gotten over Faith but no one really knows what happened to the two that broke them up years ago.
This was an enjoyable story that explored the past hurts of both Danny and Faith and brought their relationship into the present. Plus a whole lot more about cattle health than maybe I needed! A great addition to the Miller family series as well as the Morgan Valley series.

Another update on what the Millers of Morgan Valley are up to. This time it's the Danny. A teen age love returns to Morgan Valley to take over the family vet practice. As the past is not always what one is lead to believe. and well meaning family do not always get it right. Danny and Faith McDonald must face their past to move forward in their lives. And where one small choice/chance can have a big impact on survival. I appreciate how the author brings the real life struggles of ranch/farm life.

Enjoyable and fast paced with characters you'll know from previous Morgan Valley stories. My only complaint is that it ended too abruptly.

I love Kate Pearce's stories about the Millers and this one did not disappoint.

Danny Miller is a nice guy. Everyone likes him. The town knows that his heart was broken when Faith abruptly left town 17 years ago but they don't know the story and Danny has never shared it. So when Faith comes back to town, there is a lot if whispering and talking by everyone but Danny and Faith.

17 years ago, these two had their lives taken over and decisions made for them by their parents that changed everything. They never got the chance to deal with it and their relationship was ended. But now that Faith is back in town can they work through their past and the pain and find true love again?

This was a great book. There were some parts that I struggled with because I just couldn't imagine dealing with what happened to them like that and I felt that some questions were left unanswered. But I really liked this book and I can't wait for the next one.

3.5 stars. I liked the characters but the calf issue seemed to take more of the story than it needed to compared to other big issues like the parental takeover of Faith and Danny's lives when they were teenagers. Plus if Morgan Valley is so small that everyone seems to know each other, Marcus's identity should be pretty easy to figure out. I mean how many kids are there in town and then leave while still a child.

This ARC book was provided by the Publisher and NetGalley and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

I have read several of Kate's books and this one was a great read like all the others. There are a couple of things I would have liked to see different or expanded on but it was still an overall good book. I look forward to reading more in the series since this was my first (although it wasn't necessary to read the others so I didn't feel "lost").

I can't wait for more!

In this installment oh Morgan Valley, Faith and Danny have to overcome 17 year old obstacles to find their happy ever after. The in-depth look at how the actions of others has life altering impact.. This book not only is an enjoyable read, it makes you think about how you would handle events from the respective families involved. As much as I can condem the actions of the parents, as a parent it is understandable. I always enjoy this author and look forward to many more installments in the Morgan Valley saga..

In the eyes of the town folks of Morgan Valley Faith left town never to return and broke Danny's heart. None of them knew the real secret behind the break up, a secret both Danny and Faith carried for years, never knowing they too were victims of manipulation. Seventeen years pass and Faith is back in the Valley to help run her dad's vet clinic. Is this a chance for the two of them to mend fences or are they doomed to be at odds forever.

This is a sweet book and for my money the best of the bunch so far. As always Ms Pearce develops her characters and gives them a story line easy to follow and holds the readers interest. Always nice to catch up with other members of the Valley and this leave the reader waiting for the next book in the series,. Well worth the read.
