The World’s Worst Boyfriend was such a cute read! I found the main character to be very relatable and charismatic. Everyone wants to be treated well in a relationship, and after being stood up for every dinner and event by her boyfriend, she finally realizes that she deserves better than what Fletcher is giving to her. On a whim she enters her boyfriend into a contest for the “World’s Worst Boyfriend” and to her shocking surprise, she wins something she desperately hoped she wouldn’t, a breakup. We later find out that Fletcher is a police officer and has been working day and night on an undercover job starting up his tech company and he has been lying to Saidy to ultimately ensure her safety. With his undercover job and Saidy’s newfound freedom this story is witty and captivating. The story and the characters intertwine so well and keeps this book interesting and fun. The World’s Worst Boyfriend, although a troubling record to hold, makes a great story for modern day dating and I would highly recommend this charming and fast paced book!

Carina Taylor's World's Worst Boyfriend tells the story of a whirlwind romance gone wrong. The reader gets to see what happens when chemistry is trumped by the reality of a busy work/life balance, family, and friends. It is told from the perspective of Saidy and her "World's Worst Boyfriend" Fletcher in turn. The first chapter jumps around in time, which is fine. It isn't terribly off-putting and it seems like the author wanted to create a greater impact with the opening scene. There is another jump back in time when we meet Fletcher, which is a little confusing and I honestly would have preferred this in a prologue. I didn't find myself rooting for Saidy as much as I was supposed to, and for me, that was due to her occasional bouts of petulance. Her choice of friends is wanting, but many of us are guilty of this, so I can overlook that. Overall, the story itself is cute and different, the cover design is appropriate and pleasing, and there is a readership who will enjoy it.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 stars!

This was such a happy surprise of a book! It got my attention from the cover and when I read the description, I thought “why not?”.

After being stood up for a nap, Saidy has had enough. As much as she cares for her boyfriend, Fletcher, he’s too unreliable. So she enters him in a World’s Worst Boyfriend contest only feeling mildly bad about it. She doesn’t expect to win, of course, but then she does. And then he finds out, but there might be things Saidy doesn’t know and it may change everything about their love.

Wow so this book is definitely everything it advertises and more! I did not see some of these twists coming and I haven’t laughed like this in a while!

So no spoilers as always, but starting with Saidy. She is a hilarious narrator, a penchant for being over dramatic and hilarious. She was incredibly empathetic, sweet, smart, and sassy. A huge part of what made this book so fun!

Fletcher’s narration from the beginning of their relationship was the biggest twist and such a game changer for me! I had no idea what I was getting into but it was awesome! I can’t give anything away, but when this book says it has a dash of adventure to it, believe it.

I also really love Fletcher and Saidy from the beginning, it’s funny how bad Fletcher is, but he’s so charming from the start. They have amazing chemistry and you really want to root for them.

I also love that I’ve never quite read a book like this. Where they just fight and the beginning and spend so much time apart, but not apart. It’s almost like a second chance romance, with less tension. It almost feeling like enemies to lovers with the way these two are with each other. It’s fun and a bit unique.

TL;DR: This is a hilarious sweet romance with a fair amount of kick to it! You’ll laugh, be surprised, and have an amazing time!

This was good! I loved that Saidy and Fletcher were already in love which took the story to a different place I was thinking. They work through their problems.

I absolutely loved this book. It is third in a series, of which I haven't read the other two books, but that didn't seem to hold me back at all. It was surprisingly sweet, with a little bit of romance and a tiny touch of action thrown in to keep it interesting. All-in-all, I highly recommend. It's even better than you might be expecting!

I received this book free from NetGalley in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.

The world's worst boyfriend is actually the world's most secretive undercover cop! This book made me laugh (and roll my eyes) and I enjoyed the chapter's from both Saidy and Fletcher's perspectives. A fun, fast read!

Saidy is tired of being stood up, ignored, and doing all of Fletcher's laundry. When she hears about a Worst Boyfriend contest, she decides to enter Fletcher in. But even if he is the worst, she still can't get over him, and he promises that he has his reasons... 🖥️🏆👀
This book was so much fun! I love a good romantic comedy, but this had so much more. I really enjoyed this one and highly recommend it! ⭐⭐⭐⭐

DNF. Unfortunately I couldn't get into this. The opening felt really forced. A nice premise but not for me.

Carina Taylor has become on of my absolute favorite rom-com authors and I’m always so excited when she has a new release!
This romance differed a little from most in that the couple had been together for several months when the book started but it absolutely worked for the story and the romance level was still high!
After meeting Fletcher while he was on his last undercover job I fell in love with his character and was so happy he was getting his own story! He was such a genuinely nice, honest guy with a protective streak a mile wide. He was so clearly not suited for undercover work and I genuinely felt bad for him having to do it! I loved how much he truly cared for Saidy though and the ways he tried his hardest to be there and do things for her.
Saidy was a really fun heroine! And while I really was rooting for her to be patient with Fletcher, I could totally see how everything looked from her point of view (without the knowledge of his job) painting him in an unflattering light. So her frustration with him didn’t bother me like I was worried it might.
The two of them were so cute together and they couldn’t hide the connection anytime they were with one another.
The comedy aspect was perfectly done, providing humor and lots of laughs but never taking it to the unbelievable slapstick just for the sake of it. There was even a little taste of some intrigue and tense situations which added some depth.
Overall this was a fantastic story that I thoroughly enjoyed!

I don’t know really what to say about this book other then almost there.

I didn’t know this was book 3 of series. But I wasn’t a fan of it. The main character Saidy was just so draining. She complained about so much and was just a snooze fest that you couldn’t even sleep on because she was nagging in your ear.

The plot had a lot of holes. And nothing seem to fit. Everything felt forced and did flow.

This book was read thanks to NetGalley

Trying to don't say a lot about the book but more about why you should read it.

This books is the perfect example of why relationships fail and how relationships keep going at the same time.

IF THAT DOESN'T CAUGHT YOUR EYE I DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE WOULD.

Thank you to NetGalley and Carina Taylor for an e-galley of World's Worst Boyfriend.

Horrible relationship meets spy thriller in this laugh out loud rom com. Convinced that her boyfriend is actually the world's worst, Saidy enters him into the contest hosted by her favorite podcast. Fletcher has missed dinner dates, brings over all his dirty laundry, and never answers his phone. What Saidy doesn't know is that Fletcher is under cover to bring down a huge crime syndicate in town.

Will their relationship survive these secrets?

World's Worst Boyfriend is the newest installment in Carina Taylor's Fake It series. This story centers around Saidy, an interior designer, and Fletcher, an undercover cop. Fans of this series will know Fletcher as Johnny from Miss Trailerhood. Just in case you are curious, Fletcher has gotten much better at the undercover gig than he did on his first case in the trailer park.

Fletcher meets Saidy while working undercover on a new case. He knows he shouldn't ask her out, but he just can't let an opportunity to go out with her pass him by. He is able to balance it all for a while, but Saidy reaches her limit of him not being present for her because he is so busy with work and breaks up with Fletcher. To make matters worse, Saidy enters a contest being sponsored by her favorite podcast and she wins. Unfortunately, she wins the award for having the world's worst boyfriend.

Although I am not a supporter of lying to those you love , Fletcher was only doing it to keep Saidy safe. It broke my heart for Fletcher that he couldn't tell Saidy the truth because he was protecting her. I was totally team Fletcher while Saidy was saying all these horrible things about him and doing some pretty mean things. He never stopped loving her and looking out for her.

I think what I most enjoyed in this book was the police action part. This was not your typical rom com book. It checked the rom com boxes with characters with chemistry, witty banter, and comical situations. However, there was action and a bit of suspense wondering how the case Fletcher was working was going to turn out and would he get the bad guy all the while keeping Saidy safe.

You will have to read to find out how their story ends. I would definitely recommend this book to lovers of clean rom coms, but I must warn you that there is some language.

Thank you to the author and Netgalley for a copy of this book. All opinions expressed are entirely my own.

Fletcher is the “World’s Worst Boyfriend,” according to the competition Saidy anonymously entered him in. She is sick of feeling unappreciated and undervalued by him and this “win” pushes her one step further to end their relationship. But Fletcher won’t give up that easily! He says he has good reasons for being so distracted and promises that things will get better soon. Is he worth the wait? And why is he so distracted?

Overall, I give this book 4 stars out of 5. The dynamic between Saidy and Fletch was so cute and sad at the same time. I wasn’t a fan of Saidy’s family...they’re awful and she deserves better from them. I loved the added action, especially when Fletch jumps over a fence...

I highly recommend this book, especially for romcom lovers! Review is up on Instagram now!

Fletcher is the worlds worst boyfriend. Not only does he leave his laundry for Saidy to do, but he’s stood her up on plenty of dates. Saidy’s had enough. What she doesn’t know is Fletcher is an undercover cop who’s trying his best to balance love and work. Fletcher has to figure out a way for Saidy to stay around long enough so he can explain his investigation, but how much longer can she deal with ho. being the world’s worst boyfriend.

I have really conflicted feelings about this book! I was glued to this book, gasping at every plot twist and reveal. But for some reason I felt super distanced from the main characters which made it hard for me to care about their romance. Oddly enough, I was more invested in the plot than the romance, which is super rare for me. I enjoyed this book but I wouldn’t label it a rom-com.

Thank you NetGalley and Carina Taylor for gifting me an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review!
Saidy is FED UP with her boyfriend of four months, Fletcher. What started as a whirlwind romance full of insane chemistry and had her feeling like she’d found the one has quickly turned into a chore. Between dropping off his dirty laundry and dropping their dates without notice, Fletcher is raising every red flag in the book. When Saidly enters Fletcher in a World’s Worst Boyfriend contest and he wins, she knows that she needs to cut her losses and move on. Fletcher has an excuse for his behavior, a good one at that, and he is determined to not let Saidly give up on them.
.
I can imagine it’s not the easiest to write a romance from the POV of a failing relationship, but Carina Taylor did just that! The first few chapters are from Saidly’s POV and I’ll admit, Fletcher sucked. If Saidly was my friend I would’ve been right there with her bestie telling her to move the heck on! But when we start to learn a little more about what is keeping Fletcher distracted, you can’t help but root for him and hope that Saidly gives him another chance. A light and fun read with a hint of suspense and a lot of laughs, don’t pass this one up!

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Carina Taylor for letting me read an eARC of World’s Worst Boyfriend! This book wasn’t on my radar until I saw it on NetGalley and I’m so glad I requested it and got to read it!

World’s Worst Boyfriend 4/5 Stars

I thought this book was a super adorable, super fun read! I really liked Fletcher and Saidy more and more throughout the book, especially when I learned why Fletcher was being so neglectful and as Saidy grew and started standing up for herself! I loved hearing about her interior design business and her grandmother. There was definitely some drama, a meddling friend, and lots of danger, but that made it even more fun! I highly recommend this book when you’re looking for a feel good, light hearted, happily ever after read!

Ok, so I loved this story! It was SO FUN, had great twists and turns that wee unexpected. So manyfunny moments and clever dialogue that was so fun to read and only solidified my goal to now read every other book Carina Taylor has written. This was my second read by this author and it most definitely will not be my last!

Some of my favorite quotes:

"A set of headlights came around the corner and I hurriedly jumped in my car and locked the door. No way was I getting murdered tonight. I had a hair appointment in the morning, and I wouldn’t miss it."

"We sat on the couch and ate pomegranates and pineapples until our tongues were numb, as we watched a regency-era show with an appropriate number of good-looking men in it."

"People grow and change, but what you want is someone who is willing to grow. Because that means they will continually be working to become the best version of themselves."

Also, I loved the epilogue! Such a sweet conclusion to the story! ❤️

Thank you to netgalley for a copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

his was a super fun read surrounding an interior Designer named Saidy and her “worst boyfriend ever” named Fletcher. This book is the 3rd installment in the Fake it Series but can be read as a standalone! (which I did haha). Before I get on to the full review, I’d first like to thank the author and Net Galley for the chance to read and review this book ✨

anyways,, onto the full review! This story was different from a lot of the romcoms I have read in the past and the two main characters started out together. However as the book progressed, dates are missed and Fletcher seems to prioritize his work. Saidy gets fed up with this and enters Fletch into a “worlds worst boyfriend” completion. However the book isn’t just told in Saidy’s point of view, the reader realizes why Fletcher seems to be this way and it’s definitely an interesting surprise 👀 overall this book was a cute, light read and I thoroughly enjoyed it! This story had a ton of laughs and a few twists thrown it! I definitely recommend this book for those in the mood for a quick escape!☀️
