"Wedding in the Pines by Cassidy Carter is a delightful fit for readers who adore lighthearted, emotional second-chance romances, with a strong focus on music, love, and self-discovery, and who will be swept away by the charming small-town setting and the heartwarming tale of rekindled passion and new beginnings."
Such a fun read! Loved this one!
Many thanks to the author, the publisher, and NetGalley for my ARC.
I absolutely LOVED Love on Location, so I knew I had to read Wedding in the Pines. It was so much fun to go back to Cabins in the Pines! I wish it was a real place to visit, because I love the imagery! Sometimes books in the same setting only mention the characters from the first book a couple of times in passing, but I was so glad that we got to really spend some time with all the lovable characters from the first book, including Delaney, Wyatt and all the others who work at Cabins in the Pines. I would love to see another book set here!
I love a good romance and this book is no exception this has a great premise and is cute. Quick easy read great book

Hope works for her father finance company and is charge of this years conference. Hope has her assistant and friend Annie choose and Annie picks Cabins in the Pines. All is going well until Hope runs into her ex almost fiancé Slater. Thrown together at every turn, add in a boss’ wedding and a dash of sass from dad and you have wedding in the pines.
I love and adore @hallmarkchannel movies and books but this one was a moderate book. It was sweet and fluffy which is my favorite hallmark quality but it was missing the romance that is usually found. The “B” characters were quirky and fun. I enjoyed this book but would t read it again.
I received a free copy in exchange for my honest review. All options are my own.

Hope is working hard to make sure her father’s company’s financial conference at Cabins in the Pines is a success. She is thrown off a bit when she encounters Slater, her ex-boyfriend from college working at the resort. Slater, meanwhile, is trying to help make his boss’s wedding perfect. Could this chance meeting be what they both need?
Lovely story with romance, family, friendship, and finding oneself.
You will enjoy this romantic comedy. I recommend this book. Happy Reading!
I received a free copy of this book via NetGalley and the publisher. This is my honest and personal review.
This was a cute book that was very "Hallmark like" - just as the descriptions claimed. Hope & Slater had been in love while in college taking music classes together. Slater had proposed to Hope, but she didn't say "yes" - instead she broke up with him to take care of her dying mother and changed her major to better fit with her dad's investment company. It seems she gave up her life just to make sure that her parents' lives were easier to manage. Slater was heartbroken and never got over losing Hope.
Fast forward several years later when Hope & her father's investment company scheduled their annual retreat at a new place. Hope had no idea that Slater worked there as a manager, but as soon as she saw him, she and Slater were taken back to their college days. Could they start over again and develop the same feelings they had before? Or was too much pain present in their previous breakup?
I found this story a little wishy washy - parts of it were really cute, but then parts of it got on my nerves - would someone REALLY change their major and break up with a boyfriend because she needed to work in her dad's company? And would the father REALLY allow her to do that? I guess I was lucky because my dad would have wanted me to do what made ME happy so I can't really relate to why Hope did it. But it was a cute book overall.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. The opinions stated above are mine without biases.
Wedding in the Pines was such a cute story! I love Hallmark Publishing novels. I am hoping Hallmark makes this book into a movie. The main characters are talented musicians and it's always a plus when there is singing in a movie!
Former sweethearts, Slater and Hope, find each other again. They reconnect and start working on writing a song for his best friend's upcoming wedding. It's really a sweet story and second chances often work out even better because you learn from your mistakes.
Cassidy Carter writes beautifully and this story really makes you feel inspired and hopeful and definitely want to visit a place in the pines!
Thank you to Hallmark Publishing and NetGalley for an advanced readers copy in exchange for an honest review..
Loved this series!! Couldn't wait to read about the wedding and didn't disappoint!! Heartwarming and loved seeing groomzillia!!!
Wedding in the Pines by Cassidy Carter is the second- chance romance story between Slarer and Hope. They are college sweethearts who got separated due to some circumstances and meet again by chance at a place, for which Slater is the manager. Both of them try to work through their feelings and desires to understand what it is that they truly want. And the place they meet in, Pines Executive Resort, has been tastefully described throughout the book. So much so that the reader wouldn't mind staying there for a few days as well.
I liked the story and how it has been told. The primary and secondary characters were all well- fleshed out people, who are very likable too. My favorite part of the book was the various interactions between the characters. Both the main leads get back to each other slowly through the various events around all these characters. But at times the too many thoughts Slater and Hope had about each other got a bit too tedious for me. And the way Hope reacted, in an important point of time towards the end of the book, didn't seem very plausible to me. Otherwise it was a good read and I am giving 4 stars to the book.
I really enjoyed this second chance romance set at the beautiful, romantic Cabins in the Pines. I liked that this book reunited Hope and Slater with memories of their past, while they practiced to sing and play guitar for Slater's friend's wedding. I liked that the author threw in a controlling father and a client who seemed very much interested in Hope. The conflict really added to the story. I also liked that Slater lived and worked at the Cabins in the Pines but Hope worked for her Father's company and lived in the city. It seemed like everything was against them.
There were many special moments and turns of events in this book that really added to the romantic story. My favorite part of the book was all the wonderful characters and Slater's close knit Cabins in the Pines circle of friends. This is the first book I have read by this author and it definitely will not be my last. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
Use your second chance
Cassidy Carter writes family-centered romances. "Wedding in the Pines" is another book published by Hallmark Publishing. Hope Bergman and Slater Evans meet one another again at the wedding preparations for another couple, Delaney(owner of the Cabin in the Pines Resort) and Wyatt, where Slater is the best man. There are a good number of things that are getting wrong with the preparations. Years ago, in college, Hope and Slatter had been a couple and dreaming of making music together. Now they are neither together nor making music because they broke up. What will they do when they discover that there is still attraction between them? Will the flashbacks to the past help them to reconnect or will they be an obstacle?
This is the second book by Cassidy Carter which I read and I highly recommend it to readers who are looking for an easy read, a feel-good story for vacation and whenever you need one. It is a clean and wholesome romance story with enjoyable and believable characters. Additionally the book includes the Hallmark recipe for "Chicken a la Rose."
The complimentary copy of this book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley free of charge. I was under no obligation to offer a positive review. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Love on Location was one of my favorite Hallmark reads so I was excited to see that a sequel came out. It's like reading a hallmark film, feel-good quick read. I was going in excited to visit Wyatt and Delaney and was a bit annoyed by how Wyatt ended up being a groomzilla, which didn't fit into who he was in book one. It was unnecessary drama that kind of ruined Wyatt and Delaney's connection from the first book. The location however, was just as beautiful as always and it was fun to see that the growth made of the resort has thrived. All in all a nice summer read revisiting old friends.
Thank you Hallmark Publishing and Netgalley for the ebook in exchange for my honest review.
I am starting to become such a huge superfan of Hallmark Publishing books. Quick read that really warms your heart and leaves you with a feel-good feeling in your heart. This book takes you on a ride of Slater and Hope's relationship ups and downs. I feel like I should go back and read the first in this series to get the full picture of what is going on, though. Thank you to NetGalley and Hallmark Publishing for a copy of this audiobook for an honest review.
