Found this rather disjointed and hopping from topic to topic, mood to mood, feel to feel too often and without rhyme nor reason, which made for a strange and at times difficult read, not really entertaining as a result
I'd never heard of Allison Kugel before this book came along. The author writes very candidly about her issues with anxiety which so many can relate to. Her transparency has the ability to help others and its so important but also important to see how its not the only thing in her life. Loved the tid bits about the celebs she interviewed.
This book was an okay read.. I was a bit disappointed as I thought the writing style was boring, it did not manage to engage me at all.
I loved how she valued her integrity. It was nice to follow along her journey. Great read and very inspiring. Very refreshing as well. Highly recommend.
Journaling Fame: A memoir of a life unhinged and on the record is a fantastic read. It's open, very honest and raw. If you love reading about celebrities it's a book you will enjoy. It's not a typical autobiography it feels more like a conversation between two friends who haven't seen each other in a while and are catching up on each other's lives.
Well worth a read and very relatable.
An interesting journey, as Allison paints a realistic picture. One imagines joining in the story whilst reading along, especially if you happen to be a fan of the celebrity you're reading about at the time. The writing may seem choppy to some, it's more like a conversation with a friend. Just deal with it people.
This book left me feeling meh. I don’t really have anything food or bad to say about it. It was hard pressed keeping my attention as many of the people she interviewed were not my cup of tea. It felt as if I was reading a blog more than anything and it didn’t keep my attention.
