This book, originally titled Two Kisses for Maddy is a touching story of a father and his daughter's experiences as they deal with the loss of a wife and mother. I am not exactly the target audience for this book since I'm not a big non-fiction reader, but I found it a surprisingly entertaining and emotional read. It made me cry and laugh at the same time sometimes which I found kind of refreshing. I also found this to be a rather quick read.

Something I really liked was how it didn't talk about religion, but just about the experiences of Logelin dealing with his loss, which was a strong plus for me. I don't hate religion, but it can get kind of heavy, especially when reading about death and this book was a good way to talk about loss without making it heavy.

Though it was done on purpose, as specified by the author in different interviews, I didn't particularly love the amount of cursing used in the story, so discretion is advised if/when shared with younger people. However, this might be something that is interesting for others, so I'm not saying it was bad, I'm just saying I didn't like it personally. No hate to the author at all.

Overall, I would recommend the read. It's emotional, very rough around the edges, and it made me think about life and the people I love. Go tell someone you love that you care about them :)
