The novel begins with Ruth Turner claiming her sister has been missing for over a month. Detective Megan Carpenter’s instincts kick in immediately and when she goes to Ida’s house (Ruth’s sister) in Snow Creek, she finds Ida’s children scared and alone without many modern amenities you would expect in most homes with children. Megan also finds this case may be connected to her and she may need to face secrets of the past. This book was one you won’t put down and will leave you with chills. I highly recommend the book and the author.
