Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing this book in exchange for an honest review.
The cover of this book sucked me in, of course, because what kind of dog lover wouldn't be?! Piglet is such a sweetheart! His zest for life and love despite his disabilities, that he doesn't even know he really has, is so inspiring. As a dog mom of two special needs dogs, I immediately fell in love with Piglet.

The title of the book, Piglet, is the name of an adorable blind, deaf, pink puppy rescued by Melissa Shapiro's family. The first part of the book is her own personal story, and how she and Rivas began rescuing puppies and dogs.

Piglet, although shy and fearful at first, becomes quite the king of the castle among his nearly dozen brothers and sisters. Health issues and joyful anedotes throughout the book.

Not spectacular writing, but enjoyable summer read for dog lovers.
