A friends to lovers story that will absolutely make you smile. Falling in love with your best friend definitely is not either expected but the anticipation made it so worth it.

This is the second book and I was not disappointed at all in the storyline one bit. The author keeps you going with Tabitha who is now working for and really running her best friends’ campaign for the Senate. Baxter and her continue with the idea of just being friends because of course he is engaged to the devil woman who he does not see that way.
Yet when her true colors do come out Baxter is so shocked and surprised it made me wonder at times why was Tabi with him other than she loved him with all of his flaws.
What makes this story good is that Baxter finally comes around and sees what Tabi did for him in the first book when his fiancé was the one saying she was the one that did it. We as readers or at least me thought he was nuts for how did she get that soup that was Tabi’s grandmother’s and he not know the taste. Anyway, a good story with surprise, deception, let down by his best friend, and love, everything you want in a story a good ending. I received this book from Netgalley.com I gave it 5 stars.
