Review:
I was in such a huge book slump before this book and I think that really impacted me. Normally I read Jens book asap and finish it within hours, but it took me a couple of days to get through. Despite my reading slump I really enjoyed this book. It is a good conclusion for the serie.
What is this book about:
This book takes off right where the last one ended. Trinity is still struggling with that happened and is still healing. She can't believe what she is seeing, she isn't sure if her poor eyes are playing a trick on her or if it's really zayne that's standing in front of her. But it's not completely the same Zanye she knew. Something is different about him. She isn't sure whether or not that's a good thing.
There are other things that still require her focus, Gabriel is still determined to wreck havoc on man kind.
Will Trinity and her friends be able to stop him and save mankind or will mankind finaly meet its maker....
What did I like/love:
I know this is Zaynes book but I still loved Roth so much. I wish he and Layla where in it more but I know that probably wasn't very realistic of me haha.
I grew to like Trinity more, she sadly isn't my favorite of jens heroines but I like her just fine. In book one and two she annoyed me a bit but she got better.
I liked Zayne as well, he is no Roth but still I liked him. He really shines better without standing in Roths shadow.
Overall I enjoyed this book allot.
What did I dislike/hate:

🌠🌠Phenomenal!
This book picks up right where Rage and Ruin left off. !!!!Do NOT read this book if you have not read the first two!!!!
Anyways....What a ride!!!! I can't believe this series is over. I loved every page, every word, every single second. I could NOT put this book down. I am so so happy with the conclusion of Trinity and Zayne's story.
Wardens, Demons and Angels..oh my! This book was full of action, romance and humor. Zayne, Trinity, Roth, Layla, Cayman, Dez, Danika...all these characters are fantastic. I am going to miss them all so much.
Grace and Glory was everything I wanted. The perfect conclusion.
Thrilling and action packed! My heart...my poor heart...was put through the ringer..and I LOVED every second.
I freaking adore Zayne. **Constellation Zayne**❤❤
I cried with the whole Zayne thing..ya know? (Only if you read Rage & Ruin..READ IT!) And this book..gahh....so freaking satisfying! I loved seeing Trinity and Zayne together after....that unspeakable thing that happened at the end of book 2. Soooooo much sweetness..and sexy times. Yay!
Anywhos..we see Lucifer and Grim. I love Grim! So awesome...I want more of him. and Peanut...oh my goodness! Just wait till you find out his secret.❤
I have questions...lots of questions.
What Lucifer did topside??..fun times..bow chicka bow wow.. Spinoff series???---I'm thinking heck yeah!
I can't wait to see what's next for this world!
In the meantime, check out JLA's other awesome books....you will have so many book boyfriends *Daemon, Luc, Aiden, Seth, Casteel, Caden, Cam and MORE!* JLA creates the perfect guys...*sighs*

I did not enjoy this book. The book kind of dragged and I felt there was a lot of filler until almost the end. I thought a lot of the dialogue was a little silly and I din't enjoy the romance as much.
To this day, I still cannot completely define my feelings over Grace and Glory. I am first of all heartbroken over the fact that this is the last we’ll have of Zayne, who is in my top 3 of JLA book boyfriends. And he did not disappoint in this book. He was just as wonderful and perfect and absolutely marvelous as you would think given his previous books. We get to see so many different sides of him in G&G and that was wonderful to read. He is truly the most swoon-worthy character.
Trinity was as badass and wonderful as always, and will forever remain one of my favorite heroines in fiction.
The relationship of these two goes through a lot but it is truly stronger than ever, and to read them in that setting was so fulfilling and rewarding after the last book.
This book had twists that literally came out of nowhere and I am still not exactly sure how I feel about that, it also had amazing character development for certain characters we had only seen the surface of. And of course, we get a lot more of Layla, Roth and Cayman, who were as fantastic as always. As for “the boss”, I have to say he was everything I wanted and more, and I couldn’t help but fall in love with the guy, too. Though I do have to say I miss the previous version of him that we saw in TDE, because the female boss was badass and hilarious.
Unfortunately, not everything was amazing, I was truly disappointed that we didn’t get to see two characters I’d been wanting to see since the first book, and there was this plot-line that made absolutely no sense, was treated as this mystery that was the most obvious predictable thing one could read and was dragged out infinitely in a way you definitely don’t want the last book in a series to do. Then there’s the fact of the plot twist I mentioned where I sometimes think it’s the most genius thing and sometimes the complete opposite. And I also felt at a certain point there was an annoying amount of “telling” in a scene I absolutely wanted to be “shown”, even if later on I understood the reason of that.
Even with all that, I enjoyed this book and I do truly believe it was a good ending for the couple, worthy of the awesomeness their characters are, and rewarding for both of them and the deep epic love they share. Zayne and Trinity will always be couple-goals and I already miss them so much.
Grace and Glory is the last book in the harbinger series and as usual the author Jennifer L Armentrout did not disappoint.
This book picked up from the huge cliff hanger that Rage and Ruin left us with and what a twist and turn of events that was. Zayne was back and he was different, but how? I won't spoil it so if you want the answers this book is a must read.
With Zayne being different it bought different changes to his character, for me he seemed less coy and more outspoken. Trinity and Zayne's relationship, was as beautiful as ever but also got a little more steamy once Zayne had returned which I loved and may have swooned at. Zayne is a favourite of mine after all.
As usual with Jennifer, this book is full of twists and that I never expect and it does not disappoint. Roth and Layla are successful in getting help to defeat the harbinger and with that we get introduced to Lucifer and he was such a fantastic addition to the series, I couldn't help but love the character he was a great fun addition who may be slightly addicted to Supernatural, the TV show.
This book was wrapped up so well, I am happy with how the book ended. I hate having to say goodbye to these amazingly well written characters but I know I will definitely be re-reading over and over so I get to enjoy the amazing series again.
back at it again with the final conclusion to Trin and Zayne’s adventures and story. This is the conclusion to the Harbinger series, a spinoff from the Dark Elements.

We left off in Rage and Ruin with Trinity losing Zayne. Grief is what I felt and I’m sure what many others have felt when we had to wait an entire year to see how it came to this finale.
When I got my hands on this, you bet that I was happy to hear that he was back. But... was he really back? He’s not as what we remember. He’s definitely not what Trinity remembers either. The question remains as to whether Trin will get him back and if she will stop the world from falling into apocalyptic means by defeating the Harbinger.
I am so sad to see such a series end. Jen always knows how to go out with a bang and I am just so upset that we won’t get to see where Trin and Zayne end up after this.
I absolutely love their story and I love that this is a character that many would be able to relate too. Trin is absolutely one of the strongest people that I have come across my worlds and to that end, I absolutely have a love/hate relationship with Jen for taking away this series. The amount of energy and love that come from these two allow me to set aside the series and see what else Jen has in store for the book world.
I received an ARC in change of an honest review!
Wow just wow
I wasn't ready at all to read the last book in this world, especially after Rage and Ruin, that book kind of broke me with the ending, but still when I started reading I wasn't expecting this plot at all. (I should have known, after reading jenn's books I should have known)
The twits in the story are unimaginable, the story becomes a rollercoaster of emotions where you will be happy in a second, and in the next chapter your will be screaming "no no no that's not possible"
The characters have a good development, and also we can see some characters from the previous series Dark Elements.
This book has the perfect combination, hot dudes, amazing plot twists, unforgettable characters, and epics battles!
Definitely a book that everyone should read!
I don’t even know where to start with this one: it’s no secret that Jen’s Harbinger series is one of my all-time favorites. Add the knock-you-on-your-ass ending of Rage and Ruin on top of that, and you can imagine my excitement upon receiving this particular ARC a couple of weeks ago. I read the entire thing in less than forty-eight hours, and while I’m sad, this is the last book in the series; it was the perfect ending to an equally perfect series.
We dive into the story right after the events of Rage and Ruin, so if you have not read that one – abort mission. This review contains spoilers for the first two books in the series. After battling the Harbinger, losing her protector in the process, and having him show up days later and with white, feathery wings, no less, Trinity, in a manner of speaking, finds herself alone behind enemy lines. Turns out, fallen angels come with their own brand-new set of complications. Torn between her heart and the painful realization that there might be no fixing this, Trin prepares herself for more than one battle.
Two chapters in, I was completely hooked and already bawling my eyes out. I’m not usually big on tears while reading, but this one got me from the get-go and didn’t let up until the very last page. I literally couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. As for the characters: I bonded with Trinity the second I met her, and I continued to cry, laugh, hope, and fight with her through every chapter in this final installment. Our badass, amazing, doesn’t-take-shit-from-anyone Trueborn really steps up to the plate in this one, navigating her heart, her duty, and facing every challenge thrown at her head-on. There are no words to describe how much I adore her character.
Given the circumstances, we see an entirely different and somewhat darker side to Zayne; deep-down, his invariably good nature, however, never wavers. He’s come a long way from the Dark Elements series and, confronted with the repercussions of his new powers, continues to evolve and grow as a character. He’s not perfect in any sense of the word, but I love him all the more for it. There’s not much I can say about Zayne and Trin’s relationship without giving away too much, except that it’s everything you could possibly want. If you’re not already head over heels in love with those two, you will be after this one. The two of them fighting for each other, and their happily-ever-after is complete and utter perfection.
Overall the plot is well-paced, laced with action, heartbreak, angst, and romance, and packed with twists and turns around every corner. Throw beloved characters such as Bambi, Peanut, Cayman, Roth, and Layla, as well as new, weird residents of hell into the mix, and we have a flawless conclusion to a mind-blowing series.
Pro-tip: bring tissues.
So good but not as good as I was hoping it would be, it almost dissolved into fanfic by the end. I love Trinity and Zayne but it felt like JLA was firmly in FBAA brain and the characters were slipping out of themselves and into Cas and Poppy. I find this happens a lot between her books and it makes the characters less real for me when they all have the same quirks
"The Glory was nothing compared to your love." The finale of the Harbinger series is more epic than I'd ever hoped it would be! This book starts off with a bang and keeps you coming back for more! It's filled with Action, Romance, and lots of laughs, as Jen writes it oh so well. All of the characters you love so much are back and better than ever, with some new ones thrown in there to add to the mix 😜 Trinity goes through so much and she is one of my favorite characters. I'm so sad to be leaving one of my favorite series ever and all the characters that are in it.... I can't think about the fact that there won't be more too much or I'll cry 😭😅 You do not want to miss this epic conclusion to this incredible series! Read this amazing series (and the original series that comes before it, The Dark Elements) as soon as you can!
I didn’t think I could love this series any more than I already do, but WOW. This was my favorite book of the trilogy.
Seriously, ZAYNE. Zayne is on fire in this book. That pool scene!?! *whew* I was not prepared.
Really, I loved this book. After what Jennifer did to us at the end of Rage and Ruin (my emotions!), this was the conclusion I needed! There is so much to love in this book, but the angsty romance between Trinity and Zayne is really where it’s at. I was on the edge of my seat multiple times over Zayne and what Trinity had to decide. I also loved the soft moments with them so much in this.
The pacing was fantastic and there were so many twists I was not expecting, nor prepared for! I love how all of the major characters from this trilogy and The Dark Elements played important roles in the story and got lots of page time. I want to say so much, but all of the great things about this book are spoilery, so I’ll just say: read this series!
I’m also more than a little intrigued about Lucifer 🤔 Spin off series in the future??? 😬 pls
Since I binge read Storm & Fury back in February 2019 I’ve been head over heels for Trinity and Zayne. I liked Zayne well enough in the Dark Elements, but in the Harbringer series he’s really forced his way into my heart.
So I was of course nervous to dive into the final installment in this trilogy, partly because of what might happen and partly because I didn’t want it to be over. But of course, as usual, JLA has really done her characters justice.
I don’t want to go super into detail because this is book 3 and don’t want to spoil (but also because I’m still processing and need to re-read…maybe the whole series again because I love it), so let me just tell you a few things:
- I love these characters so much and their GROWTH… *sobs*
- Trinity and Zayne are a top tier YA couple and I am rooting for them forever
- Even though I wanted this book to last forever so it wouldn’t be over, I couldn’t help but fly through because it was so good
- May I repeat that Trinity and Zayne are *chef’s kiss*??
Overall, the plot continues to be enticing, the writing is JLA’s usual addictive quality, the characters are top notch, and the romance is everything I could want. So basically, if you’ve been on the fence about this final installment, I definitely recommend reading! And if you’ve somehow stumbled upon this review without starting the series yet, I say DO IT. Even if you haven’t read the Dark Elements yet (because I personally like this series a little more anyway…) do it! :)
What an epic conclusion to this series. Zayne and Trin and Roth. So satisfying! The left book left me so emotionally drained I was thrilled with the roller coaster of emotions this final book evoked and the ending…. Holy cow! Loved!! Must read!! But only if you’ve read the prior to books first!
Holy angels and demons! This was a PHENOMENAL ending to this great series!! It was chock full of heartache, angst, love, witty banter, and ALL the feels! Jen truly knows how to make a reader FEEL while reading her books.
I loved the characters as usual. I always love when Roth comes into play, and seeing Layla and Cayman. I also love that Jen doesn't cure Trin's RP via angelic means. She totes could have, but it makes Trin more "real" and still shows how badass she is, even when dealing with her retinitis pigmentosa.
There are tons of twists and reveals, even some I didn't see coming. Jen left the door open for more novels in this world and I hope to see them come into fruition. Though, I hope they trend more in the new adult genre.
All in all, this was a great conclusion to the series. Thanks Jen for the copy. This is my honest review.
I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
“There was still hope. He was alive. It wasn’t too late.”
Grace and Glory was a fantastic ending to an amazing series & I loved every moment of it.
I’ve been trying to write this review for a few while now but I just can’t find the words to articulate just how much I loved this book.
I loved Zayne when I first read The Dark Elements series years ago (although I was still a Roth fan all the way) & I was so excited that we got see more of him in The Harbinger series.
I loved the relationship between Zayne and Trinity. They had so much chemistry and fit so well together.
Trinity is one of my all time favourite protagonist & I’ve loved getting to see her character develop over the course of the three books.
Rage and Ruin left me with so many questions - and a LOT of suspense - and I'm so pleased to say that Grace and Glory was a perfect way to wrap up this series.
Believe me when I say this book was fantastic and had me hooked till the very end.
Grace and Glory was a stunning conclusion to The Harbinger Series! With tears, laughter, friendship and love splashed across the pages, this book was such a huge win! If you’re a fan of Jennifer L Armentrout or paranormal stories then you definitely need this series in your life!
“You can’t just be anger and hatred. That can’t be all that you are. You didn’t just start existing the moment you landed in the park. You had an entire life. You are kind and good and fair. You love. You grieve. You—”
“I am none of those things!” he roared, wings snapping out and spreading wide.
Zayne was back and alive, but not the same. He was fallen. So when he threatened Trinity, my heart was in my throat not knowing how this was going to be fixed. I desperately needed Zayne and Trinity back together. Not only did it feel as though the whole world was falling apart around them, but I desperately wanted them to get their HEA. With obstacles along the way, and even Lucifer coming topside, this book kept me glued to the pages!
This was him. It was his skin against my palms, and it was warm, no longer cool to the touch, his breath coasting over my cheek. It was him holding me.
It was Zayne.
Zayne will forever be one of my favorite book boyfriends. But he had so much anger and hatred when he came back. And while I should hate him for how he treated Trinity, there’s a huge but. Even while Zayne didn’t seem like himself, their physical need for each other was still there. Some of the scenes may have felt wrongish, since he was threatening to kill her lol, BUT they were sooooo scorching hot *fans face*. Zayne and Trinity had this love hate thing going on and I have to admit I loved every minute of it.
“You are all I ever wanted, even before I knew what I wanted. It was you. It was always you,” he whispered, voice raw.
The amount of sacrifice and risks they took blew my mind. We watched as Trinity had to have faith in herself and the love she had with Zayne, while she fought for them and the world. She was truly a heroine you could look up to and respect. And Zayne, he fell, it seemed like the greatest of sacrifices. I loved watching them fully embrace who they had both become. Ultimately I kept hoping that their love was powerful enough to conquer all. We all know how much Zayne suffered, even back in The Dark Elements Series. So I had tears at times because I just wanted them back together and happy.
Slowly, I lifted my head to Roth. I’d never been more disappointed in my life.
“They don’t get out much,” he said with a shrug.
“Kittens?” I whispered. “And a baby dragon? Seriously? You brought kittens and a baby dragon as backup? Are they a snack for Bambi?”
The black kitten hissed at me.
Zayne and Trinity thankfully had their friends by their side too. Layla, Roth, Bambi, Cayman and so many Wardens that wove their way into my heart. I loved them all so much. We even got to see a character from The Dark Elements Series, who I shouldn’t have been excited to see but I was lol. Plus Peanut, who I adored! And then there was Lucifer, who we weren’t supposed to like….right?! But he cracked me up and while I wanted more time with him, Lucifer also showed us his horrifically cruel side. It was a hard pill to swallow and left me feeling confused towards him. So make sure you hold on, because this cast of characters will take you on a wild and crazy ride!
“So, I’m told I’m needed to save the world.”
“Yeah,” I said hoarsely.
Lucifer smiled, and I’d never seen anything so beautiful and so equally frightening before. Goose bumps broke out over my f lesh. “Then let’s raise some Hell.”
With twists I didn’t see coming, deals to be bargained, risks that seemed too great and even betrayal, I loved every minute of this story! Grace and Glory owned every part of me! Plus I’m so happy that there was an element left open, so there can be a spinoff down the road. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that someday that will happen!
*I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book, provided by the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.*
Other Favorite Quotes:
“You’re going to wear yourself out.” His lips ghosted across the curve of my jaw, sending a fairly inappropriate shiver dancing over my skin . “And then what, little nephilim? No grace. No daggers. It’ll just be me and you.”
“It’s always been just you and me, Zayne.”
“There’s no way Roth is planning to get Lucifer topside. That would make no sense, right?” Zayne looked at me, and I shrunk as far as I could into the cushion. “Because wouldn’t that jump-start the biblical apocalypse and cause us to have even more problems to deal with?”
“Weeelll,” I repeated. “We’re sort of hoping that God will overlook his presence since we’re trying to save mankind and Heaven, and you know.”
“No. I do not know.” Zayne stared at me.
“I am not worthy of you.”
“That’s the farthest thing from the truth.”
“It’s not. You’re brave and strong. Fearless. You’re intelligent, kind and loyal.” His large hands slid to my hips. “You’re breathtaking.” He kissed my neck , and I shuddered. “I want you, now and always.”
“So, Lucifer did come topside, and good news is he did agree to help. Was actually pretty enthusiastic about it.”
There was a pause and then Nicolai said, “Okay?”
“But we, uh…” My entire body and brain cringed. “We sort of lost Lucifer.”
Zayne’s gaze met mine when I looked up. He nodded as he said, “Agreed. We need to go at him fast and hard.”
“That sounds dirty, Stony,” Roth purred.
I shook my head at the phone.
Starting this book felt a bittersweet as it’s the last book in the Trilogy. The Story picks right up from where Rage and Ruin finished, so you don’t have to wait long to find out what’s going on with Zayne. I did find the first few chapters incredibly slow going, and it took me ages to fully connect with story.
Usually I love literally anything JLA writes but something about this one just felt a bit off. I feel like the beginning of the story when on too long and the end to short – everything was resolved really quickly – I feel like there should have been more of struggle.
I had love/hate thing going on with Lucifer but I think that’s mainly because the only Lucifer that I can imagine is Tom Ellis so yeah. I would have loved more Roth and Layla. The thing that blew my mind most was the Peanut revelation!! 🤯
In a nutshell…
A satisfactory end to the trilogy, but I feel it could have been better, hence the 4 stars.
What a cute ending to the saga!!!
Okay so I think Rage and Ruin was my favorite in the trilogy. But I think this was the perfect place to end the series.
I’m very happy with it.
Jennifer always has the knack to sprinkle humor into her YA paranormal books.
I truly think that that genre is my favorite that she writes.
It’s witty and sweet and fun to read, it might be lacking the steaminess of her new adult and adult novels but the plot always makes up for it and I don’t usually miss the $3X too too much.
Jen’s done it once again, Grace and Glory is the perfect conclusion to her Harbinger AND the Dark Elements series. Zayne and Trin got their happy for now-ever after and I enjoyed every moment it took to get them there!
Armentrout can clearly create a world, invite us into it, destroy everything we believe we know and then rebuild said world and make us fall in love even harder.
Okay so, if you remember at the end of Rage and Ruin our Zayne was gone. Death and gone. We were all devastated, how could she have done this to us?
But in good JLA fashion she wouldn't really take him away from us for long. As we all read Zayne came back, but he is different. And by different I mean he his is no longer Zayne.
Trinity not only has to fight the ultimate war against the Harbinger, but also to bring back Zayne. The Zayne she loves and misses, the Zayne who will actually help her fight this war and maybe possibly if things work out and they don't die at the end, hopefully have a happily ever after with. I mean that is not to much to ask for someone who has gone through all the sh*t she's been through.
These two are meant for each other with every fiber of their being and she is not about to let him be lost!
It takes a bit, but she does get him back and through out the rest of the story they prove to us how powerful love is.
Then we get the little bit of crazy we love from our favorite (at least mine anyway!) demon and half demon couple, Roth and Layla. They have this wonderful idea that might help Trin end this war once and for all, but it's risky (why would anything that Roth does not be?) but they are also running out of options and even though this one is the craziest, it might actually work.
Between fighting for humanity, fighting for another day where she might actually get a happy ending with Zayne and just hoping for a normal life if they win she learns something that to me is kind of really sweet.
I kind of wondered with the previous books if this specific character had more meaning than what we originally believed and I'm happy to say it does. Obviously I can't tell you what it is because it would be a spoiler, but I think you will be happily surprised when you figure out what I'm talking about.
There isn't much I can say without being a spoiler so I'm gonna leave it as it is. Grace and Glory is the perfect conclusion to this amazing story and you will not want to miss every single detail!
This is the final book and I ador it!This one wasn't fast paced with what I have read in the previous one and the way it left us I thought this one was going to be fast.Nope this didn't happen yet I liked the pace in this one!
“You are all I ever wanted, even before I knew what I wanted. It was you. It was always you.”
I feel like this book gave us a lot of answers to some of the questions we have been wondering and quite a few times.Zayne stole my heart for one more time, I freaking loved him.Trinity and Zayne together were good team.I loved them together there are some instense and steamy moments.
Overall, it was such a great series!
