An action-packed vampire romance.

This book started off with a bang and just kept getting better. I enjoyed seeing how Quinn and her life mate, Jet, met and united.

Quinn struggled with being immortal and was on her way from Italy to Canada for therapy when the plane she, along with a group of other immortal women, was on crashed. After the plane crash, Quinn sprang into action to get Jet, the co-pilot of the plane, to safety before the injured, blood hungry immortals got to him and made dinner out of him. Quinn soon learns Jet is her life mate. She didn't know very much about being immortal, much less about life mates. She had a lot to learn and she had to learn fast when she finds out someone from her past is out to get her.

I think this is the most exciting of the Argeneau books. I really enjoyed it.

I have to start by saying I LOVE this series!! This just fell short though. It had tons of moments I couldn't get past. We are 20 books deep into this series so we get to know the rules of life mates pretty well by now. Somehow Quinn is able to keep her mind from being read by older vamps even though she is untrained. Lucien's enforcers make errors that Jet catches. Plus other than a few small name drops we don't really get to spend time with any of her other wonderful characters. I still love the storyline but definitely my least fave in the series.

Jet Lassiter is a human pilot for the Immortals. This story starts out with a plane crashes and the action just keeps up though the whole book. Quinn is a immortal that was traumatized by her turn. She doesn’t want a life mate.

“Well, our little conversation about life mates was pretty telling,” Mary said. “But I would have realized it pretty quick anyway. The way you can’t take your eyes off each other is a very big tell as well.”

Another great adventure in this long time series. Humor is always a staple in a Sands book. A overall super enjoyable book.

3 stars - I liked it

Jet Lassiter is a pilot for Argeneau Inc. When the plane unexpectedly goes down, he finds himself stranded in the woods with multiple injured vampires who are desperate for blood. Only Quinn, the woman he has been lusting after for four years, can help him get safely away.

We originally meet Quinn Peters in The Trouble With Vampires when her sister Patronella found her lifemate. Quinn is quite different from her sister. She hated that she was turned and her life was taken away from her, so in response she refuses to learn anything about her nature and hides away for years with her son. Quinn takes denial to a whole new level and while I can understand that, it also got slightly annoying. She does seek help with a therapist, Mary from Runaway Vampire, which I was glad to see. Therapy was just what she needed to get over the anger at being turned and to get over childhood trauma of her parents' deaths.

Jet was a great hero. He was supportive of Quinn’s desire to seek help and helped her learn to live again. My favorite thing about Jet though was his excitement at being a stepfather to Quinn's son Parker. It was very sweet and made me wish more stepfathers were that way to the kids. I think these two make a good couple because they are both overachievers but they also balance each other out in a way.

Overall, this was a good addition to the series. The altercation with members of the Brass Circle is finally over, I think. I kind of wish we could learn more about the Brass Circle because it sounds like a fascinating enemy group.

Review: This is the 33rd book in the Argeneau series by Lynsay Sands. While there are several overlapping characters in her book, it could be read as an introduction to the series without losing too much of the backstory of Quinn, which we saw in the 29th book.

Quinn Peters, a renowned heart surgeon, was turned against her will 4 years ago by her husband. She’s spent the past four years in hiding, unwilling to accept who she’s become, despite the support of her twin sister Pet and her son. She’s agreed to counseling in an attempt to deal with her new situation, but a deadly plane crash has jeopardized the life and safety of the human pilot, Jet Lassiter. Quinn is determined to save Jet from the vampire blood lust sure to follow after four immortals are badly wounded in the crash and their need for blood to heal.

Quinn is learning more about what she can do, like her super strength and speed. She’s also learned from her shared dreams that Jet is her life mate and he knows far more about immortals than she does. Can they get Jet to safety before the other immortals track him down? Can Quinn accept who she’s become? A fast-paced book with a lot of action and great character development!

What a way to start a book! I've only read a handful of the books in this series, but I find I like them more and more with each one. The best thing is you can read these as standalone.

To me, this one was an exciting read because it immediately starts off with a plane crash and the race through woods to get the human to safety before the injured vampires kill him. It was literally like horror movie start. I loved it!

I wasn't sure how the rest of the book could hold up to that beginning excitement but it really did. I felt this was a pretty fun read and it just makes me want to go back and read all the others in the series.

Wow this one was so good. I feel like there had been a slight decline in the quality of the books but this one was really a return to form if you will. I loved the plot. It was so different from what she had previously written and I loved the call back to previous books. I was super curious about Quinn after Pet's book so it was great to see that she gets a happy ending as well. Also what a character Jet was. The only ding I have on the book was that I found Quinn sometimes to be annoying because of her insistence on pushing Jet away but I felt like it was important to her growth as a character which I really did enjoy. I also loved Mary being more heavily involved because I feel like we haven't seen that much of her since her own story and I honestly forgot that she was a psychologist. I don't know why but I just thought this one was so good and I loved the shared dreams where they got to know each other better. It was just really sweet and cute and Jet and Quinn make a great couple. Overall I give this one 5 stars.

I really enjoyed Jet and Quinn's story. It took a while to get into it because of the backstory and dream state but when you persevere the story really picks up. Glad she is writing the way she used to.

Lynsay Sands' books are with out a doubt one of my guilty pleasures to read. Mile High with a Vampire was the perfect book to snuggle up to for the night. As always, Lynsay Sands knows how to write a romance that will be both satisfying and have enough conflict to keep the story interesting for her readers until the very end. I absolutely adored getting to see some of my favorite characters from previous books pop-up in the storyline without it over dominating that main characters romance in the book.

I am eagerly awaiting for her next book.

Mile High with a Vampire
Jet and Quinn
Lynsay Sands
Jet is a human pilot working for the Argeneau Enterprises. Quinn has recently and unwillingly been turned as a vampire and she’s mighty angry and depressed about it. On this trip to Canada to see a therapist and work out her feelings the plane is bombed. Jet is able to land the plane saving Quinn. But the other vampires in the plane are either not so lucky or have become ravenous for blood to heal their wounds and the human Jet becomes a focus for food for them. Now Quinn needs to save him. There are more twists and turns in the plot as Jet and Quinn work toward falling in love.
Both Quinn and Jet are likable though their sexy parts were not very realistic for me.The plot is interesting with the twists mentioned above. Although it might be able to be read as a standalone I would not recommend doing so. With that proviso I would recommend this book to my patrons.

It is hard to believe that this is the thirty-third book in the Argeneau Series. I've read and enjoyed them all and this one is no exception. Quinn was turned four years ago but considers vampires monsters, so she has refused to learn how to live as one. Jet, a mortal, works as a pilot for Argeneau, Inc. and has been attracted to Quinn for years but didn't realize they were lifemates. When the plane they are in goes down, Quinn and Jet have to run to escape the blood starved vampires that survived the crash. In addition to that, someone is trying to kill Quinn. Enjoyable paranormal suspense with lots of action and romance.

Yes, this is book 33 of this series. Even though I have not read all of the books in this series, I have read a lot of them. And honestly, as long as Lynsay Sands keeps them coming I will probably stay with the series. With each book she manages to not only bring in new characters but also keep tabs with old favorites while still weaving in new and different plots for each new couple. In this latest entry, we have Quinn who is definitely one of the most reluctant vampires we have yet met. She objects to all that she has lost by becoming immortal and has spent years in a virtual fog as she struggles to accept her new life as an immortal. But then she meets Jet who helps her to realize just what her new life could be while some of her immortal friends try to get her to look at her circumstances differently. Overall a great addition to the series, and I definitely look forward to more!

Let me start by saying this is one of my all time favorite series & author and I have read all the books in the series. This book was funny, entertaining with wonderful characters as usual. Jet is pilot for Argeneau Inc (& mortal) & Quinn was a passenger on the flight when it crashed. Quinn ends of saving Jet & during that time they discover they’re life mates. While I loved Jet, Quinn was whiny & annoying through most of the book. I understand she had a lot of tragedy in her life & finally decided to get therapy after being turned four years ago against her will but it was time to accept her fate, move on. Overall it was another amazing book by Lynsay Sands!! *I received an arc from Netgalley and the publisher for an honest review.*

I love the Argeneau series and this one lived up to my expectations. It had a different tone than all the others I've read and kept me interested til the very end. I love how LS has developed this entire series and the newer ones are each different. Sometimes in a series like this they all become the same, but this one had some really funny moments and some serious ones.

This book was very much “ask and you shall receive” for me. I wanted more conflict and a new villain, and I got them both. Although there was instalove which annoys me, there was conflict both from within and an outside force. I really liked that Quinn wasn’t thrilled to become and immortal and even as years passed she still struggled with it. Even though her sister and child are immortal, so she wouldn’t lose her close family, she still struggled with being a Vampire. I wish we got more time dealing with the plane crash. I’m bummed that was so easily resolved. I enjoyed there being tension and danger, even if I did know the HEA was coming in the end. I’m also glad another big bad was introduced. That issue was also pretty easily resolved in this book, but there is a lot of potential for the reappearance. Basically the stakes (pun intended) were raised for the characters in this book, and that has been lacking in the last few stories. I can’t wait to see where we go from here.

Another enjoyable book by Lynsay Sands. When the plane Jet is co-piloting crashes, Quinn must save him before the other immortals on the plane that were injured attack Jet in their bloodlust.

Quinn was turned against her will 4 years ago and hadn't really explored many of her immortal abilities. What I liked about this book is that we see Quinn grow and learn to accept herself as an immortal. In her attempts to save Jet from the other immortals after the plane crash, she learns about her extra strength and speed.

Jet, while human, has been around immortals for many years and so he knows all about their uniqueness. I found it interesting that there were a few things about being immortal that he had to tell Quinn as she was not aware of them.

Jet and Quinn have good chemistry, just like all life-mates, and end up passed out in a few inconvenient spots. I'd recommend this book. I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I love Lynsay Sands books! The past characters show up and the book's main characters have great chemistry.

Lynsay Sands delivers another hit in the thirty-third installment in the Argeneau Series. Quinn Peters has been an immortal for four years and still hasn’t adjusted. Jet Lassiter, a mortal pilot for Argeneau, Inc, has been crushing on her all that time. While they are running from their lives, they realize that they are life mates.

As with other books in the series, previous characters come back to help the new couple solve their dilemma and wake them up after fainting. That part always tickles me. I liked the dynamic between Quinn and Jet. He had patience and caring while helping her deal with her past. And as always, the cast of familiar faces makes the story feel like a homecoming.

I received an ARC copy of this book from the Publisher via Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.

Mile High with a Vampire is the thirty-third book in the Argeneau series by Lynsay Sands. Bringing readers further into her immortal world, Sands is hitting a new stride within the series, simultaneously weaving past plots with new characters and new enemies.

In Mile High with a Vampire, Quinn has been an immortal for four years, but has spent every minute of that time withdrawn and refusing to accept who, and what, she has become. But just when she finally decides to seek help, the plane she's on crashes and Quinn must save herself and the pilot. But getting them to safety reveals one thing about Jet she wasn't expecting: he's her life mate.

Jet has been pining for Quinn ever since he met her four years ago. He never imagined that being a pilot for immortals would lead him to his life mate. Now that he's met her he doesn't want to let her go, but immortals from Quinn's past have other ideas. And Quinn herself isn't so sure. It will be up to Jet and the Argeneaus to convince Quinn to let her past go and embrace both her life mate and her future.

I think Sands writing and story telling is only getting sharper as the world of the immortals expands. We originally meet Quinn in the 29th book of the series, when her twin sister Pet finds her life mate in Santo Notte. We also get part of Quinn's tragic past in that book. Mile High with a Vampire does a fabulous job at building upon that story, adding new elements, and making what was Pet's story into Quinn's. I loved the connections between those two books. And, of course, we see return appearances by many immortals we've met in previous books, including some we haven't seen in a while. There definitely seemed to be more action (and more trouble for the immortals) in this book than others in the series, but Sands executed those scenes well. And of course there was plenty of interaction between the new life mates. Mile High with a Vampire was a fantastic addition to the Argeneau series, with a robust cast of characters, a complex plot, and all the humor readers have come to expect from a Lynsay Sands novel.

Jet was flying five vampires, when something happens and they do a crash landing. Jet was in the military and when he got out, he became a pilot for Argeneau. The other pilot is killed and Jet becomes hunted for his blood. Quinn was a heart surgeon but her husband turned her and her son in immortals. It happened four years ago and Quinn still hasn’t accepted it yet. She is flying to Canada to get help. She’s not injured in the crash and has to get Jet to safety before the others come after them. After going to sleep, they dream together which is a sign of life mates. After they are found by Jet’s boss, they have to figure out who put bombs on the planes and who was targeted.
Really good story. I had trouble a couple of times and had to reread the same paragraph. There is hot sexual tension. A little gross. And a couple of funny parts. Quinn just needs to accept her new life and move on. Jet is the type every woman wants to find.
