Thank you so much to the publisher and NetGalley for the advanced copy of this novella! It was an amazing piece of Mary Kay Andrews writing. Although it was Christmas themed, and I was reading this in May, I just adored this story. Loved the ending and how all of the characters were intertwined. Mary Kay Andrews at her best!

Imagine buying a very old house sight unseen. When you arrive you discover the previous owner left everything. So much to find and discover about the town and the previous owners. It is Christmas time, the time of miracles as many secrets were discovered in this fun read.

While cleaning out the house she finds a santa suit with a letter in the pocket. She sets out to find the author of the letter.

The best part about being a book reviewer is getting to read Christmas books out of season. It infuses joy into a time of year when folks _aren't_ going out of their way to be joyous. This book was nothing short of amazing! I've never read an MKA Christmas book, but definitely want another one! Our protagonists are sweet souls who have overcome some struggles. They're good people finding their footing in this small town...and the town is a character all of its own. I simply won't spoil it for you, but the ending will rip your heart out and make it grow three sizes...just like the Grinch!

Mary Kay Andrews can always be counted on for a great beach read - this time scene is a small town in December. This book left me with a smile.

Ivy Perkins and her dog Punkin are starting over on Four Roses Farm in an old farmhouse that needs a lot of upgrades once she clears the clutter. Ivy meets her real estate agent Ezra Wheeler and their adventures in this rural community are filled with lovely characters, interesting situations and a potential for romance.

A crumpled note to Santa found in the pocket of an beautiful old Santa Suit sets Ivy off on a hunt to find out if the writer's dad ever came home from the war. Along the way she makes friends with many people in the community.

A lovely, warm, cozy story.

This was an enjoyable, quick read. It was a sweet story, with likeable main characters and a strong supporting cast as well. I found myself not being able to put it down as I enjoy a Christmas story no matter what time of year it is! It was well written, with believable dialog, a welcoming down, a loveable dog and a perfect ending.

Thanks to St. Martins Publishing Group for providing me an advance copy of this book; I very much appreciated it!

The Santa Suit is a lovely, heart-warming story about Ivy Perkins, a recent divorcee who moves to an old farmhouse to start over. A feel-good holiday read, the story is filled with wonderful characters, small-town charm, and a sweet romance. I love Mary Kay Andrews’ books and read this endearing story in one sitting.

The characters are great, and I loved learning more about them and their connections to each other. Ivy is a relatable and interesting protagonist with a lot on her plate. Because she bought The Four Roses farmhouse sight unseen, Ivy didn’t realize how many issues her new home had, and as her to-do list grows, it seems as if nothing can go right. On top of that, she has lost her creative mojo, and she is struggling to find inspiration. Starting over is so difficult, especially when everything that can go wrong does, but Ivy’s strength and resilience, as well as the support of new friends, help her through it.

Ivy’s new friends are fantastic, and one friend, in particular, is most helpful. Aaron is the real estate agent who sold her the farmhouse, and he often helps Ivy with repairs and other house-related issues. I like how their relationship grows throughout the story and how kind and helpful Aaron is. He is a good man and a great match for Ivy.

I also love the small-town charm throughout the book. It’s the type of place where everyone seems to know everyone else, and the holiday atmosphere makes it even more charming. Fun community activities and helpful, friendly citizens make Ivy feel at home. Also, as Ivy explores The Four Roses, she learns even more about the town. When Ivy finds a letter in a beautiful Santa suit she finds in her house, she is intrigued and feels compelled to find out more. This part of the story is lovely and connects Ivy even more to the old farmhouse and the town. I feel like Ivy not only learns a ton about the townspeople and the previous owners of her farmhouse, she also learns a lot about herself and what is important to her. In this new environment, Ivy has a chance to redefine her life, and she does just that.

This is a light, quick, and slightly magical story with wonderful characters and positive messages. A story about starting over, finding oneself, and opening up your heart to life, The Santa Suit is an uplifting and heart-warming holiday read. Thanks so much to St. Martin’s Press and Mary Kay Andrews for a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

A cute, Christmassy romance to get you into the Christmas spirit!

Ah this was a sweet, feel good book, which wouldn't be out of place on the Hallmark channel! The best part of The Santa Suit was, without a doubt, Ivy Perkins. Romance is absolutely endearing and so enjoyable to read.

If you fancy getting into some elf pajamas, sipping on some hot chocolate, with Christmas tunes playing in the background, whilst reading a sweet, uplifting story, then give this one a go!

Special thanks to St. Martin’s Griffin and Netgalley for sharing this ARC with me in exchange for an honest review.
