His Billion-Dollar Takeover Temptation is Emmy Grayson’s fiery, scorching and emotional debut novel for Harlequin Presents and it’s fabulous.
Everleigh Bradford had been completely blindsided when her father had announced that he had sold the family winery to Adrian Cabrera. Having lost so much already, the winery has always been the one thing Everleigh has clung to and she simply cannot believe that her father had sold it without even consulting her. Everleigh is not about to let the Spanish billionaire take what’s rightfully hers so easily, but when she confronts him at a glitzy event, she realizes that she hadn’t counted on just how magnetic and handsome Adrian Cabrera was. Adrian might look like he has just walked out of one of her sexiest fantasies, but he makes it clear that when it comes to her family’s winery, he is not remotely interested in negotiating.
Affairs of the heart are strictly off the agenda for Adrian Cabrera. He might have women throwing themselves at him on a regular basis, but having been burnt once before already, Adrian had vowed to keep his heart firmly under lock and key and to not make the same mistake twice and date an employee. Having agreed to buy her family’s winery and to keep Everleigh on as a marketing manager, Adrian is well aware that she is off limits to him, however, resisting temptation proves to be far easier said than done…
As Adrian takes Everleigh off to the beautiful city of Grenada, temperatures soon reach a sizzling crescendo. Adrian and Everleigh quickly find themselves giving into their feelings for one another, but will they find the courage to admit the truth about how they really feel about one another? Or will past mistakes and persistent insecurities end up costing them their last chance at happiness?
Emmy Grayson’s debut Presents novel His Billion-Dollar Takeover Temptation is a steamy, sultry and spellbinding romantic tale so brilliantly written it’s hard to believe that it is a first novel. Emmy Grayson brings the heat, passion and sensuality in His Billion-Dollar Takeover Temptation and has created a smart, resourceful and intelligent heroine in Everleigh and a gorgeous Spanish hero in Adrian readers will simply adore.
A superb debut novel from a fantastic new writer for Harlequin Presents, Emmy Grayson’s His Billion-Dollar Takeover Temptation is going straight to my keeper shelf!
When thunderstorms knock out the power, you can sit in the dark and stare at your phone or you can light a candle or two, pour a glass of wine, and curl up with a romance for some swoony escapism. His Billion-Dollar Takeover Temptation is a good choice for that. I love the setting and the premise. Adrian was a little hard to like at first, but I think part of that was because of the contrast with Everleigh's innocence He did grow on me, and the further into the story I got, the more I wanted this couple to get their HEA. They do have some issues to work through, and it's not hard to see where the angst and where that pivotal moment will come from, but all in all, this one was an entertaining romance that was a good choice to while away a rainy evening.
This quick and sexy story was just what I needed. It is well written and I completely enjoyed the story.
It wasn't cheesy like some of the romance I have read lately.
I do highly recommend this one.
I give this 4 out of 5.
Everleigh Bradford loves her family vineyard and hopes to take over from her dad. Sounds like a plan but her father already made a deal with Adrian Cabrera to add Fox wines to his label. When confronted with Adrian of course she is furious. When she finds out why her father is selling out because of his sickness and near bankruptcy she decides to hear what is in the plans. The one plan she didn't figure on was being attracted to Adrian, however he has lots of anger and refuses to allow himself to open up to love to anyone. Emmy Grayson did a fantastic job on her first Harlequin Presents so I won't destroy your enjoyment of this wonderful book. It's a keeper and an author you will want to follow. loved it from page one, and yes it has a wonderful HEA
The format of His Billion-Dollar Takeover Temptation was off-putting--there were lines within chapters to change from scene to scene. I liked the dialogue between the characters and their character development, but the plotting mechanisms are disconcerting.
Everleigh is furious when she learns that Adrian's company is taking over her father's California winery. What she doesn't know is that her father approached Adrian to save the winery from bankruptcy. She travels to Spain with Adrian to work with his marketing team on the merger. The two try to fight their attraction, but it's no use. Still, Adrian is determined to protect his heart—he has no room for love in his life. Can Everleigh change his mind?
I loved these characters and the romantic Spanish setting. The author's writing style is fresh and it drew me into the story. Both the main characters have wounds from the past, but Everleigh has done a better job at coming to terms with loss. Adrian's continued struggle is the main conflict in the novel. I wish the author had done a little more to strengthen the conflict using the boss/employee relationship and the geographic differences between them. Still, it's an enjoyable story—sultry and sexy and immersive—and I look forward to more from this author.
Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.

** I received this as an E-ARC from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for my honest review, Thank you!**
Passionate and heartfelt is how I would describe this book. I really like these two main characters. Their chemistry was well written. I also think part of the reason I enjoyed this book so much is that it had a family aspect to it. The past of these main characters, their families, and the emotions that they were feeling was so incredibly realistic that it was easy to connect to these characters. I even got a little teary-eyed while reading. Overall one of my favorites I think that I've read!
Enjoyable romance. Adrian and Everleigh have their challenges. He is buying her father's winery and she is trying to stop him. She assumes that he is taking advantage of her ill father. She finally finds out that it is her father that reached out to Adrian and that the winery is close to bankruptcy. Lots of mixed emotions but love wins out in the end.
