These stories gave me negative nostalgia for my 20s but also did a very interesting job of helping me see that era through someone else's eyes, seeing that time from the perspective of an Asian Canadian. Really interesting stories. Thought the narrators did a great job keeping dialog and voices fresh.

I really enjoyed this set of short stories. They were all so unique and yet the thread of connection in Lau's writing was well done. There were stronger ones than others, which is to be expected in a short story collection, but overall they were all at the very least entertaining, and others completely left me exploring their meanings further.
