There is a full length review forthcoming on my site, MangaLibrarian.com and on my YouTube Channel! I go in depth on my analysis there.

The most impressive thing about this particular volume is that the translator was able to keep the rap chapter rhyming.

The Way of the Househusband is always funny-- and having those interactions with characters from previous volumes are always appreciated.

However, I feel like the author is running out of things to do.

Perhaps it is time for The way of the Stay at home House Father? (she said, hopefully)

Thank you to Netgalley and Viz for providing this free advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

The charming and fresh humor of the previous four volumes carries over into The Way of the Househusband Vol. 5. It was nice to see more character interactions between Tatsu and Miku, and I especially enjoyed the family hot pot chapter. More character development would be nice to create a deeper sense of investment in the series, but for a fun, low stakes read, this manga is great. I'm looking forward to the next volume.

As always this manga never fails to delight, I would like to see more backstory of the characters in future volumes as the gimmick may be starting to loose its luster.

Thanks to NetGalley & Viz Media for the early copy in exchange for an honest review.

As with the first 4 volumes, this series follows an ex-yakuza member living an ordinary life as a househusband as dramatically as possible.

There's so many moments in these volumes that are just so hilarious. I really enjoyed the rap battle and the poor dude trying to make his bae a chocolate cake for Valentine's Day. I especially love the modern phrases incorporated in here, this is the first time I've ever seen "yeet" written in a book. I love it. Yeet.
