A strange book, but the story kept me interested. It revolves around a small village built by Rasputin on an Alaskan island. There may still be people there, but it is most interesting because as the island warms, bodies are exposed. These are people who died in the great influenza outbreak of 1918. Into this, the Army sends a disgraced scientist to try to find these are figure out a cure/treatment.
Suspend your disbelief as you read some of the strange things that happen. Still, a story that kept me interested to the end.
