Moscow Mules & Murder" by Quinn Avery
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
If you're looking for a cocktail of mystery and fun, "Moscow Mules & Murder" is your perfect blend! Quinn Avery serves up a quirky whodunit with a twist. The characters are as vibrant as a well-mixed drink, each with their own secrets and charm. The plot twists kept me guessing until the last sip, and the humor had me giggling like I'd had one too many mules. A delightful, refreshing read that mixes murder with a dash of laughter. Cheers to this cozy mystery! 🍹🔍
I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide a review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.
Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.
However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x
While I enjoy cozy mysteries, I didn't love this one. But thank you for the opportunity to read and review!
I really loved this book in a new to my series and author. I can't wait to read the next one. The characters and location really add to the plot. This book keeps you guessing until the end
I appreciate the publisher allowing me to read this book. I really enjoyed this one the plot kept me interested until the end which is not easy, and the characters were engaging and believable. I highly recommend this book.
I want to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the ebook. A cute murder mystery Novel. Cute cover.
So I was sucked into this fun little book with just the title alone. I love these little cozy stories and I'll definitely be reading more from the series as it was really enjoyable
This is the first book in a new series featuring Zoey Zastrow. Zoey is working in a tiki bar when while taking out the rubbish, she finds a skull. The story follows her quest to find out who the female is so she can be finally put to rest.
It’s definitely a holiday read perfect to pick up and put down with enough mystery to keep you coming back.
With any easy fun holiday read there are a few must haves and this definitely ticks all those boxes! New holiday type job, tick! Budding ‘hot’ guy romance, tick! Beach location setting, tick! Perfect cocktail recipe, tick!
Having said that, this definitely has enough twists to keep you guessing and wanting to read on! Definitely looking forward to the next book!
Thank you to Netgalley, Quinn Avery, and the publisher for a copy of this E-arc in exchange for an honest review. First off, I love a good cozy mystery- they are a great respite for me when I have been reading to many thrillers. This one was perfect because I love moscow mules (cocktails in general) and reading about murder. I enjoyed the story and it was just a fun cozy mystery. I would recommend this one to any cozy mystery fan. Im looking forward to more books in this series.
Like the book, was archived before i could complete it. I'll probably end up buying the book, it enjoyed the beginning
This was a really cute and creative approach to a cozy mystery. Absolutely loved the less "cutesy" vibe than other cozy mysteries, but somehow it was still very cozy. Huge fan :)
Zoey was not convincing as an amateur sleuth, her decision to go home and sleep after finding the human head instead of calling the police was a clear example. The storyline was okay, but I believe the characters derailed it a bit. Zoey’s character was immature and naive, while Detective Grayson was a letdown.
The first Tiki Trouble Mystery introduces us to Zoey who has moved to Santa Maria Island to reinvent herself. While working as a waitress at Beach Bummers she finds a human skull, and before she can report it to the police it disappears.
Detective Grayson Rivers begins to investigate and Zoey begins searching for answers as well.
As a cozy mystery it succeeds in creating an enjoyable island getaway inhabited by a fun cast of characters, including a canine companion. The mystery and setting were enjoyable, perfect for a light, summer read.
There was romance brewing between Zoey and Grayson, which will be fun to see develop. And if you like recipes in your drink/food themed copies there is a recipe for Quinn's Blueberry Moscow Mule at the end of the book.
Thanks to Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for a copy of Moscow Mules and Murder in exchange for an honest review.
This is the first book that I've read by this author but I'll be looking for me. The storyline had me hooked from the first few pages because I do love Florida beaches and we have a dog too!
The mystery was well-written and I liked the characters personalities. I can't to watch the relationships change over time. This would be a perfect beach read.
I enjoy cozy mysteries when I’ve have a crazy day as a way to mentally unwind without turning to TV. This book is a perfect beach read - interesting characters, simple universe, a mystery without too much at stake. Thank you to the publisher for providing me a free copy in exchange for an honest review. I would absolutely read the next book in the series to find out what develops next for the characters.
I received this book for free for an honest review from netgalley #netgalley
I really sweet fun to see mystery with great characters and great ambiance.
Nice addition to the cozy mystery genre. This is a fast paced story that will keep you entertained until the end. There are quite a few colorful characters that will keep you laughing.
Moscow Mules and Murder was a fun, quirky, lighthearted read! I needed a palette cleanser after finishing a heavy book, and this was perfect! It's a cozy mystery set in a beach town with some mystery and suspense thrown in! A perfect summer read!
This this the first book in a new series and I will definitely read more books about Zoey Zastrow and her antics!
I actually really liked this book which I wasn’t expecting with that ugly cover. Usually my cover judgements are right, but I’m happy I was wrong this time.
The main character, Zoey, has the best personality and I loved, loved, loved that she’s my age. You don’t see a lot of MC’s my age and with Zoey’s childlike personality (which I really related to).
The romance between her and the detective was very cute! The writing style flowed nicely so this was a very easy read.
Enjoyable read. I liked the characters. The story itself was simple and a bit predictable, but enjoyable nonetheless.
