I have lost interest in this book. I will not be reading and reviewing it at this time but may do so in the future.

Could not get into this one unfortunately, it was too out there for me. Interesting concept though.

3.5 stars.

The Best of All Possible Worlds looks into how a race would try to survive or build themselves again after the lost of their home, culture, and people. It mirrors real life in a way. This book, however, focuses on the question in a more scientific method. Seeking out those who possess the most blood quantity and who retain the most of their cultural attributes and practice them. The story doesn't really venture into the most emotional or political paths it could have chosen.

It's a very quiet book and a bit more on the harder sci-fi end, so if you were expecting some grand revelations or scenes of high intensity, this is not a very good match for you. The writing is easy to devour and I enjoyed the subtle but growing relationship Grace built with Dllenakh. This book also has lots of representation but also includes aspects of sexual orientation and gender identity.

A book more about the relationships between the characters than about the plot. That's not meant as a criticism; the writing flows beautifully, creating a fascinating look at the various races from the outside in. A wonderful read.
