Heat and alcohol is rarely a good idea. It’s ideas that set this story off, everyone weighs in on topics that normally wouldn’t cause temperatures to reach the boiling point. A small town in Pennsylvania opinions are rising and drinks are flowing. Add a social media attack. Here is a look at lives brought into the light and opinions that are changed about their neighbors.
The novel is an interesting concept with a poor execution. I just couldn't get into the story, or rather, felt there may not be a story here after all. I love the cover and the concept, but wish there was more to it. Sadly, for me there just wasn't.
Unfortunately, this book and I didn't quite gel and I DNF around 20%. This was no fault of the author, but simply the fault of my brain not being in the right reading space for this book. Because of that, and because what I did read was very good, I'm going to rate this book 5/5.
Thank you to NetGalley and Sunbury Press, Inc., Milford House Press for providing me with an e-arc of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I love to read debuts, as it’s fun to watch a writers career evolve as they publish future works. Unfortunately I was very disappointed with this one - will mot purchase for my collection .
