This was a good book though not with the level of instruction/advice that I thought there’d be. Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for letting me read this book in exchange for a review.

The "Dr." in front of the author name had me fooled, and I expected (and wanted) a science-based approach to battling addiction. Instead, it's a book consisting of a string of anecdotes and hypothetical situations addicts may find themselves in, which was very repetitive, and came off as rambling - no solution was offered.
No, that's not true -- the author's solution is surrendering to God. I skimmed the final fifth or so. It was a waste of my time.

I'm always interested in reading about Alcohol, particularly as I feel I go through periods of drinking a little too much - especially through Covid Lockdown.
I really disliked this book. I found the writing style very difficult, and the tense Dr Nzuzu uses is confusing.
I couldn't get into this book, and I don't think it was very well written.
There are better books on this topic out there. Other books I have read are a lot more engaging and thought-provoking.

Don't bother with this one!
