I grew up reading "Our Daily Bread" with my mom and still remember how easy to follow the devotionals were. This book was much in the same, being very easy to follow and understand. I enjoyed the short reads as I don't have much time in my day to sit down and read long passages. The length enabled me to read them in the morning and start my day off on the right foot.

I quickly glanced through some of the pages which have different versus on them. Then I chose to read it daily like it should be read . This is a book that you can go to every day to read words from the. Bible and get inspiration from them.

Really great daily devotional book filled with a wealth of words of comfort, resilience , wisdom and strength in the Lord. I have always loved Our Daily Bread and this compilation of daily readings exceeds my expectations. Standing on the Promises would make a great gift. Each day is a verse or two of scripture and an accompanying story to go along with it.

This volume has been well laid out to present the reader with daily devotional articles that serve as a reminder for the reader of the comfort that may be found in the faithfulness of God. I also loved the diverse group of authors who shared personal insights as they reflected on the promises presented.
