Tallulah Murray is a college student, a mother, a girl friend and a daughter. All of which is a lot of stress for the 19 year old. All she really wants is to be with her son and live with her mom. Unfortunately, her abrasive boyfriend, Zach, and narcissistic new friend, Scarlett, think only each of them knows whats best for Tallulah. Then one night both Tallulah and Zach disappear. The case becomes cold until 18 mos later, a mystery writer moves with her boyfriend to the area so he can be the new headmaster at the nearby academy. Clues start appearing and the case reopens. I've read several of Lisa Jewell's books recently, and this one is my favorite thus far.

This was exactly the LJ book that I needed. It was fast paced and totally sucked me in until the very last page! More to come later, but definitely keep this one on hour radar for the fall!

The Night She Disappeared by Lisa Jewell Mystery of Tallulah and Ryan's disappearance slowly unravels as the story is told through various viewpoints. Many twists in Tallulah's relationships with Ryan and Scarlett. Didn't see where it was heading until the last chapters. An Intense and gripping thriller.
Thank you to the publisher, author, and NetGalley for the opportunity to preview the book.

Lisa Jewell has quickly become one of my favorite authors in the past few years. However, her newest novel, "The Night She Disappeared," felt like someone has ripped off "Mare of Eastown" with poor character and plot revisions. The story centers around a missing couple who never return to their baby after a night out. A year later a new headmaster and his partner move in and find curious clues that bring the case back to life.
Overall, I felt the book dragged on for the first half... the last half was better but just didn't feel believable. I'd give it 2.5 stars and round up. I'd still read Lisa Jewell in the future because I've enjoyed her in the past, but this wouldn't be the book I'd recommend to folks.

Lisa Jewell does it again with an intriguing, thrilling novel that’ll keep you guessing. I like the multiple POVs and timelines. And it did not end like I thought it would! Jewell did a good job of tying up loose ends and I definitely recommend this book!

Lisa Jewell does it again!!! I was mentally castings book in my mind for the inevitable movie that comes out of it. I enjoyed this book so much. I was so surprised by the ending I completely didn’t see that coming!

I loved everything about The Night She Disappeared. From the alternating viewpoints, to the timeline, to the characters. I was really rooting for Tallulah, and also her mom Kim. And with Sophie, it does make you wonder if people are somewhere for a reason. Brilliant mystery!

Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to preview The Night She Disappeared by Lisa Jewell. Wow - i thought Jewell's novels, The Invisible Girl and The Family Upstairs were very good, but she has done it again. This book is very hard to put down.
Jewell takes the reader on a domestic journey centering on a few interesting women, Kim, who is about 40 years old. She has two children, but she had them young. Tallulah and Ryan. She is a grandmother of Noah. Kim didn't see herself as a grandmother at a young age, but Tallulah at age 19 is a young mother herself. Sophie has just moved to the same village with her new boyfriend who is going to be running a local school. Sophie is an aspiring author of mystery books and she is excited to start a new life.
These worlds collide when Tallulah doesn't come home from her date night and Kim is left to wonder where she is and what has happened to her. Her quest to find her daughter is now her life.
The story goes back and forth with different POV's and with each chapeter the reader gets more information - about the strange girl Tallulah had recently befriended, about Zach (Tallulah's boyfriend) who seems perfect at first glance, at the mansion where Tallulah was last seen, and many more characters that tell the story of the night Tallulah vanished.
This is engrossing, rich with emotions, and will tug at your heart strings - Jewell keeps the pace on point and keeps you turning the pages. 5 stars.

Very addictive summery thriller! I read it super fast, a lot of fun, lot of twists and turn and just an awesome ending. I highly recommend it!

Wow! A heart pounding, page turning, twisting thriller I could not put down. Sucked in from the very first page I kept wanting to see what happened next, and I loved being constantly surprised by the next twist in the story.
Kim is watching her young daughters baby while she and her boyfriend take a rare night out. Only Tallulah and Zach never come home and it seems they’re just vanished, but Kim knows nothing would stop her daughter from coming home to her baby. So where are they and what’s happened?

Excellent! I loved everything about this book and the twists and turns. Honestly, Lisa has such a creative mind and I was ready for this sinister twisted story!!! Highly recommend!

Another thrilling read from Jewell. I have to say that every novel she writes is marvelous. I voraciously flip the pages, and I’m always so sad when it’s over. This was no exception. I read it in one sitting and was the joy of my holiday weekend. The characters. The unraveling of the disappearance and murder- it’s another twisted success.

Thank you NetGalley for providing me the opportunity to read and review The Night She Disappeared prior to its release date!
I have always been a HUGE fan of Lisa Jewell, I do not believe I have missed even one book in her collection! I was super excited to get my hands on The Night She Disappeared and started reading it the second I saw the approval!
I would definitely consider this a slow burn told from multiple perspectives. I was excited to read the chapters that Tallulah narrated and kind of skimmed through Sophie's . All three narrators, Sophie, Kim and Tallulah did a perfect job bringing the story together.
I found myself frustrated early on that I could not figure out what what had actually happened !! Where was Tallulah and Zach?? The ending was perfection in true Lisa Jewell style and I found myself with a major book hangover.
I would highly recommend this book to all Lisa Jewell fans!
