Oh wow this book did not disappoint it was so good I'm glad everything worked out in the end for everyone.
I like how you wove the dementia story in as well and not making it the fall focus of the book but how it is like in real life.Oh wow this book did not disappoint it was so good I'm glad everything worked out in the end for everyone.

This was such a great and enjoyable read. I loved the escape to the Cornish Cottage where the sea meets the sand. What a wonderful place to be.
Fun, warm, cosy and romantic. A beautifully written novel set in the UK and a lovely story to while away a few hours and lose yourself from the world.
Because of problems with my computer and e-reader my I didn't read the book and my copy has expired.
Lovely feel good book to read. It was a joy to read. Lovely characters. Great plot. The book was charming. Very well written. I’d definitely recommend this book
A lovely fun read.
There are lots of stories set in the Cornwall area so it’s important to get details correct and give the reader a sense of being there, among the people of the small town and near the seaside, this story does that.
As the book progresses you get to know all the characters more and start feeling differently about them and how you want everything to end up for them!
A lovely read about family, relationships and responsibilities.
This book reminded me of a warm cozy Lifetime movie. It had love, drama, and conflict. The mother does it diagnosed with Alzheimer's, so I want to put that out there. It was challenging to read at times for me. Overall I loved the relationships the main character had with each side character. It was a delightful read.
Dreams of a Little Cornish Cottage is a story that I went into completely prepared to enjoy myself having read this author’s work before. While the story is good, it’s also a bit jangled in timelines and other small details that I won’t nitpick about. I liked parts of this story, didn’t quite understand the why of other parts of it… and the twists involved here will possibly change your opinion from the beginning of this story to its ending.
Nat is a likable character – when she’s not obsessing about Connor’s good looks or the differences in their ages. She’s also someone I think a lot of women can identify with because she’s had to begin her life over after dumping a cheating husband and seeing her children off to their own lives. When suddenly her empty house, which she wants to trade in for a lovely little cottage in the village, is filled once again with others needing her help… the mom who has taken a fall, the daughter recovering from a break-up, the sister who must drop off her twins for weeks on end while she goes on about her job. And the new renter who is hiding secrets of his own while encouraging Nat to put herself first for a change and go after that cottage she’s dreamed of owning… while enjoying a flirtation or more with him.
I wasn’t expecting the twist of Connor’s secret, at all. And, I’ll admit, that changed my feelings about this story. It’s not horrible simply being outside of my own comfort zone to accepting someone’s truth I guess is the best way to describe my reaction.
Dreams of a Little Cornish Cottage is basically a good story with perhaps a targeted audience. It’s one of those stories where I was entertained while reading but I won’t pick it up for a re-read kind of feeling.
*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*
I loved this book so much, I mean I love most books set in Cornwall, although it did amuse me that the age gap between the two characters is made a a big deal of but it’s 6 years, it’s a bit far fetched but I think I just found it more amusing because of it. Nat is sweet I liked her the most and I enjoyed the twist although a bit predictable it’s a fun read
This was a brilliant read and is being featured on my blog for my quick star reviews feature, which I have created on my blog so I can catch up with all the books I have read and therefore review.

Although I did finish this book I felt the story was far too far-fetched for me to be able to enjoy it. I realise it’s fiction and that truths are often somewhat stretched to either fit the plot line or just make things better. However, there were just too many things in this story being as tightly stretched as my post-lockdown leggings. Even down things to her mother’s dementia and how fast she was seen by a specialist & diagnosed.
It was also a bit icky - I’m not sure what was worse, the whole ‘falling for your sister’s one night stand and secret father to her twin daughters’ or the ‘finding out you have twin daughters so move in to lodge with their Aunt so you can have some contact with them’ thing. Either way, it just put me off, as did the huge fuss that was made over what is ultimately a small age gap between the two characters. 6 years might be big when you’re talking teenagers, but for people in their 30s, like these characters, it’s a drop in the ocean and hardly worth mentioning never mind mentioning numerous times.
Sadly, this book was not for me. Reading some reviews it seems to be a bit of a marmite book.
Dreams of a Little Cornish Cottage
By Nancy Barone
Will Natalie Amore get the new start she truly deserves or will fate step in the very?
A heartwarming and uplifting Cozy romance novel. A story about a divorced woman, who ends up with so many responsibilities. She has no time for her own goals. Well-planned, many twists. I recommend this book.

A lovely story set in my favourite Cornwall, Nat goes from being lonely in her big empty house to having it bursting at the seams with a gorgeous lodger, daughter, nieces and her mother.... be careful what you wish for! Great characters and twists in the storyline make it a perfect beach read and I will be looking our for more books by this author
Taking a break from usual genre of mysteries and thrillers, I found Dreams in a Cottage to be an absolute treat.
Well written, with believable characters that you can picture as members of your family and a mystery brewing that you just have to know the answer to. I found myself so immersed in Nat's family drama that I read this book in one sitting.
I loved every bit of it from start to finish.
Nat has divorced her husband Neil ( who is a local Gp) and ended up living in their big house on her own. To get some money, she gets a lodger and meantime she is preparing to get the house on the market and buy something smaller and cosier. Her sister is a well known chef, who travels a lot and so Nat ends up looking after her nieces longer than she expected. Her mum has a fall, breaks her leg and moves in with Nat. She has 2 daughters, one of them has just broken up with her boyfriend and moves back into family home. Will she sell the house now that most of her family need her and moved back in? It is a lovely book and highly recommend it.
A wonderful book full of love, happiness, loss and bucket loads of hope. When Natalies husband leaves her in their huge house, which I have to say sounds beautiful. She begins to question her life? Finding bills expensive she decides to get a lodger. Enter the gorgeous Irishman, who can do no wrong or so we think. A returning daughter who’s just been dumped and her elderly mother who’s had a fall and needs 24 hour care. In the blink of an eye her empty house becomes rather full. Plus she is looking after her two nieces whilst her sister is away with work. Bring in lots of drama, mystery, a horrible new boss and feelings she thought had shivered up. This book is a must read, loved it
This was my first time reading a book by this author but it definitely won't be my last, I loved her style of writing. A brilliantly written story, touching in parts and a perfect twist or two along the way.
oh what a great great read!!! I wasn't expecting to love this book so much! I was even a bit skeptical at first to read it because the reviews for this book were not so good, but oh I did well not to give them too much attention! It was the first time for me to read a book by Nancy Barone and it will not be the last time for sure!!!! This book was sooo good, so fun to read but also so full of events that you won't expect for a minute! You will be surprised you will see! This is an excellent read and I can only warmly recommend it to you!
