Already Enough is the kind of book I get for everyone in my life experiencing challenges like myself. It’s a beautiful book which challenges you to see yourself in a new light, and have more grace for yourself.

This book was initially difficult for me to start. This is one of those highly personal books that takes a look at trauma and how you can grow from it, and at the time I tried to start it, I was not ready to my comparisons between this book and my life. However, I'm glad I came back to it, because this was such a beautiful and uplifting novel. You learn a lot from the author's story, which was so genuine and heart-wrenching. The Then, you dive in to how to reframe your own stories so that you can remind yourself of how awesome you are! Literally everyone needs to read this book - it's such a great reminder that we aren't what happens to us, but how we react to what happens to us. Do yourself a favor - read this story so that you can reframe and rewrite your own. Loved this!

Lisa Olivera’s book is a smart and helpful guide to moving forward. Her Instagram account is lovely, and this is more than that, Surround yourself with some people like this, even in book form, as a reminder that some level of loss is inevitable, but you can work through any messages that these struggles define you.

I have followed Lisa Olivera for years so when she released a book, I knew I was going to read it and love it. Already Enough is such a beautiful and gentle push towards growth in the form of coming home to yourself. I deeply appreciated the questions and prompts posed throughout the book as well as the “reminder” pages. There was clearly so much intentionality put into this book from the format to the content. If you want to continue the work to accept all that you are, I highly recommend this book.

Already Enough by Lisa Olivera is a beautifully written book all about accepting yourself now. Olivera tells her story of being adopted and of how she struggled with feeling accepted and feeling like she was enough. She then explains how we can come to accept ourselves wherever we are, and she gives numerous actionable ways to do this. I especially appreciated all of her lists of how things might look differently if I were to apply certain ideas to my life, and all the questions that she provides so I can process and journal through these new ideas. One of the many paragraphs I marked talks about how "Change Starts with You, in More Ways Than One." She says," When we have a deeper sense of our worth, our goodness, and our enoughness, we have a greater capacity to see and witness that in others. When we move from a place of wholeness, we believe in change and have more capacity to invoke change, be fierce about what matters to us, and find the fortitude to take action within and outside of ourselves." Olivera's gentle writing feels like a warm hug, and I highly recommend this book. I also recommend checking out her Instagram account, as it is extremely encouraging as well. A very good read. a personal story of self help and growth that is inspiring!! The author goes into her past and how her childhood was difficult but how she grew to accept who she is and all of life and it's trials.

This book. Right. Here. This could not have been a better book for me to read. I am someone who struggles on the daily with self acceptance. My main struggle is my Appearance, worried about what others think before worrying about myself first. Self worth comes hard for me as it does so many people. Lisa guides your through this book, as more of an interactive experience. The questions that are asked that make you realize that you are not alone with your insecurities was a breath of fresh air and truly a transformative experience.

For anybody seeking to better yourself or the world around you, this one is for you. Lisa encourages you to do the work and to be able to help yourself, you realize while reading this that this is what you need to do.

Since reading this, I have added lisa on Instagram and have thouroughkh enjoyed her compassionate posts that help get me through the rough days!

This book was such a generous gift! I loved the premise, was so excited to read, and really thought the execution was so well done, thoughtful and will be helpful to readers who are struggling with letting go of old stories and embracing their full potential. Throughout the book, the author drew on her own personal experience and struggles. She aced the balance of providing enough personal detail, drawing on theories, others' work and her professional experience to provide helpful strategies, and setting boundaries on what she could not help with (and sending people elsewhere, for example to get trauma-informed care). I bookmarked several passages and know that I will return to this book and recommend it to my audience.

This was a beautiful book that leans heavily on narrative theory to help rethink how we write stories and can rewrite our own stories. Will definitely be recommending to friends!

Have you ever struggled with stories that you have told yourself about yourself? Did you ever realize that some of the truths that you live every single day, are not your truths but another that you have accidentally embodied?

In this book Lisa Olivera deconstructs how so may of us today are living stories that are not even our stories in the first place, but stories that others have created and spoken to us that we have ended up embodying and living as if they are our own truths. In living those tales of others, we loose track of our own self worth, and our own acceptance because we lead our lives thinking that we are never enough, or that there is something fundamentally wrong with us, when in reality, the only thing wrong with us (which isn't even wrong, just an aspect that needs a little reframing) are the stories that we hold on too.

Lisa Olivera helps to give tools and questions to reflect upon to help understand our own stories and identify where we are holding onto others opinions and statements about ourselves, and the false narratives that we have created about our own lives, and how we can reframe those thoughts to help improve our overall vision and feelings of our own lives. While sharing aspects of her own struggles with the stories that she had told herself all of her life, and the path she took to help and grow into her own self-acceptance, this book is a must read to anyone who as ever struggle or questions their own self worth, or ever had a hard time accepting who they are, or even identifying who they truly are.

This will certainly be a book I come back to again and again, for changing a narrative that you have held your whole life is certainly a life long journey to change, but with this book and Lisa Olivera's gentle compassion shown through these pages, it is possible, as long as we choose to move through these narratives with grace and compassion towards ourselves in the now, as well as our past selves that have held onto these narratives for so long.

I loved how this felt like an extension of the topics she discusses on her instagram. That was one of the reasons I applied for this arc. She has a way with connecting with her audience and making them feel heard and helping them take action. I walked away from this feeling like I got advice I could really apply to my life. I loved how she tied in her personal experiences or stories so I could trust where she was coming from. The prompts at the end felt like a journal so I wish this was in a copy that had a journal section after each part.

I have been a fan of Olivera’s therapy instagram account for a few years and have always admired the wisdom she has to offer. Needless to say, she offers that same wisdom throughout this book which focuses on self-acceptance and the life story that we tell ourselves often without realizing. I appreciated that she included relevant questions throughout the book that could be used by the reader as journal prompts or just to contemplate. She herself shares more about her own personal story as an adoptee after being abandoned by her biological mother as a baby. While this isn’t the focus of the book, it is clear this is what inspired her book. I really enjoyed reading this and am looking forward to more people being able to get their hands on this. I will definitely be recommending this one!

Already Enough is a thought-provoking book about reframing your past in order to heal from trauma, and move forward into a more positive future. My favorite part of the book is the series of questions posed at the end of every section. Many of them would be great for personal Journal prompts; several could also be used as a starting point in conversation with a therapist, family member or close friend. Lisa Oliveira does not blame others for her past, nor does she advocate that for the reader. Rather, she offers a method of gaining new insight and perspective, so that the reader may accept their past, look at it from a different vantage point and move on from it. I especially liked the sections on Grief, Validation and “Embracing the Mess.” One line I found especially memorable was about “trusting the timing of our healing.” While there is not a lot of new material introduced, the organization of the book gives specific and actionable suggestions to the reader. I highly, highly recommend this book. It's an interactive experience. There are many questions at the end of each chapter, inviting you to participate in your own journey. Inviting you to explore. To dig deeper. To be willing to do the work. To show up for your own life.

It gently guides you through the steps of slowly coming back to yourself. Being who you are meant to be without all the distortion. Give yourself what you need. Creating the version of you that feels most true to you. Reminding you that you get to choose. You always get to choose.
Get this book! It will change your self-acceptance. 5 stars

Five stars. I took 8 pages of notes. The Author's message: Reframe and rewrite your story.
I could relate to Ms. Olivera, she did an excellent job telling her story. It was powerful, and provided the basis for how a horrific childhood could be rewritten, literally to challenge yourself to be the best possible person you can be, given the circumstances and the 'cards' you have been dealt.
The Author did an excellent job, breaking down the steps into bite size pieces; she provided practical, direct ways to examine your life and learn from it. But more imporatantly, use it as a vessel for change.
Each chapter, provided questions, to ask yourself, when journalling.
The Author encourages, "facing the pain" and "be willing to experience the discomfort of growth and change."
"When we give ourselves compassion, the tight knot of negative judgement starts to dissolve, replaced by a feeling of peaceful, conneected acceptance- a sparkling diamond that emerges from the coa
"Try one new thing instead of 10."
"Your feelings are valid. You will feel discomfort."
"Ultimately, to make space for all of who we've been, who we are and all of who we're becoming and unbecoming."
The only suggestion I would make, is I thought the book ended 'well' with this quote but, then the Author goes on to decribe, "how self acceptance shows up in our lives."

I love the focus on our own individual stories. Each short section comes with reflection questions that would make wonderful morning journaling prompts over the course of a month. The language in the book is really easy to relate to making it applicable and actionable.

ALREADY ENOUGH

This book was AMAZING! If I could give it one hundred stars I certainly would. Never before have I come across a book like this. It is seriously addictive--at least for me as this is the first time I have read a book about self discovery and read it several times. It is tempting not to keep reading it because it is packed with questions to ponder over and they are questions once answered to learn so much about myself. Anybody who reads this will benefit from it making it appeal to a wide audience. I got so much out of it and it was a joy to read. If you have ever doubted yourself in anyway then this is the book for you.

Lisa Olivera takes a much deeper dive into whether you always feel like enough. This book blew me away with all of the questions to reflect upon in this part memoir, part collaboration with including the work of many famous Authors that I had heard of and introduced me to others that I really want to explore. Lisa shares her own personal story about being abandoned and found by two people who took her to the hospital because she was just a newborn baby left out in the wild. She shares her story being so generous with the details of what it was like for her to learn she was adopted and not being around any other adopted children. She is a kind and gentle soul that has admitted that feeling like her own birth mother didn't want her then maybe she wasn't enough to be wanted and cared for and celebrated at her birth like we as mothers often feel like the births of our children are the happiest days of our lives.

Lisa Olivera has taken her story and transformed her life into a kind and tender guide as a therapist and now a wonderful Author with so much humbleness. She says right up front that her book might not resonate with its readers and that is okay because she doesn't believe in a book to be a quick fix for we are all always changing and this inner work is a process. She invites her readers to disagree with her because no one book is the be all end all. I found her easy going style so refreshing and I think that I will buy myself a copy because I feel that this is the type of book that I will keep returning to again.

Her reflective questions really did resonate with me and I found that I re-read it three times which I have never done before with any other book. I just never expected to love this as much as I did. One of many favorite quotes from the book is that an emotion has the lifespan of just ninety seconds. What Lisa infers from that theory is it is the stories that are often myths we tell ourselves around that ninety second emotion is what keeps us holding onto it longer. An emotion is just an emotion. A feeling is just a feeling and an experience is just an experience. We all have stories that we have come to believe based on many factors. Some are from our caregivers and what our siblings told us or some are from many other influences such as society and the media.

As a therapist she has also given examples from composite clients whose names have been changed along with many examples of ideas why we keep living the examples of our own individual stories that we hold to be embedded deep within our beliefs. She has taken many works and woven a narrative with more questions than I have ever read before which I found to have so much value in order to challenge these stories we all tell ourselves.

I already knew from Dr. Bruce Lipton's groundbreaking discovery which I find fascinating that between the age of birth until we reach age seven we are like video recorder's soaking up everything we witness in a theta brain wave state. We soak up everything we see, hear and sense from our environments. This can become a life long belief and it doesn't always serve us as we grow and change. Lisa has hope that these sometimes myths that we incorporate as our own stories can be not true but if it serves us we can hold on to them because we are hard wired to accept what is familiar. Human nature tends to lead us to be comfortable with the familiar and with her questions it is possible to re-frame the stories that we carry. She gives us hope with her questions and with her personal story and easy to access numerous collective ideas gleaned from other sources who I admire. This will be a permanent resource until I have memorized it. Again, I can't emphasize enough how universal and timeless this book is and with an open mind and a willingness towards self discovery this could just be the book for everybody. Highly. Highly Recommended!
