this was a wonderfully done scifi novel, the characters were what I was looking for and I really enjoyed how the author wrote the book.

I knew when I requested this that it was the second book, however, a few reviews had confirmed that it stood alone.

I do disagree with this, yes, I’ve enjoyed it but I do feel like I’ve been dumped right in the middle…which of course I have. I’ve not been left utterly baffled like some books where you start in the middle, but I really do feel like I’ve missed a lot.

That said, that was my fault entirely. I have very much enjoyed this book, and I will go and backtrack to the first and next one. It’s a great story, and well written.

I shall definitely be watching out for more from this author.
