Hannah decided to go on a sabbatical to follow a cooking course in Ireland. I love the setting, it sounds idyllic. The descriptions of the surroundings are very vivid so it's easy to imagine yourself there. I loved the talk about cooking. The characters were great. I liked that Hannah showed character development. Her stay in Ireland helped her decide what she wanted with her life. The romance was good and had chemistry. I really enjoyed this book.

Hannah is on her way to a cookery course in Kerry, Ireland, when she meets Conor one night in Dublin. She doesn't think she will see him again, but life has other plans.

Hannah is used to being the best at things, so struggles with being bottom of the class, but makes some great friends along the way.

The setting of the book is great, and makes me want to go and explore Ireland.

My first book by this author was The Little Swiss Ski Chalet. I absolutely loved Mina’s story and was thrilled when I realised that Hannah is Mina’s sister. I was immediately invested and knew that I was going to be in for a treat.
This story gets going very quickly, we are introduced to Hannah and learn a little about her reason for visiting Ireland and then we’re off. I’m becoming a fan of stories which get going quickly, avoiding chapter upon chapter of “will they, won’t they?” Of course, I love most romantic styles, but have recently found satisfaction with this format.
Hannah is very well drawn, and I could imagine meeting her, and finding a new friend. Conor is every bit the ideal leading man for Hannah. He’s mildly arrogant, but that is a protective barrier to help him avoid the wrong kind of interest. He’s as handsome as he is charming, it’s just as well that Hannah isn’t interested in meeting anyone, and he’s sworn off relationships too.
There are some fabulous characters and I loved that they were all perfectly developed, with a few potentials for sequels. In particular, I’d like to follow a story about Aidan and Sorcha, I felt that they had a whole other tale to offer. Perhaps along the lines of the little law practice in Ireland…
This is a book that I simply couldn’t put down. I was drawn right in and loved every moment. If I could pick a high point, it would have to be sea canoeing with Fungie. If you want to know more, there’s a purchase link above, and I know that you’ll enjoy this wonderful escape to the Emerald Isle.

I'm a fan of Julie Caplin's Romantic Escape series. The books are so cozy and I love her descriptions of the different places and the food. The Cozy Cottage in Ireland is just as charming as her other books. I can't wait to read the Scotland one that's coming out next.

Thank you, NetGalley, for the ARC of this book.

The story was quite beautiful and the characters were lovely.
For me, the romance was a bit too quick (in the first pages), but enjoyed reading how it developed.
The writing style was a bit slow.

Julie Caplin has a steady style of writing. If you have read her books before this one will be no surprise. Friendship, romance, love and connection and this is all around food.

When you read a romance novel you already know the ending. So the journey is what is important and Julie Caplin delivered. Her writing is impeccable, she describes her world so cleverly and intricately and she delivers a great cast of characters. I love that we meet and are drawn to characters other than our couple.

In “The Cosy Cottage in Ireland” you will find all of your boxes ticked!

I absolutely adored this book as I hoped I would. It did exactly what the rest of the series does with every book, draws me into a romance, makes me add another place to my travelling wishlist and make me absolutely starving hungry with every page. I loved it.

When straight laced lawyer, Hannah, meets charming Conor at a bar one night things heat up immediately and turn into a hot one night stand. She didn't know that his mom owns the cookery farm that she'll be staying at for the next six weeks while on sabbatical. Conor is a celebrity chef and player who's been burned before by face seeking women and when he sees her there he is furious at her. The cookery is beautiful and you can see and smell all of the spices and scents of farm to table food. Conor's mom is a force of her own and runs a tight ship. When someone starts peeking in Hannah's window at her cottage, Adrienne sends none other than Conor to stay until the culprit is found. He is not any happier than Hannah to be forced into this situation. The other participants are endearing and help make this book a delightful read! The I read this title on Net Galley for an honest review and I loved it!! I would love to see a sequel!

Very chaming little book.

Hannah is a lawyer, she decides she wants to do something different and so signs up for a 6 week cookery course run by one of the most famous chefs in the world.

Hannah stays overnight at a hotel in Dublin and meets Connor, they have a liason and Hannah sneaks out in the morning picks up her car and heads to the cookery course.

Little does Hannah know however that Connor is related to the famous chef and her life is going to become very interesting.

I loved this book, it made me want to pack up and move there myself.

I really loved this book as it has so many of the elements I love in a romance novel.
This one is set near the Ring of Kerry/Dingle Peninsula on the West Coast of Ireland, so picture rural weather beaten coastlines with gorgeous green hills and a local resident dolphin. Hannah is a lawyer (and the sister from the previous books main character) from Manchester and feels like she is stuck in a rut. She decides to head to Ireland to do a famous residential cookery course. On arrival she spends the night in Dublin where a bizarre encounter with a handsome guy called Conor ends up with her sneaking out after a one night stand thinking she'll never see him again. Till it turns out he's a famous TV chef and his mother is the one who runs the cookery course. Hilarious romantic encounters ensue as they try to pretend they don't want each other.
This book is so cute and such a nice light read that will take you to some beautiful places. The writing had me entertained throughout and I really loved the characters. Although predictable at times it still was a fun romance to read and if you love travel/vacation romances you will love this one.
Can't wait till Julie Caplin's next book.

A very sweet will they, won’t they romance. When Hannah decides to shake up her life by enrolling in a 6 week cookery course in rural Ireland she certainly doesn’t expect to fall in love but she quickly finds herself enthralled as much by the country as by the handsome man she meets on day one.

A lovely gentle read.

Having lived in Ireland, missing it, and also loving a good read this was an obvious choice for me. I appreciate the ARC provided by NetGalley.
I truly settled in and enjoyed this story. The dialogue is witty, the story fun, and the characters lovable. This is my first book by Julie Caplin, and I adored the lush and descriptive manner in which she writes. I’ll certainly look for more by her.

Hannah has always been "the good one", raised by her aunt and uncle after her and her sister's impulsive parents died in an accident, her sister then the one who went off and tried and did things. I really liked the clever nod early on to the fact that light romantic books like this are often triggered by a horrible dumping or sad bereavement - in Hannah's case, it's a small-seeming incident with a cake that triggers her to take a six-week sabbatical from her legal job to go and do an advanced cookery course at a famous Irish farm and cookery school ...

A nice, easy, cozy and enjoyable read. In my opinion the main character here is the place the story is set in: Ireland.
The description of the landscapes are wonderful, having been there myself several times, reading the book felt like being there again, what a beautiful journey!
I haven't read the previous book about Hannah's sister Mina, but now I'm very curious since she sounds like a very interesting character, so I'll definitely have a look at it.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is the perfect book for cosying down with as autumn draws in! Set in the beautiful landscapes of Southern Ireland, we follow Hannah on a cookery course on which she learns a lot more than just how to make a hollandaise sauce! I loved the descriptions of the food, setting and relationships that developed throughout and the ending was perfect. A definite autumnal must read! Thanks for this arc in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.

Thanks Netgalley for allowing me to read this book. Hannah decides to travel to Ireland aline to attend a cooking school. Hannah whobis a lawyer has never been known for her cooking skills. While their, she meets Conor. The more time she spends with Conor, the more she likes him. I enjoyed this book.

A chance meeting in a Dublin Hotel suddenly becomes something more.
An interesting take on how people interact with the rich and famous, whilst still managing to be as warm and comfortable as a favourite armchair by the fire on a Winter's evening. As one whose culinary skills is limited to chicken ding and never watches The Great British Bake Off I still found the subject and setting, a cookery course in a small community in Ireland, fascinating and could almost tempt me to try something similar. The setting certainly sounds idyllic, I have visited some of the area and it is very scenic (and wet) as per the description and I'm afraid that I'd be like Hannah trying to follow a recipe whilst not having that magic touch that great chefs have. Overall I can definitely recommend this book to help while away an autumnal evening.
I received an advance copy of this book from the publisher through Netgalley, however this did not influence my review of the book.
