Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

"You should build your wardrobe with things you love, not things you're "supposed" to have."

3.5 stars. This book reads one third fashion advice, one third cute staged pictures, and the last third personal stories. The advice is fairly typical to what you would expect, with some parts becoming a bit repetitive. Advice is usually numbered in easy to read segments. I found the segment on going for a job interview the most helpful and detailed. I was disappointed the author added to wear shapewear at weddings. It seemed off brand for her "be confident, and rock what you want" vibe. The pictures were cute (though probably somewhat less of an impact for my digital black and white copy), but there were more of them than I thought there would be. All were of the author, or the author and her husband. I thought the pictures could have had more of an impact, if there were going to be that many, if they featured a sort of visual style guide, or it would have been amazing to feature a few different kinds of plus sized body types (as there are dozens of different shapes)- with strategies for dressing each type. A sort of "if you are pear shaped, try this; apple shaped try that". All in all, I found the personal stories the most engaging part. I would especially recommend this to late teens, early twenty-something year olds.
