This is the 3rd book in this amazing series and is Hunter and Kate’s story. These two were friend in college and played hockey together, and after one steamy night Hunter left without a word. Now years later Hunter us broken and suffering from PTSD due to a traumatic event, and his NHL has just ended and as he is about to become an unrestricted player, he needs a new agent as his old one has just had a heart attack. Kate is an up-and-coming sports agent, who is caring and has a huge heart, and she is always there for her clients, and when Hunter contacts her she agrees to help him. The chemistry between these two is intense and undeniable, but will they get their 2nd chance at love? This is a beautifully written story which is filled with witty banter, twists, humor, friendships, love, and is an entertaining and steamy read. The contend covers the issue of mental health problems, and this author has weaved this story with sensitivity and compassion. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

I hadn't read the first two books in Kelly Jamieson's Bears Hockey series, but now I need to go back to read them!

Hunter needs a new agent quickly after his current one has a heart attack. He contacts Kate and asks her to help step in so he can get a good contract. She's a new agent, but he knows she will work hard for him. She's also an old college friend he shared one night with a few years ago.

It was interesting seeing their history in college, how it led to the one night they spent together, and why that was all they had. It was obvious from the first time they meet again that the spark between them hadn't completely died. I liked them both individually and seeing how their relationship developed as they got a second chance at an HEA.

They both have pasts, they both have secrets and sadness and they both have futures to fight for and save. From the get go, I was drawn into this story. This story is so full of emotions, friendships, as well as witty banter and steamy scenes. These wonderful broken characters get a second chance at romance and just maybe everything that a HEA can bring.

Hunter Morisette works hard for his position on the New Jersey Storm, now with the season over and becoming an unrestricted free agent at the end of June, he needs his agent to get him a great contract that shows him what he is worth, and so that he can stay somewhere longer than a year. But when his agent has a heart attack at the worst time he must quickly get another agent and the only agent he wants is HER!

Kate Bridges is in her first year as a Sport Agent and has gone out on her own after some difficulties at an agency. But with her hockey knowledge and building her client base she knows it is just a matter of time before her career will take off. Kate leads with her heart, she cares about her clients and coaches them through their difficulties, as well as getting them to understand the teams side to the contracts and negotiations, although sometimes she may be a tad to mothering. But she is thrown for a loop when her old friend from college Hunter calls for her to be his agent.

These two have some crushing history between them, you could call it even sizzling! But with this type of business relationship they will need to not cross the line for both of their careers. Right? Well... you will need to read this to get all the juicy details!

At it’s heart, this is a beautiful, sexy romance with heat, humor, and emotion, It also tackles some hard issues of survivor-hood and PTSD, that was done so well. It was great to see another side of professional hockey. The players contracts and negotiations as well as their feelings regarding trades, and learning and adapting to new team mates as well as coaches. I loved Hunter and Kate’s story but then again, Kelly Jamieson hockey novels are some of my favorites out there!

Hunter is need of a new agent at the end of his season when his current one has a heart attack. His best option? Kate. They went to college together, ran in the same social circle and secretly crushed on each other. She also knows what happened in his past and the events that still haunt him to this day.
Hunter and Kate have great chemistry. They have their past friendship that can be built upon, once they get over the one night the spent together in college. I loved Kate. She cares about her clients, she loves hockey and it shows in every aspect of her life. She isn’t a push over when it comes to her career and she isn’t going to let the male dominated field run all over her. I loved Hunter, too. He is broken and struggling with events of his past. He struggles if he is worth it at times and doesn’t think he can ever truly have a relationship. Him and Kate are truly perfect for each other.
This story does deal with mental health, mainly PTSD when it comes to Hunter. It shows its okay to confide in love ones and it is okay to seek help from a professional.
If you’re looking for a friends to lovers, second chance, hockey romance this is one to check out.

From the first Chicago Aces book I read, Kelly Jamieson is always a must read for me. And let me say, she did not disappoint in this book. While this book was not on ice hockey heavy, I did appreciate that readers were able to see the other side of professional hockey. The business side and contract negotiations side...and the stress. As readers and sports fans we see somewhat of the glamorized side of hockey, not the side where they don’t know where they will actually be living and playing for the next few years of their lives.
Hunter and Kate were college friends. Both played college hockey and their friend groups gew close. It seemed like there was always a series of missed chances for the pair, and an end of college vacation in Mexico brought them together. Fast forward years and Kate is an up and coming sports agent and Hunter is an up and coming hockey star. Hunter, needing an agent, reaches out to Kate. From the get go you can feel like these two cannot just remain friends. I loved, loved, loved their first meeting after college. Also, I ADORED the easy friendship and chemistry these two had. Jameison did an amazing job of showing how the pair were friends first, and later more. Both Hunter and Kate are feisty in their own way and have really amazing chemistry. And as we have come to appreciate in Jamieson’s books there is humor and lots of fun banter….and some quirkiness to her characters.
Readers were able to get a glimpse into the other side of a professional athlete's lives as they not only keep their bodies in tip top shape, but also work to get the best contract for themselves and their long term benefit. It really opened my eyes to how difficult it must be for athletes as their contracts are coming up, impending moves and trades. Along with the close relationships they often have with their teammates.
Like in previous Bears books mental health and the struggle of dealing with a traumatic event were a recurring theme. I really appreciate how she didn’t shy away from these sometimes difficult topics, especially in men. There is often a stigma and how she addressed it and how their families and partners encouraged them to heal and handle the trauma was just as important as the trauma itself, in my opinion.
If you haven’t read any of Kelly Jamieson’s books I HIGHLY recommend all of her books!

Miscommunication puts a damper on this otherwise sweet and sexy sports romance. I've never been a fan of issues that could've been resolved - years ago - with a simple conversation. This couple's history is messier than anticipated, and it felt like they wasted a lot of years for no reason. Second chance fans might find that the storyline works better for them, but there were definitely things that bugged me. That being said, this is another solid hockey romance for this series. I always look forward to this author's light, steamy, and sporty love stories, and this has many of the elements that I love about her work. Hunter and Kate were great together, and it was easy to see their connection. This will read well as a standalone, with only a few references to the previous books in the series.

The story follows Hunter and Kate, two former friends. They went to college together and spent four years in the same circle of friends, crushing on each other without crossing any lines. It wasn't until their senior year that Hunter and Kate were both single at the same time, and that's when their relationship moved forward - if only for one night. Four years later, Hunter is now a hockey player in need of an agent, and Kate is the best option. She knows his history, knows he suffers from PTSD, and their friendship should make everything easier. But that one steamy night is like a giant elephant in the room, and neither one has forgotten what it felt like to be more than friends.

The blurb had me thinking that this was more of a "one night stand comes back into your life" kind of romance, not a friends to lovers romance. Technically speaking, both are true, but there's a whole lot of history between them. The first part of the book is spent rushing through Kate and Hunter's relationship during their four years of college, and the many missed opportunities during that time. There was a lot to cover in a short amount of time, and that's what left me feeling a little disconnected from this one. It all felt surface level. I liked their interactions in present day, and I liked that they had such an obvious connection, I just think that the mess of the past was set aside too easily. That surface level history was also used as the foundation for their present day relationship - we never really find out what they were up to in their time apart. So, while there were a lot of things that I liked about this, I couldn't get into it the way I would've liked. This one sits somewhere between 3 and 4 stars for me; it's still a pretty good book, just not as enjoyable as others I've read by this author. I received an early copy and am voluntarily leaving a review of this sports romance.

LOVE this story of Hunter and Kate. Hunter is an NHL player and Kate a sports agent. This is a second chance romance that had me rooting for both of them from day one! This is a sweet love story about Hunter overcoming anxiety and a deep hurt. Kate overcoming being a woman in a "mans" job and just how much one another's support matters. I laughed and cried and smiled so big! Love this series!

Talk Hockey To Me is book 3 of Kelly Jamieson’s, Bears Hockey series. Normally I do not gravitate towards friends to lovers and/or second chance romances but this book had me at hockey. I love hockey romances- hard.

Maybe because I normally don’t enjoy the first two tropes, I had a hard time getting into this book. The first 20% of it, had me starting, stopping, putting aside and restarting it again. Once I got past that hurdle, I began to enjoy Hunter and Kate’s love story.

Hunter is closed off and aloof but once we understand why he is that way, we fall a little bit in love with him and hope that he can overcome his problems. Kate is an athlete, having played hockey in college, she is now an up and coming sports agent. I love how strong she is.

Circumstances bring them together and together they become friends again and eventually that friendship turns into what they both wanted and needed since forever. If you enjoy friends to lovers/second chance and/or sports romances, Talk Hockey To Me is the perfect afternoon read for you. TBR and Enjoy.

I loved the heroine's job in this book. Being a woman sports agent in a predominantly male field made for an intriguing heroine.

I liked how the author handled her role. She didn't make her a ball buster, which seems to be the default trait for a strong woman. Instead Kate was a smart, sophisticated and level headed business woman.

Kate did have a mothering trait to her but I felt that was a positive to her job. She took care of her clients and they appreciated the attention they got from her.

Hunter was a harder character to get to know at first. Not only for the reader but for Kate as well. He showed a lot of growth as the chapters progressed.

I'm not usually a fan of flashbacks, but in this case It really shed some light into Kate and Hunter's beginning and allowed us to see past the closed off Hunter. I liked that he wasn't the typical jock. He had layers and some of those layers showed a vulnerable man.

The author touched on some delicate matters in this book and I think she did a fantastic job with it.

Hunter is about to be a free agent and he calls is old friend - one night stand- Kate to be her agent. We learn about their history from college and how they keep putting each other in the friend zone until one last trip to Cancun. Kate doesn't know if she can do her job for him as her feeling came back.
This has some great lol monuments, cheering on each other, hockey moments, dogs, and mascots! Really liked these books, and need to go back to read book one. Loved the chemistry of Hunter and Kate, this is a great second chance romance!

Another great hockey romance from Kelly Jamieson.

This is part of a series, but can absolutely be read as a stand alone.

I could not put this book down. I stayed up reading later than I meant to and had to force myself to put it down. Then at work the next day I kept picking it up when I should have been doing other things. I needed to know if Hunter would get the contract he wanted and what would happen between him and Kate.

Great quick, fun and easy read. Just the thing I needed after a hard few days at work.

Hockey romances are my kryptonite. I fell in love with them reading Helena Hunting's books and any time I see a hockey romance, I am all in. Talk Hockey to Me immediately pulled me in and I enjoyed the ride.

Hunter's NHL season has just ended and he's shocked to find out his agent has a heart attack. This comes at the worst possible time, when Hunter is about become an unrestricted free agent. In a clutch, he calls Kate to represent him. The kicker? Kate and Hunter have a shared past, including one steamy night in Cancun during college, when Hunter left the next morning, never to speak to Kate again. What could go wrong in this second chance romance?

I really enjoyed Talk Hockey to Me. It's the third book in a series. I have not read the first two, but this book can definitely be read as a standalone. I did not feel like I missed anything by not reading the previous two books.

Kate's character was an amazing bad ass. She leads with her heart, cares for her clients in a no nonsense way, but also doesn't take crap from anyone, especially in a male dominated field. She makes zero excuses for her clients, but rather coaches them through difficult situations. Kate is definitely who I would want in my corner.

Hunter is a very layered character that can come off as aloof at times. Suffering from PTSD from a traumatic event in his past, Hunter constantly questions his worth. He doesn't think he'll ever be loved and doesn't think relationships will work. He is so beautifully broken and I loved his character.

Because Kate and Hunter have a past friendship from college, their instant chemistry works well. You get glimpses of their complicated relationship, so both of their actions make sense. The two fit together and I loved knowing the details of their backstory, because it made me fall in love with their relationship even more.

Talk Hockey to Me also tackles mental health. It shows Hunter (plus some of his friends) trying to heal from their shared past event. I love that it normalizes confiding in loved ones about your fears and seeking professional help, especially a male. So many times that is seen as taboo, but Hunter embraces it (with small nudges from Kate).

Overall, I loved this hockey romance and want to read the first two in the series, as you get small glimpses of the other characters from the previous two books.

Talk Hockey to Me is the third book in the Bears Hockey series but it was my first read of the series and definitely stood alone just fine. I really enjoyed Kate who is a very strong, determined woman working in a male dominate profession and Hunter who works hard to overcome past trauma and helps promote mental health. The romance was kind of slow but I was okay with that. This book takes place in the off season so if you are someone that wants to have game play in their hockey book you may be disappointed.

This book is an emotional roller coaster as this author touches on subjects many would steer well clear off but Ms Jamieson has done a wonderful job highlighting loss and mental illness in this captivating sports romance.
Just when Hunter thinks he has the contract he has been working for his agent has a heart attack and he needs a new agent urgently to carry on the talks with the team and that’s where Kate comes in. Kate may not be a well known agent but she loves hockey and is passionate about every player she represents but can she talk Hunter into moving to a team he has avoided for most of his career....
This couple have a history and it’s clear from the moment they meet that the attraction is still there but her job is to get him the best deal not get him into bed, the chemistry is sizzling and it’s going to be hard to resist so will they act on the the feelings they both have or will Hunter’s past ruin his chance at love as well as his career. This is a fantastic addition to this series and I highly recommend you one click this gem of a read.

I am an absolute slut for a good hockey romance. Crass wording but its 100% true. Sports romances are just gold for me. I adore them.

You can imagine that I jumped on this read immediately.

Solid, sporty and with a whole lot of heart, Talk Hockey to Me is a great read.

I loved Kate drive, strength and heart, how she cares so much. On the other hand, we have Hunter, who seems to start off closed and stand-offish but as the story unfolds, we understand the demons haunting him and see him grow and open up. This story also shines light on mental health in a very sensitive way, with a light and respectful touch - something I very much appreciated and applaud the author for.

Hockey player Hunter Morrisette has known agent Kate Bridges since college and when his agent had a heart attack his first thought was to call her and ask if she would be his new agent. Kate was raised around hockey so she knew the teams that would be interested in him as an unrestricted free agent. But Hunter wouldn’t consider the team with the best overall contract, so Kate had to figure out the reason he refused to consider playing for the Bears.

Talk Hockey to Me and the rest of the Bears Series cover an important issue in hockey and all sports with the discussion of mental health and the loss of friends and how everybody deals with it differently.

I find this book to be different because of Kate's profession. I love that she is so strong, smart, loving, caring, independent and still has vulnerabilities. I love that she knows her mind and does not really hold back. I love her outlook and attitude. I love that she grows throughout the book. I love the looks back at their history in college. I love Hunter because he believes he is broken. I love that deep down he knows who he is, what he wants and his attitude of bluffing through life. I love his growth. He has such depths, especially when it comes to feelings. I love the way they fit together and the way they interact with each other and with their friends. I love Kate's family and friends. I love the writing and the way the characters are developed. I had a few tears and some laughs, but mostly I just had heart feelings.

Hunter and Kate’s story is the story of one who has lost his confidence, not on the ice, but in himself that he can go forward and Kate is just the person to push him in that direction. While we see Hunter struggle, like we all do at times, it’s his lovely Kate that tries to work him through his torment of the past. Kate is not without issues too and I love how strong she was working in a “man’s world”. I think we are all a little of both Hunter and Kate. Kelly Jamieson shows us we can rise above our past and even though it may be a long road, it’s absolutely one worth traveling.
While this may be a book with serious topics, Kelly managed to make me laugh and enjoy their story.

This was a well written sports romance which had me captivated in the story from the first to the last chapter; this is Hunter and Kate’s story and one I enjoyed.
Just when it looks like Hunter is finally going to get the contract he has worked so hard for his agent has a heart attack and he needs a new agent in a hurry and that’s where Kate comes in. Although she is not an experienced agent, she loves hockey and is passionate about it. He knows that she can help him negotiate the biggest contract of his career.
Hunter and Kate had a passionate encounter three years ago but both are determined to keep that in the past and focus on the negotiations. However, the chemistry between Hunter and Kate sizzles and they find it to hard to ignore.
This was at times an emotional roller coast of a read that got to me on numerous levels. When Hunter’s past comes back to haunt him, will Hunter make a decision that will stop him from committing to the contract of a lifetime?
